Lời Chào Mừng từ Phao-lô
1Đây là thư của Phao-lô, đầy tớ Chúa Cứu Thế Giê-xu, được Đức Chúa Trời chọn làm sứ đồ và ủy thác nhiệm vụ truyền giảng Phúc Âm. 2Đức Chúa Trời đã hứa Phúc Âm này từ xưa trong các sách tiên tri của Thánh Kinh. 3Ấy là Phúc Âm về Con Ngài. Đấng giáng thế làm người thuộc dòng Vua Đa-vít, 4về Thần Linh, ▼▼ Như Thần Linh Ngài
Chúa sống lại từ cõi chết chứng tỏ Ngài là Con Đức Chúa Trời đầy uy quyền, là Chúa Cứu Thế Giê-xu, Chúa chúng ta. 5Nhờ Chúa Cứu Thế, Đức Chúa Trời đã ban ơn cứu rỗi, dùng các sứ đồ để dìu dắt các Dân Ngoại vào con đường tin cậy và vâng phục Danh Ngài. 6Trong các Dân Ngoại ấy, có cả anh chị em là người được Chúa chọn làm con dân của Chúa Cứu Thế Giê-xu. 7Tôi viết thư này gửi đến anh chị em tại La Mã, là người Đức Chúa Trời yêu thương và kêu gọi trở nên dân thánh của Ngài. Cầu chúc anh chị em hằng hưởng được ơn phước và bình an của Đức Chúa Trời, Cha chúng ta, và của Chúa Cứu Thế Giê-xu. Phúc Âm của Đức Chúa Trời
8Trước hết, tôi xin nhờ Chúa Cứu Thế Giê-xu dâng lên lời cảm tạ Đức Chúa Trời tôi vì đức tin anh chị em đã được Hội Thánh khắp nơi khen ngợi. 9Ngày và đêm, tôi dâng anh chị em và nhu cầu của anh chị em trong lời cầu nguyện lên Đức Chúa Trời, là Đấng mà tôi hết lòng phục vụ bằng cách truyền bá Phúc Âm của Con Ngài. 10Tôi cũng cầu xin Đức Chúa Trời, nếu đẹp ý Ngài, cho tôi có phương tiện và cơ hội đến thăm anh chị em. 11Vì tôi nóng lòng muốn gặp anh chị em để chia sẻ ân tứ tâm linh, giúp anh chị em ngày càng vững mạnh, 12để anh chị em và tôi đều khích lệ lẫn nhau bởi đức tin của mỗi người. 13Thưa anh chị em, tôi muốn anh chị em biết điều này. Đã nhiều lần tôi định đi thăm anh chị em để gặt hái hoa quả tốt đẹp, như tôi đã làm tại các nước khác, nhưng cho đến nay, tôi vẫn gặp trở ngại. 14Tôi có bổn phận nặng nề với các dân tộc, văn minh lẫn dã man, trí thức lẫn thất học. 15Vì thế, tôi thiết tha mong ước đến với anh chị em tại La Mã để truyền giảng Phúc Âm. 16Tôi chẳng bao giờ hổ thẹn về Phúc Âm của Chúa Cứu Thế. Vì Phúc Âm thể hiện quyền năng Đức Chúa Trời để cứu rỗi mọi người tin nhận—trước hết, Phúc Âm được công bố cho người Do Thái, rồi truyền bá cho Dân Ngoại. ▼▼ Người Hy Lạp
17Phúc Âm dạy rõ: Đối với Đức Chúa Trời, con người được tha tội và coi là công chính một khi tin Chúa Cứu Thế rồi tuần tự tiến bước bởi đức tin, như Thánh Kinh đã dạy: “Người công bình sẽ sống bởi đức tin.” ▼ Cơn Giận của Đức Chúa Trời đối với Tội Lỗi
18Những người vô đạo, bất công, bất nghĩa, xuyên tạc sự thật, sẽ bị Đức Chúa Trời hình phạt. 19Vì sự thật về Đức Chúa Trời đã được giãi bày cho họ, chính Đức Chúa Trời đã tỏ cho họ biết. 20Từ khi sáng tạo trời đất, những đặc tính vô hình của Đức Chúa Trời—tức là quyền năng vô tận và bản tính thần tính—đã hiển nhiên trước mắt mọi người, ai cũng có thể nhận thấy nhờ những vật hữu hình, nên họ không còn lý do để không biết Đức Chúa Trời. 21Dù biết Đức Chúa Trời nhưng họ chẳng tôn vinh hay tri ân Ngài. Họ suy tư trong vòng lẩn quẩn, tâm hồn bị sa lầy trong bóng tối. 22Họ tự nhận là khôn ngoan nhưng hóa ra mê muội. 23Thay vì thờ phượng Đức Chúa Trời vinh quang hằng sống, họ tôn thờ thần tượng như con người hư nát, đến cả hình tượng chim, thú, hay loài bò sát. 24Vì thế, Đức Chúa Trời để mặc họ theo dục vọng, sa đắm vào sắc dục, làm ô nhục thân thể của nhau. 25Họ tráo đổi chân lý của Đức Chúa Trời bằng chuyện giả dối và thờ phượng tạo vật thay cho Tạo Hóa, là Đấng đáng được tôn thờ muôn đời! A-men. 26Do đó, Đức Chúa Trời để mặc họ theo dục tình ô nhục. Đàn bà bỏ cách luyến ái tự nhiên để theo lối phản tự nhiên. 27Đàn ông cũng bỏ liên hệ tự nhiên với đàn bà mà luyến ái lẫn nhau theo lối tình dục đồng giới đáng ghê tởm, để rồi chịu hình phạt xứng đáng với thói hư tật xấu của mình. 28Vì họ từ chối, không chịu nhìn nhận Đức Chúa Trời, nên Ngài để mặc họ làm những việc hư đốn theo đầu óc sa đọa. 29Đời sống họ đầy tội lỗi, gian ác, hiểm độc, tham lam, ganh ghét, giết người, tranh chấp, gian trá, quỷ quyệt, nói xấu, 30phao vu, ghét Đức Chúa Trời, xấc láo, kiêu căng, khoác lác, ưa tìm cách làm ác mới mẻ, nghịch cha mẹ, 31không phân biệt thiện ác, bội ước, không tình nghĩa, không thương xót. 32Dù họ biết rõ theo luật Đức Chúa Trời, người làm những việc ấy đều đáng chết, thế mà họ cứ phạm luật, lại còn khuyến khích người khác làm theo nữa.

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
