Khốn cho Giê-ru-sa-lem
1 Thành Giê-ru-sa-lem, một thời dân cư đông đúc,
giờ đây hoang vu quạnh quẽ.
Xưa, thành ấy hùng cường giữa các quốc gia,
ngày nay đơn độc như góa phụ.
Nàng từng là nữ vương ▼
▼ Ctd người đàn bà quý phái giữa các tỉnh
trên trái đất,bây giờ như một kẻ lao dịch khổ sai.
2 Nàng đắng cay than khóc thâu đêm;
nước mắt đầm đìa đôi má.
Với bao nhiêu tình nhân thuở trước,
nay không còn một người ủi an.
Bạn bè nàng đều trở mặt,
và trở thành thù địch của nàng.
3 Giu-đa bị dẫn đi lưu đày,
bị áp bức trong lao công nặng nhọc.
Nàng sống giữa những nước ngoại bang
và không nơi cho nàng ngơi nghỉ.
Tất cả bọn săn đuổi đã bắt kịp nàng,
nàng không còn nơi trốn chạy.
4 Những con đường về Si-ôn than khóc,
vì không bóng người trong ngày trẩy hội.
Cửa thành hoang vu,
các thầy tế lễ thở than,
những trinh nữ kêu khóc—
số phận nàng toàn là cay đắng!
5 Quân thù đã chiến thắng,
ung dung thống trị,
vì Chúa Hằng Hữu đã hình phạt Giê-ru-sa-lem
bởi vi phạm quá nhiều tội lỗi.
Dân chúng bị quân thù chặn bắt
và giải đi lưu đày biệt xứ.
6 Tất cả vẻ lộng lẫy của con gái Si-ôn
giờ đây đã tiêu tan.
Vua chúa nó như con nai đói
tìm không ra đồng cỏ.
Họ không còn đủ sức để chạy
mong tránh khỏi sự săn đuổi của quân thù.
7 Trong ngày buồn khổ và lang thang,
Giê-ru-sa-lem nhớ lại thời vàng son xưa cũ.
Nhưng bây giờ nằm trong tay quân thù,
nào ai ra tay giúp đỡ.
Quân thù hả hê ngắm Giê-ru-sa-lem điêu tàn,
và nhạo cười thành phố hoang vu.
8 Giê-ru-sa-lem đã phạm tội nặng nề
vì vậy bị ném đi như tấm giẻ rách bẩn thỉu.
Những người kính nể nàng nay khinh khi,
vì thấy nàng bị lột trần và nhục nhã.
Nàng chỉ có thể thở dài
và rút lui tìm nơi giấu mặt.
9 Sự nhơ nhuốc dính vào váy nàng,
nàng chẳng lo nghĩ về ngày mai.
Giờ đây nàng nằm trong bùn lầy,
không một ai kéo nàng ra khỏi.
Nàng kêu khóc: “Chúa Hằng Hữu ơi, xin đoái xem cơn hoạn nạn con
vì quân thù đã chiến thắng!”
10 Quân thù cướp đoạt mọi bảo vật của nàng,
lấy đi mọi thứ quý giá của nàng.
Nàng thấy các dân tộc nước ngoài xông vào Đền Thờ thánh của nàng,
là nơi Chúa Hằng Hữu cấm họ không được vào.
11 Dân chúng vừa than thở vừa đi tìm bánh.
Họ đem vàng bạc, châu báu đổi lấy thức ăn để mong được sống.
Nàng than thở: “Ôi Chúa Hằng Hữu, xin đoái nhìn con,
vì con bị mọi người khinh dể.
12 Này, các khách qua đường, các người không chạnh lòng xót thương sao?
Các người xem có dân tộc nào bị buồn đau như dân tộc tôi,
chỉ vì Chúa Hằng Hữu hình phạt tôi
trong ngày Chúa nổi cơn giận phừng phừng.
13 Từ trời, Chúa đổ lửa xuống, thiêu đốt xương cốt tôi.
Chúa đặt cạm bẫy trên đường tôi đi và đẩy lui tôi.
Chúa bỏ dân tôi bị tàn phá,
tiêu tan vì bệnh tật suốt ngày.
14 Chúa dệt tội lỗi tôi thành sợi dây
để buộc vào cổ tôi ách nô lệ.
Chúa Hằng Hữu tiêu diệt sức mạnh tôi và nộp mạng tôi cho quân thù;
tôi không tài nào chống cự nổi.
15 Chúa Hằng Hữu đã đối xử khinh miệt với dũng sĩ của tôi.
Một quân đội đông đảo kéo đến
theo lệnh Ngài để tàn sát các trai trẻ.
Chúa Hằng Hữu giẫm đạp các trinh nữ Giu-đa
như nho bị đạp trong máy ép.
16 Vì tất cả điều này nên tôi khóc lóc;
nước mắt đầm đìa trên má tôi.
Không một ai ở đây an ủi tôi;
người làm tươi tỉnh tâm linh tôi đã đi xa.
Con cái tôi không có tương lai
vì quân thù chiến thắng.”
17 Giê-ru-sa-lem đưa tay lên kêu cứu,
nhưng không một ai an ủi.
Chúa Hằng Hữu đã ra lệnh
cho các dân tộc lân bang chống lại dân tôi.
“Hãy để các nước lân bang trở thành kẻ thù của chúng!
Hãy để chúng bị ném xa như tấm giẻ bẩn thỉu.”
18 Giê-ru-sa-lem nói: “Chúa Hằng Hữu là công chính,
vì tôi đã phản nghịch Ngài.
Hãy lắng nghe, hỡi các dân tộc;
hãy nhìn cảnh đau khổ và tuyệt vọng của dân tôi,
vì các con trai và các con gái tôi
đều bị bắt đi lưu đày biệt xứ.
19 Tôi cầu xin các nước liên minh giúp đỡ,
nhưng họ đã phản bội tôi.
Các thầy tế lễ và các lãnh đạo tôi
đều chết đói trong thành phố,
dù họ đã tìm kiếm thức ăn
để cứu mạng sống mình.
20 Lạy Chúa Hằng Hữu, xin đoái xem nỗi đau đớn của con!
Lòng con bối rối
và linh hồn con đau thắt,
vì con đã phản loạn cùng Chúa.
Trên đường phố có gươm đao chém giết,
trong nhà chỉ có chết chóc tràn lan.
21 Xin nghe tiếng con thở than,
nhưng chẳng một người nào an ủi con.
Khi quân thù nghe tin con hoạn nạn.
Họ mừng rỡ vì tay Chúa đánh phạt con.
Vào đúng thời điểm Ngài ấn định, ▼
▼ Nt Chúa sẽ đem lại ngày mà Chúa đã gọi
để họ cùng chịu hoạn nạn như con.
22 Xin xem tất cả tội ác họ đã làm, lạy Chúa Hằng Hữu.
Xin hình phạt họ,
như Ngài hình phạt con
vì tất cả tội lỗi con.
Con than thở triền miên,
và tim con như dừng lại.”

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
