1Ja hän puhui heille vertauksen siitä, että heidän tuli aina rukoilla eikä väsyä. 2Hän sanoi: "Eräässä kaupungissa oli tuomari, joka ei peljännyt Jumalaa eikä hävennyt ihmisiä. 3Ja siinä kaupungissa oli leskivaimo, joka vähän väliä tuli hänen luoksensa ja sanoi: 'Auta minut oikeuteeni riitapuoltani vastaan'. 4Mutta pitkään aikaan hän ei tahtonut. Vaan sitten hän sanoi mielessään: 'Vaikka en pelkää Jumalaa enkä häpeä ihmisiä, 5niin kuitenkin, koska tämä leski tuottaa minulle vaivaa, minä autan hänet oikeuteensa, ettei hän lopulta tulisi ja kävisi minun silmilleni'." 6Niin Herra sanoi: "Kuulkaa, mitä tuo väärä tuomari sanoo! 7Eikö sitten Jumala toimittaisi oikeutta valituillensa, jotka häntä yötä päivää avuksi huutavat, ja viivyttäisikö hän heiltä apuansa? 8Minä sanon teille: hän toimittaa heille oikeuden pian. How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
