Isaiah 49
1Kuulkaa minua, te merensaaret, ja tarkatkaa, kaukaiset kansat. Teiden varsilta he löytävät laitumen, kaikki kalliokukkulat ovat heillä laidunpaikkoina. 10Ei heidän tule nälkä eikä jano, ei hietikon helle eikä aurinko satu heihin, sillä heidän armahtajansa johdattaa heitä ja vie heidät vesilähteille. 11Minä teen kaikki vuoreni teiksi, ja minun valtatieni kulkevat korkealla. 12Katso heitä, he tulevat kaukaa! Missä nämä silloin olivat? 22Näin sanoo Herra, Herra: Katso, minä nostan käteni kansakuntien puoleen, kohotan lippuni kansoja kohti, niin he tuovat sinun poikasi sylissänsä ja kantavat sinun tyttäresi olkapäillään. 23Kuninkaista tulee sinulle lastenhoitajat, heidän ruhtinattaristaan sinulle imettäjät. Sinun edessäsi he kumartuvat maahan kasvoillensa ja nuolevat tomun sinun jaloistasi. Silloin sinä tiedät, että minä olen Herra ja että ne, jotka minua odottavat, eivät häpeään joudu. 24Otetaanko sankarilta saalis, tai riistetäänkö vangit vanhurskaalta? 25Sillä näin sanoo Herra: Vaikka vangit otettaisiinkin sankarilta ja saalis riistettäisiin väkevältä, niin minä kuitenkin taistelen sitä vastaan, joka sinua vastaan taistelee, ja minä pelastan sinun lapsesi. 26Minä panen sinun sortajasi syömään omaa lihaansa, ja he juopuvat omasta verestään niinkuin rypälemehusta; ja kaikki liha on tietävä, että minä, Herra, olen sinun pelastajasi, että Jaakobin Väkevä on sinun lunastajasi.

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
