Chúa Giê-xu Chữa Lành Người Khiếm Thị từ lúc Sơ Sinh
1Đang đi, Chúa Giê-xu gặp một người khiếm thị từ lúc sơ sinh. 2Các môn đệ hỏi Chúa: “Thưa Thầy, vì tội của ai mà anh này từ lúc mới sinh đã mù lòa như thế? Tội của anh hay của cha mẹ anh?” 3Chúa Giê-xu đáp: “Không phải vì tội của ai cả! Đức Chúa Trời muốn dùng anh này để chứng tỏ quyền năng siêu việt của Ngài. 4Khi còn ban ngày Ta phải làm những việc Cha Ta giao thác; trong đêm tối không còn cơ hội làm việc nữa. 5Khi còn ở trần gian, Ta là Nguồn Sáng cho nhân loại.” 6Nói xong Chúa nhổ nước bọt xuống đất, hòa bùn thoa vào mắt người khiếm thị. 7Ngài phán: “Hãy xuống ao Si-lô rửa mắt cho sạch” (chữ Si-lô có nghĩa là “được sai đi”). Người khiếm thị đi rửa, trở về liền được sáng mắt! 8Hàng xóm láng giềng và người quen biết anh hành khất khiếm thị đều kinh ngạc hỏi nhau: “Đây có phải là người thường ngồi ăn xin không?” 9Vài người nói chính là anh ấy, người khác lại bảo: “Không phải đâu, chỉ trông giống anh ấy thôi!” Nhưng người ăn xin lên tiếng xác nhận: “Tôi là người đó!” 10Họ hỏi: “Làm sao mắt anh được lành?” 11Anh đáp: “Một người tên Giê-xu đã hòa bùn xức mắt tôi và bảo tôi đi rửa dưới ao Si-lô. Tôi vâng lời đến đó rửa nên thấy được!” 12Họ lại hỏi: “Ông ấy đâu rồi?” Anh đáp: “Tôi không biết.” 13Họ dắt anh đến trình các thầy Pha-ri-si, 14vì Chúa Giê-xu hòa bùn mở mắt cho anh nhằm ngày Sa-bát. 15Các thầy Pha-ri-si cũng hỏi anh tại sao mắt được lành. Anh thưa: “Ông ấy thoa bùn vào mắt tôi, tôi rửa đi thì thấy được!” 16Các thầy Pha-ri-si nói: “Ông ấy không phải là người của Đức Chúa Trời, vì không tôn trọng ngày Sa-bát.” Nhưng người khác cãi lại: “Người có tội đâu làm nỗi phép lạ ấy?” Vậy, giữa họ có sự chia rẽ. 17Họ quay lại hỏi anh khiếm thị mới được sáng mắt: “Anh nghĩ thế nào về người đã chữa mắt cho anh?” Anh thưa: “Tôi nghĩ ông ấy là một tiên tri.” 18Các nhà lãnh đạo Do Thái vẫn không tin chuyện anh khiếm thị được sáng mắt nên gọi cha mẹ anh đến. 19Họ hỏi: “Có phải người này là con ông bà không? Có phải nó bị mù từ lúc mới sinh không? Thế sao bây giờ nó thấy được?” 20Cha mẹ anh đáp: “Nó đúng là con trai chúng tôi, khiếm thị từ lúc mới sinh, 21nhưng chúng tôi không biết tại sao nó thấy được hay ai chữa mắt cho nó. Nó đã khôn lớn có thể trả lời, xin các ông cứ hỏi nó.” 22Cha mẹ anh nói thế vì sợ các cấp lãnh đạo Do Thái, là người đã thông báo sẽ khai trừ khỏi hội đường những ai nhìn nhận Chúa Giê-xu là Đấng Mết-si-a. 23Đó là lý do họ nói: “Nó đã đủ tuổi. Hãy hỏi nó.” 24Một lần nữa, họ gọi người khiếm thị mới được chữa lành đến và nói: “Hãy ca tụng Đức Chúa Trời! Chúng ta biết Giê-xu này là người tội lỗi.” 25Anh đáp: “Tôi không biết ông ấy có tội lỗi hay không, nhưng tôi chỉ biết trước tôi khiếm thị mà nay được sáng!” 26Họ lại hỏi: “Ông ấy làm gì? Chữa mắt anh cách nào?” 27Anh than phiền: “Này! Tôi đã nói rồi. Sao các ông không lưu ý? Các ông muốn nghe lần nữa? Hay các ông muốn làm môn đệ ông ấy?” 28Họ mắng: “Hạng người như mày mới làm môn đệ ông ấy, còn chúng ta là môn đệ Môi-se! 29Chúng ta biết Môi-se được hầu chuyện Đức Chúa Trời, còn người này chúng ta chẳng biết tông tích từ đâu!” 30Anh trả lời: “Lạ lùng chưa! Ông ấy đã mở mắt cho tôi được sáng, mà các ông bảo không biết ai sai ông ấy đến? 31Chúng ta đều biết Đức Chúa Trời không bao giờ nghe lời cầu xin của người tội lỗi, nhưng Ngài chỉ nhậm lời người tôn kính và vâng lời Ngài. 32Xưa nay, chưa bao giờ có ai chữa lành người khiếm thị từ lúc sơ sinh. 33Nếu ông ấy không do Đức Chúa Trời sai đến thì làm việc này sao được?” 34Họ bực tức mắng: “Mày mới sinh ra tội lỗi đã đầy mình, còn muốn lên mặt dạy đời sao?” Rồi anh bị họ trục xuất khỏi hội đường.Tâm Linh Mù Quáng
35Chúa Giê-xu nghe tin liền tìm anh hỏi: “Anh có tin Con Người ▼▼ “Con Người” là danh xưng Chúa Giê-xu chỉ về Ngài
không?” 36Anh đáp: “Thưa, Người ấy là ai? Xin ông cho biết để tôi tin.” 37Chúa Giê-xu đáp: “Anh đã gặp Người ấy và Người đang nói chuyện với anh đây!” 38Anh cung kính: “Thưa Chúa, con tin!” rồi quỳ xuống thờ lạy Chúa Giê-xu. 39Chúa Giê-xu dạy: “Ta xuống trần gian để phán xét, giúp người mù được sáng, và cho người sáng biết họ đang mù.” 40Mấy thầy Pha-ri-si đứng gần nghe câu ấy, liền chất vấn: “Thầy bảo chúng tôi mù sao?” 41Chúa Giê-xu đáp: “Nếu các ông biết mình mù thì được khỏi tội. Nhưng các ông cứ cho mình sáng nên tội vẫn còn.”

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
