Giê-ru-sa-lem Sụp Đổ
1Sê-đê-kia được hai mươi mốt tuổi khi lên ngôi và trị vì mười một năm tại Giê-ru-sa-lem. Mẹ người tên là Ha-mu-ta, con gái của Giê-rê-mi ở Líp-na. 2Nhưng vua làm điều ác trước mắt Chúa Hằng Hữu như Giê-hô-gia-kim đã làm. 3Những việc này xảy ra vì Chúa Hằng Hữu nổi giận cùng người Giê-ru-sa-lem ra và Giu-đa, cho đến khi Chúa đuổi họ khỏi nơi Ngài ngự và đem họ đi lưu đày. Sê-đê-kia nổi loạn chống vua Ba-by-lôn. 4Ngày mười tháng mười của năm thứ chín đời Sê-đê-kia trị vì, Vua Nê-bu-cát-nết-sa, nước Ba-by-lôn, đem quân tấn công Giê-ru-sa-lem. Họ đóng quân chung quanh thành và xây đồn lũy để chống phá tường thành. 5Giê-ru-sa-lem bị bao vây cho đến năm mười một đời Vua Sê-đê-kia trị vì. 6Ngày chín tháng tư của năm thứ mười một đời Sê-đê-kia cai trị, nạn đói trong thành ngày càng trầm trọng, thực phẩm không còn. 7Tường thành bị phá vỡ, tất cả binh lính đều bỏ chạy. Từ khi thành bị quân Ba-by-lôn bao vây, binh lính đều trông chờ đến đêm tối. Họ trốn qua cổng thành giữa hai bức tường phía sau vườn ngự uyển và chạy về hướng A-ra-ba. 8Nhưng quân Ba-by-lôn đuổi theo Vua Sê-đê-kia và bắt được vua trong vùng đồng bằng Giê-ri-cô, vì tàn quân đã bỏ vua chạy tán loạn. 9Chúng giải vua về cho vua Ba-by-lôn tại Ríp-la trong xứ Ha-mát. Vua Ba-by-lôn xét xử và tuyên án Sê-đê-kia tại đó. 10Vua bắt Sê-đê-kia chứng kiến cuộc hành hình các hoàng tử và tất cả quan chức của Giu-đa. 11Chúng còn móc hai mắt Sê-đê-kia, xiềng lại bằng các sợi xích đồng, và giải về Ba-by-lôn. 12Ngày mười tháng năm, năm thứ mười chín đời Vua Nê-bu-cát-nết-sa trị vì, Nê-bu-xa-ra-đan, quan chỉ huy thị vệ và là cận thần của vua Ba-by-lôn, đến Giê-ru-sa-lem. 13Ông đốt phá Đền Thờ Chúa Hằng Hữu, cung điện, và tất cả nhà cửa tại Giê-ru-sa-lem. Ông phá hủy tất cả dinh thự trong thành. 14Rồi ông giám sát cả đoàn quân Ba-by-lôn phá sập các thành lũy bao bọc Giê-ru-sa-lem. 15Nê-bu-xa-ra-đan, quan chỉ huy thị vệ, bắt lưu đày một số dân nghèo, cùng những người sống sót trong thành, những người đầu hàng vua Ba-by-lôn, và các thợ thủ công. 16Nhưng Nê-bu-xa-ra-đan cho những người nghèo khổ nhất được ở lại trong Giu-đa để lo việc trồng nho và làm ruộng. 17Quân Ba-by-lôn phá hai trụ đồng dựng ở lối vào Đền Thờ Chúa Hằng Hữu, chân đế bằng đồng, chậu bằng đồng gọi là Biển, và lấy tất cả khí cụ bằng đồng chở về Ba-by-lôn. 18Chúng cũng khuân đi các thùng, xẻng, kéo cắt tim đèn, bồn, đĩa, và những khí cụ bằng đồng dùng trong việc dâng tế lễ trong Đền Thờ. 19Nê-bu-xa-ra-đan, quan chỉ hủy thị vệ, cũng đem đi các chén nhỏ, lư hương, chậu, nồi, chân đèn, đĩa, tách, và tất cả khí cụ bằng vàng ròng hay bạc. 20Số lượng đồng của hai trụ, cái chậu Biển và cái đế gồm mười hai con bò đực rất nặng, không tính được trọng lượng. Những vật này được làm cho Đền Thờ Chúa Hằng Hữu trong thời Vua Sa-lô-môn. 21Mỗi trụ đồng cao 8,1 mét, chu vi 5,4 mét. Trụ được làm rỗng ruột, dày gần 8 phân. 22Mỗi đỉnh trụ có phần chạm trỗ dài 2,3 mét, chung quanh có mạng lưới và thạch lựu toàn bằng đồng. 23Bốn phía trụ có 96 trái thạch lựu, và tổng cộng có 100 trái thạch lựu trên mạng lưới chung quanh đỉnh. 24Nê-bu-xa-ra-đan, quan chỉ huy thị vệ, bắt Thầy Thượng tế Sê-ra-gia, Thầy Tế lễ Sô-phô-ni, là phụ tá, và ba người gác cửa. 25Trong số những người còn trong thành, ông bắt viên thái giám chỉ huy quân đội; bảy quân sư riêng của vua; trưởng thư ký của tướng chỉ hủy quân đội, người có trách nhiệm kêu gọi nhập ngũ trong nước; cùng sáu mươi thuộc hạ khác. 26Nê-bu-xa-ra-đan, quan chỉ huy thị vệ, giải tất cả người ấy đến Ríp-la, nộp cho vua Ba-by-lôn. 27Vua Ba-by-lôn ra lệnh xử tử tất cả các nhà lãnh đạo Giu-đa ấy tại Ríp-la, xứ Ha-mát. Vậy, người Giu-đa bị lưu đày biệt xứ. 28Số dân bị lưu đày sang Ba-by-lôn vào năm thứ bảy đời Nê-bu-cát-nết-sa trị vì là 3.023 người. 29Vào năm thứ mười tám đời Nê-bu-cát-nết-sa, ông bắt thêm 832 người. 30Năm thứ hai mươi ba đời Nê-bu-cát-nết-sa, ông sai Nê-bu-xa-ra-đan, quan chỉ huy thị vệ, bắt thêm 745 người nữa—tổng cộng là 4.600 người bị bắt giữ.Hy Vọng cho Hoàng Tộc Ít-ra-ên
31Vào năm lưu đày thứ ba mươi bảy của Vua Giê-hô-gia-kin, nước Giu-đa, Ê-vinh Mê-rô-đác lên ngôi vua Ba-by-lôn. Vua ân xá cho Giê-hô-gia-kin và thả ra khỏi ngục vào ngày hai mươi lăm tháng chạp năm đó. 32Vua chuyện trò với Giê-hô-gia-kin cách nhã nhặn và cho người ngai cao hơn các vua bị lưu đày khác trong Ba-by-lôn. 33Vua cung cấp quần áo mới cho Giê-hô-gia-kin thay thế bộ áo tù bằng vải gai và cho người được ăn uống hằng ngày tại bàn ăn của vua trọn đời. 34Vậy, vua Ba-by-lôn ban bổng lộc cho Giê-hô-gia-kin trong suốt cuộc đời ông. When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
