1Chúa Giê-xu kể câu chuyện dạy các môn đệ phải bền lòng cầu nguyện, không bao giờ mỏi mệt: 2“Tại thành phố kia có một phán quan không kính sợ Đức Chúa Trời, cũng chẳng vị nể ai. 3Trong thành phố ấy có một quả phụ đến xin phán quan xét xử và nói: ‘Xin xét công minh cho tôi để chống lại kẻ thù tôi.’ 4Vị phán quan chẳng quan tâm, tuy thế, về sau ông tự nhủ: ‘Dù ta không kính sợ Đức Chúa Trời, cũng chẳng vị nể ai, 5nhưng chị này làm phiền ta quá, ta phải xét xử công bằng để chị khỏi đến quấy rầy, làm nhức đầu ta!’” 6Chúa dạy tiếp: “Các con có nghe lời phán quan bất công ấy nói không? 7Lẽ nào Đức Chúa Trời lại không xem xét bênh vực những đứa con yêu ngày đêm kêu xin Ngài mà lại chậm đến giải cứu họ sao? 8Chắc chắn Ngài sẽ vội vàng xét xử công minh cho họ. 9Chúa Giê-xu kể câu chuyện dạy những ai lên mặt đạo đức, khinh người: 10“Có hai người lên Đền Thờ cầu nguyện. Một là thành viên Pha-ri-si, còn người kia là người thu thuế. 11Thầy Pha-ri-si đứng cầu nguyện: ‘Cảm tạ Đức Chúa Trời, tôi không có tội như người ta. Tôi không gian lận, bất công, ngoại tình. Khác hẳn tên thu thuế kia! 12Mỗi tuần tôi kiêng ăn hai ngày và dâng lên Đức Chúa Trời một phần mười các thứ lợi tức.’ 13Còn người thu thuế đứng xa xa, không dám ngẩng mặt lên, chỉ đấm ngực than thở: ‘Lạy Đức Chúa Trời, xin thương xót con, vì con là người tội lỗi.’ 14Ta nói với các con, người tội lỗi này, không phải là người Pha-ri-si, trở về nhà mình được xưng là công chính. Vì ai tự đề cao sẽ bị hạ xuống, còn ai hạ mình sẽ được đề cao.”Chúa Giê-xu Ban Phước cho Trẻ Con
15Một hôm, cha mẹ đem con của họ đến gần Chúa để Ngài đặt tay và ban phước cho các em. Nhưng các môn đệ trách mắng không cho quấy rầy Ngài. 16Chúa Giê-xu gọi các em đến và nói với các môn đệ: “Cứ để trẻ con lại gần Ta. Đừng ngăn cản! Vì Nước của Đức Chúa Trời thuộc về những người giống các em này. 17Ta quả quyết với các con, ai không tiếp nhận Đức Chúa Trời như con trẻ, sẽ không được vào Nước của Đức Chúa Trời.”Người Giàu
18Một nhà lãnh đạo tôn giáo hỏi Chúa Giê-xu: “Thưa Thầy nhân lành, tôi phải làm gì để được sống vĩnh cửu?” 19Chúa Giê-xu đáp: “Tại sao ngươi gọi Ta là nhân lành? Chỉ có một Đấng nhân lành là Đức Chúa Trời. 20Hẳn ngươi biết các điều răn: ‘Các ngươi không được ngoại tình. Các ngươi không được giết người. Các ngươi không được trộm cắp. Các ngươi không được làm chứng dối. Phải hiếu kính cha mẹ.’ ▼” 21Ông tự hào: “Từ thuở nhỏ đến giờ, tôi luôn luôn vâng giữ các điều răn đó!” 22Chúa Giê-xu khuyên: “Ông còn thiếu một điều. Bán hết tài sản lấy tiền phân phát cho người nghèo để chứa của cải trên trời, rồi theo làm môn đệ Ta.” 23Nghe Chúa dạy, ông rất buồn rầu vì tài sản quá nhiều. 24Chúa Giê-xu nhìn ông, nói với các môn đệ: “Người giàu vào Nước của Đức Chúa Trời thật khó! 25Lạc đà chui qua lỗ kim còn dễ hơn người giàu vào Nước của Đức Chúa Trời.” 26Mọi người nghe đều ngạc nhiên: “Vậy thì ai được cứu?” 27Chúa đáp: “Đức Chúa Trời làm những việc người ta không thể làm được.” 28Phi-e-rơ thưa: “Chúng con đã bỏ nhà cửa để theo Thầy!” 29Chúa Giê-xu dạy: “Đúng vậy, Ta bảo đảm với các con, ai bỏ nhà cửa, anh chị em, cha mẹ, vợ con vì Nước của Đức Chúa Trời, 30sẽ nhận lại gấp trăm lần trong đời này, và đời sau được sống vĩnh cửu.”Chúa Giê-xu Lại Báo Trước về Sự Chết của Ngài
31Chúa Giê-xu đem riêng mười hai sứ đồ ra, và phán: “Hãy lắng nghe, chúng ta sẽ lên Giê-ru-sa-lem, tất cả những lời tiên tri đã viết về Con Người sẽ được ứng nghiệm. 32Ngài sẽ bị bắt nộp cho người La Mã. Ngài sẽ bị chế giễu, nhục mạ, phỉ nhổ. 33Họ sẽ đánh đập rồi giết Ngài, nhưng sau ba ngày, Ngài sẽ sống lại.” 34Nhưng các sứ đồ không hiểu Chúa nói gì, vì trí óc họ như bị đóng kín.Chúa Giê-xu Chữa Lành Người Hành Khất Khiếm Thị
35Khi Chúa Giê-xu đến gần thành Giê-ri-cô, một người khiếm thị ngồi ăn xin bên đường. 36Khi anh nghe tiếng huyên náo, liền hỏi chuyện gì xảy ra. 37Họ nói với ông rằng có Giê-xu, người Na-xa-rét đi qua đây. 38Anh gọi lớn: “Lạy Chúa Giê-xu, Con của Đa-vít, xin thương xót con!” 39Những người đi trước la anh: “Im đi!” Nhưng anh la to hơn: “Con của Đa-vít, xin thương xót con!” 40Chúa Giê-xu nghe anh, Ngài dừng lại và ra lệnh đem anh ấy đến với Ngài. Khi anh đến gần, Chúa Giê-xu hỏi: 41“Con muốn Ta giúp gì đây?” Anh mừng rỡ: “Lạy Chúa, xin cho mắt con thấy được.” 42Chúa Giê-xu truyền lệnh: “Sáng mắt lại! Đức tin con đã chữa cho con lành.” 43Lập tức anh thấy được rõ ràng và đi theo Chúa Giê-xu, vừa đi vừa cảm tạ Đức Chúa Trời. Mọi người chứng kiến đều ca ngợi Đức Chúa Trời.

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
