Sự Thành Tín của Đức Chúa Trời
1Vậy người Do Thái hưởng đặc ân gì của Đức Chúa Trời? Lễ cắt bì có giá trị gì? 2Thưa, họ hưởng đủ thứ đặc ân. Trước hết, Do Thái là dân tộc được ủy thác thông điệp Đức Chúa Trời truyền cho loài người. 3Nếu có người Do Thái thất tín, không vâng phục Đức Chúa Trời, chẳng lẽ vì thế mà Ngài thất tín sao? 4Tuyệt đối không! Vì chỉ có loài người mới lật lừa dối trá, còn Đức Chúa Trời luôn luôn chân thật, như Thánh Kinh chép về Ngài: “Lời Chúa luôn công bằng trong lời Ngài phán,và Ngài đắc thắng khi bị xét đoán.” ▼
5Có vài người nói: “Nhưng tội lỗi chúng ta làm nổi bật đức công chính của Đức Chúa Trời. Có phải như thế là bất công khi Ngài hình phạt chúng ta không?” (Theo lập luận của một vài người). 6Tuyệt đối không! Vì nếu Đức Chúa Trời bất công thì còn xét xử được thế gian sao? 7Cũng theo lập luận trên, có người thắc mắc: nếu sự lừa dối của tôi làm sáng tỏ đức chân thật của Đức Chúa Trời, sao tôi còn bị Ngài xét xử như người có tội? 8Lập luận kiểu ấy, chẳng khác gì bảo: “Gieo ác sẽ gặt thiện!” Thế mà có người dám nói chúng tôi cũng giảng dạy như thế! Họ xứng đáng bị phán xét.
Cả Nhân Loại Đều Là Tội Nhân
9Vậy người Do Thái có lương thiện hơn các dân tộc khác không? Hẳn là không, vì như chúng ta vừa trình bày, người Do Thái và Dân Ngoại đều ở dưới quyền lực của tội. 10Như Thánh Kinh chép: “Chẳng một người nào công chính—dù chỉ một người thôi.
11 Chẳng có ai hiểu biết Đức Chúa Trời;
không ai tìm kiếm Ngài
12 Mọi người đều trở mặt;
đi vào đường lầm lạc.
Chẳng một ai làm lành,
dù một người cũng không.” ▼
13 “Họng họ hôi hám thô tục, như cửa mộ bốc mùi hôi thối.
Lưỡi họ chuyên lừa dối.
Môi chứa nọc rắn hổ.” ▼
14“Miệng phun lời nguyền rủa cay độc.” ▼
15“Họ nhanh chân đi giết người.
16Đến đâu cũng để lại vết điêu tàn, khốn khổ.
17Họ chẳng biết con đường hạnh phúc, an lành.” ▼
18 “Cũng chẳng nể nang, kính sợ Đức Chúa Trời.” ▼
19Chúng ta biết mọi điều luật pháp đòi hỏi đều áp dụng cho những người sống dưới luật pháp, nên chẳng ai có thể chạy tội và cả nhân loại sẽ bị Đức Chúa Trời xét xử. 20Chiếu theo luật pháp, chẳng ai được kể là công chính, vô tội trước mặt Đức Chúa Trời, vì luật pháp chỉ giúp con người biết mình có tội.

21Nhưng ngày nay, Đức Chúa Trời công bố phương pháp trở nên công chính với Ngài mà không nhờ luật pháp. Ngay luật pháp Môi-se và các tiên tri cũng xác nhận điều ấy. 22Chúng ta được kể là công chính bởi đặt đức tin trong Chúa Cứu Thế Giê-xu. Sự thật này cho mọi người tin, không phân biệt một ai. 23Vì mọi người đều phạm tội; tất cả chúng ta đều thiếu hụt vinh quang Đức Chúa Trời. 24Nhưng Đức Chúa Trời ban ơn, rộng lòng tha thứ, kể chúng ta là công chính, do công lao cứu chuộc bằng máu của Chúa Cứu Thế Giê-xu. 25Đức Chúa Trời đã cho Chúa Giê-xu như sinh tế chuộc tội chúng ta, những người tin cậy máu Ngài. Việc cứu chuộc này chứng tỏ đức công chính của Đức Chúa Trời đối với tội lỗi loài người trong quá khứ và hiện tại. Trong quá khứ, Ngài nhẫn nhục bỏ qua tội lỗi. 26Trong hiện tại, Ngài cũng bày tỏ sự công chính của Ngài. Đức Chúa Trời cho thấy Ngài là công chính và là Đấng xưng công chính cho tội nhân khi họ tin nơi Chúa Giê-xu. 27Vậy con người có lý do nào để tự hào không? Tuyệt đối không! Vì nhờ đức tin mà chúng ta được cứu, không phải do việc làm. 28Chúng tôi xin xác nhận: Con người được kể là công chính bởi đức tin, chứ không phải vì vâng giữ luật pháp. 29Phải chăng Đức Chúa Trời chỉ là Đức Chúa Trời của người Do Thái? Chẳng phải Ngài cũng là Đức Chúa Trời của Dân Ngoại nữa sao? Dĩ nhiên, Ngài cũng là Chúa của Dân Ngoại nữa. 30Vì chỉ có một Đức Chúa Trời duy nhất, Ngài xưng công chính cho người bởi đức tin cả người Do Thái lẫn Dân Ngoại. 31Đã có đức tin, chúng ta nên hủy bỏ luật pháp không? Chẳng bao giờ! Ngược lại, nhờ đức tin mà luật pháp được vững vàng.

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
