1Ja Herra puhui Moosekselle sanoen: 2"Tee itsellesi kaksi hopeatorvea, tee ne kohotakoista tekoa, käyttääksesi niitä kansan kokoonkutsumiseen ja leirien liikkeelle-panemiseen. 3Kun niihin molempiin puhalletaan, kokoontukoon sinun luoksesi koko kansa ilmestysmajan oven eteen. 4Mutta kun ainoastaan toiseen puhalletaan, kokoontukoot sinun luoksesi ruhtinaat, Israelin heimojen päämiehet. 5Mutta kun puhallatte hälytyssoiton, silloin lähtekööt itään päin leiriytyneet leirit liikkeelle. 6Ja kun toistamiseen puhallatte hälytyssoiton, lähtekööt etelään päin leiriytyneet leirit liikkeelle. Minä olen Herra, teidän Jumalanne." 11Toisen vuoden toisen kuukauden kahdentenakymmenentenä päivänä pilvi kohosi lain asumuksen päältä. 12Silloin israelilaiset lähtivät liikkeelle, leiri leirin jälkeen, Siinain erämaasta; ja pilvi pysähtyi Paaranin erämaassa. 13Niin he ensi kerran lähtivät liikkeelle sillä tavoin, kuin Herra oli Mooseksen kautta käskenyt. 14Juudan jälkeläisten leirin lippukunta lähti ensimmäisenä joukkona liikkeelle osastoittain, ja tätä osastoa johti Nahson, Amminadabin poika. 15Ja Isaskarin jälkeläisten sukukuntaosastoa johti Netanel, Suuarin poika. 16Ja Sebulonin jälkeläisten sukukuntaosastoa johti Eliab, Heelonin poika. 17Ja kun asumus oli purettu, niin lähtivät liikkeelle Geersonin pojat ja Merarin pojat, jotka kantoivat asumusta. 18Sitten lähti Ruubenin leirin lippukunta liikkeelle osastoittain, ja tätä osastoa johti Elisur, Sedeurin poika. 19Ja Simeonin jälkeläisten sukukuntaosastoa johti Selumiel, Suurisaddain poika. 20Ja Gaadin jälkeläisten sukukuntaosastoa johti Eljasaf, Deguelin poika. 21Sitten lähtivät kehatilaiset liikkeelle kantaen pyhiä esineitä. Lähde meidän kanssamme, niin me palkitsemme sinut hyvin, sillä Herra on luvannut hyvää Israelille." 30Mutta hän vastasi hänelle: "En lähde, vaan minä menen omaan maahani ja sukuni luo". 31Niin Mooses sanoi: "Älä jätä meitä, sillä sinähän tiedät, mihin meidän sopii leiriytyä erämaassa; rupea siis meille oppaaksi. 32Jos lähdet meidän kanssamme, niin me annamme sinun saada osasi siitä hyvästä, minkä Herra meille suo." 33Niin he lähtivät liikkeelle Herran vuoren luota ja vaelsivat kolme päivänmatkaa. Ja Herran liitonarkki kulki heidän edellänsä kolme päivänmatkaa etsimässä heille levähdyspaikkaa. 34Ja Herran pilvi oli heidän päällänsä päivällä, kun he lähtivät leiristä liikkeelle. 35Ja kun arkki lähti liikkeelle, niin Mooses lausui: "Nouse, Herra, hajaantukoot sinun vihollisesi, ja sinun vihamiehesi paetkoot sinua". 36Ja kun arkki laskettiin maahan, lausui hän: "Palaja, Herra, Israelin heimojen kymmentuhansien tykö".

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
