Quyền Sửa Dạy của Cha Thiên Thượng
1Như thế, vì chung quanh ta có những rừng người chứng kiến, chúng ta hãy kiên nhẫn chạy xong cuộc đua đang tham dự, sau khi cất bỏ các chướng ngại và tội lỗi dễ vướng chân. 2Chúng ta cứ nhìn chăm Chúa Giê-xu, là căn nguyên và cứu cánh của đức tin. Nhằm vào niềm vui tối hậu, Chúa đã kiên nhẫn vác cây thập tự, xem thường sỉ nhục và hiện nay ngồi bên phải ngai Đức Chúa Trời. 3Anh chị em hãy ghi nhớ gương kiên nhẫn của Chúa trước những cuộc tiến công vũ bão của bọn người tội lỗi, để khỏi nản lòng. 4Anh chị em chiến đấu với tội ác dù gian khổ đến đâu cũng chưa phải đổ máu như Ngài. 5Anh chị em đã quên lời khuyên nhủ của Chúa, chẳng khác lời cha khuyên con: “Con ơi, đừng xem thường sự sửa dạy của Chúa,khi Chúa quở trách, con đừng chán nản.
6 Vì Chúa Hằng Hữu sửa dạy người Ngài yêu thương,
và dùng roi vọt sửa trị như con ruột.” ▼
7Anh chị em được sửa dạy vì Đức Chúa Trời coi anh chị em là con ruột. Có người con nào mà cha không sửa dạy? 8Nếu anh chị em không được sửa dạy như tất cả con cái Chúa thì chưa phải con thật của Ngài. 9Cha thể xác sửa dạy vẫn được ta tôn kính. Ta lại càng nên vâng phục Cha thiên thượng để được sức sống dồi dào. 10Cha thể xác sửa dạy một thời gian ngắn, cố gắng giúp ích ta. Nhưng Cha thiên thượng sửa dạy vì lợi ích đời đời, để ta trở nên thánh khiết như Ngài. 11Người bị sửa trị lúc đầu chỉ thấy đau buồn chứ chẳng vui sướng gì; nhưng về sau mới thấy kết quả tốt đẹp là tâm hồn bình an và nếp sống thánh thiện, công chính ngày càng tăng trưởng. 12Vậy anh chị em hãy dưới thẳng bàn tay mỏi mệt và đầu gối tê liệt. 13Hãy làm đường thẳng cho chân anh chị em đi để người què khỏi lạc đường, lại còn được chữa lành.

14Hãy cố gắng sống hòa hảo với mọi người và đeo đuổi con đường thánh hóa vì nếu không thánh hóa không ai được thấy Đức Chúa Trời. 15Hãy đề cao cảnh giác để khỏi trật phần ơn phước của Đức Chúa Trời. Đừng để điều cay đắng đâm rễ trong anh chị em, gây trở ngại và làm hoen ố nhiều người. 16Đừng ai gian dâm, hoặc phàm tục như Ê-sau, người đã bán quyền trưởng nam chỉ vì miếng ăn. 17Như anh chị em đã biết, về sau Ê-sau muốn hưởng phước lành nhưng bị khước từ. Đã quá trễ cho sự ăn năn, dù khóc lóc van xin cũng không thể làm cha mình đổi ý. 18Anh chị em không phải đến gần Núi Si-nai đang cháy rực, hoặc đến chốn tối tăm, nơi tử địa hay chỗ gió gào. 19Anh chị em cũng không nghe tiếng loa vang hay tiếng nói kinh khiếp đến nỗi ai nghe cũng xin đừng nói nữa. 20Vì người Ít-ra-ên không chịu đựng nổi lời cảnh cáo: “Dù thú vật đụng đến núi này cũng bị ném đá.” ▼ 21Quang cảnh trên núi ấy rùng rợn đến nỗi Môi-se phải nhìn nhận: “Tôi đã khiếp sợ và run cầm cập.” ▼ 22Nhưng anh chị em đã đến gần Núi Si-ôn, gần thành của Đức Chúa Trời Hằng Sống, gần thiên quốc Giê-ru-sa-lem, gần hàng triệu thiên sứ. 23Anh em đến gần đoàn thể và giáo hội của các con trưởng được ghi danh vào sổ trên trời, gần Đức Chúa Trời là Thẩm Phán Tối Cao của nhân loại, gần linh hồn các người công chính được trọn lành. 24Anh em đã đến gần Chúa Giê-xu là Đấng Trung Gian của giao ước mới giữa Đức Chúa Trời và dân Ngài, và gần máu rưới ra, là máu có năng lực cứu người và biện hộ hùng hồn hơn máu của A-bên. 25Anh chị em hãy giữ mình, đừng từ khước tiếng gọi của Chúa. Nếu người xưa khước từ lời cảnh cáo dưới đất còn không thoát khỏi trừng phạt thì chúng ta chạy đâu cho thoát một khi khước từ tiếng cảnh cáo từ trời? 26Lúc ấy, tiếng Chúa trên Núi Si-nai đã làm rúng chuyển cả mặt đất. Ngày nay, Chúa lại hứa: “Lần sau, Ta sẽ làm rúng chuyển cả đất lẫn trời.” ▼ 27Câu ấy xác nhận những gì hay rúng chuyển sẽ bị đào thải, và những gì không rúng chuyển sẽ tồn tại. 28Đã thuộc về một nước bền vững, tồn tại đời đời, chúng ta hãy ghi ân, phục vụ Chúa với lòng nhiệt thành, kính sợ để Chúa vui lòng. 29Vì Đức Chúa Trời chúng ta là một ngọn lửa thiêu đốt.

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
