Juudit menee assurilaisten leiriin.
1Kun hän oli lakannut huutamasta avuksi Israelin Jumalaa ja lopettanut kaikki nämä sanat, 2Nousi hän ylös maasta, kutsui luokseen palvelusneitsyensä ja astui alas siihen huoneeseen, jossa hänen oli tapana oleskella sapatteina ja juhlapäivinänsä. 3Ja hän pani pois säkkipuvun, johon hän oli ollut pukeutuneena, ja riisui yltään leskeysvaatteensa. Vielä hän pesi ruumiinsa vedellä ja voiteli sen kalliilla voiteella, järjesti päänsä hiukset ja pani siihen pääkoristeen ja pukeutui juhlavaatteisiinsa, joita hän miehensä Manassen eläessä oli kantanut. 4Ja pani paula-anturat jalkaansa ja otti jalkakäädyt, rannerenkaat, sormukset, korvarenkaat ja kaikki muut koristuksensa. How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
