BAABELIN BEEL BEEL JA LOHIKÄÄRME.

Sillä se on sisältä savea ja päältä vaskea: eikä se ole milloinkaan syönyt. 8Niin kuningas vihastui ja kutsui Beelin papit ja sanoi heille: Ellette sano minulle, kuka nämä ruokatavarat syö, on teidän kuoltava. 9Mutta jos voitte näyttää toteen, että Beel syö ne, on Danielin kuoltava, sillä hän on pilkannut Beeliä. Ja Daniel sanoi: Katsokaa jumalianne! 28Kun babylonilaiset sen kuulivat, närkästyivät he ja ryhtyivät kapinaan kuningasta vastaan ja sanoivat: Kuningas on tullut juutalaiseksi: Beelin hän on kukistanut, lohikäärmeen tappanut ja papit teurastanut. 29Ja he tulivat kuninkaan eteen ja sanoivat: Luovuta meille Daniel; mutta ellet, niin me tapamme sinut ja sinun perheesi. 30Kun kuningas näki, että he kovasti ahdistivat häntä, niin hän taipui pakkoon ja luovutti heille Danielin. 31Mutta he heittivät tämän jalopeurain luolaan, ja hän oli siellä kuusi päivää. 32Ja luolassa oli seitsemän jalopeuraa, ja niille annettiin kaksi ihmisruumista ja kaksi lammasta päivässä. How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
