Kêu Gọi Ăn Năn
1Hãy lắng nghe, hỡi người Ít-ra-ên! Hãy nghe bài ai ca mà ta đang than khóc:2 “Trinh nữ Ít-ra-ên ngã xuống,
chẳng bao giờ chỗi dậy nữa,
Nó nằm sải dài trên đất,
không ai nâng nó dậy.”
3Chúa Hằng Hữu Chí Cao phán: “Thành nào ra trận một nghìn quân,
chỉ còn một trăm trở về;
Thành nào ra trận một trăm,
chỉ còn mười người sống sót.”
4Bây giờ, đây là điều Chúa Hằng Hữu phán cùng nhà Ít-ra-ên: “Hãy tìm kiếm Ta, thì các ngươi sẽ sống!
5 Đừng thờ lạy các bàn thờ tà thần tại Bê-tên;
đừng đi đến các miếu thờ tại Ghinh-ganh hay Bê-e-sê-ba.
Vì người Ghinh-ganh sẽ bị kéo đi lưu đày,
và người Bê-tên sẽ bị tàn phá.”
6 Hãy tìm kiếm Chúa Hằng Hữu thì các ngươi sẽ sống!
Nếu không, Ngài sẽ quét sạch nhà Giô-sép như ngọn lửa,
thiêu hủy các ngươi hoàn toàn.
Những thần của các ngươi tại Bê-tên
không thể nào dập tắt được ngọn lửa.
7 Các ngươi đã vặn vẹo công lý, biến nó thành nỗi đắng cay.
Các ngươi coi công chính như bụi đất.
8 Đó chính là Chúa Hằng Hữu, Đấng dựng nên các chòm sao,
chòm Bắc Đẩu ▼

và chòm Thần Nông, ▼▼ Nt Orion
Đổi bóng tối dày đặc ra bình minh
và biến ban ngày thành đêm thẳm,
Ngài rút nước lên từ biển cả
và đổ xuống như mưa trên khắp đất.
Danh Ta là Chúa Hằng Hữu!
9 Trong nháy mắt Ngài tiêu diệt các đội quân hùng mạnh,
và nghiền nát các thành trì kiên cố.
10 Các ngươi ghét các phán quan liêm khiết biết bao!
Các ngươi xem thường những người nói lên sự thật là thể nào!
11 Vì các ngươi chà đạp người nghèo,
ăn cắp thóc lúa bằng cách bắt họ nộp thuế. ▼

Cho nên, dù các ngươi xây dinh thự bằng đá đẽo xinh đẹp,
các ngươi cũng không bao giờ được ở.
Dù các ngươi lập vườn nho xanh tốt,
các ngươi cũng không được uống rượu nho mình.
12 Vì Ta biết tội lỗi các ngươi quá nhiều,
và tội phản nghịch của các ngươi quá lớn.
Các ngươi áp bức người công chính vì của hối lộ,
và cướp đoạt công lý của người nghèo nơi tòa án.
13 Vậy nên, dưới thời kỳ bất công như thế,
người khôn ngoan phải nín lặng
14 Hãy tìm cầu điều thiện và chạy khỏi điều ác
để các ngươi được sống!
Rồi Chúa Hằng Hữu, Đức Chúa Trời Vạn Quân sẽ ở cùng các ngươi,
như các ngươi vẫn nói.
15 Hãy ghét điều ác và yêu chuộng điều thiện:
hãy lập lại công lý nơi tòa án.
Có lẽ Chúa Hằng Hữu, Đức Chúa Trời Vạn Quân
sẽ tỏ lòng thương xót những người còn sót của nhà Giô-sép.
16Vì thế, đây là điều mà Chúa, Chúa Hằng Hữu, Đức Chúa Trời Vạn Quân, phán: “Khắp các quảng trường sẽ vang tiếng than khóc,
và trên mỗi đường phố sẽ nghe tiếng thở than.
Hãy gọi các nông dân đến khóc với các ngươi,
và mời những người khóc mướn đến than vãn.
17 Trong mọi vườn nho sẽ vang tiếng ai ca,
vì Ta sẽ đến trừng phạt các ngươi,”
Chúa Hằng Hữu phán vậy.

18 Khốn cho các ngươi là những kẻ nói:
“Mong ngày của Chúa Hằng Hữu là đây!”
Các ngươi không biết các ngươi đang trông gì?
Ngày của Chúa là ngày tối tăm, không có ánh sáng.
19 Trong ngày ấy, các ngươi sẽ như một người chạy trốn sư tử nhưng lại gặp gấu.
Thoát nạn khỏi gấu, rồi chạy vào nhà dựa tay trên vách nhà
thì lại bị rắn cắn.
20 Phải, ngày của Chúa Hằng Hữu là ngày đen tối và tuyệt vọng,
không có một tia vui mừng hay hy vọng.
21 Ta ghét sự phô trương và sự giả dối của các ngươi—
là những kỳ lễ và các hội đồng trọng thể đầy đạo đức giả.
22 Ta sẽ không nhận các lễ thiêu và lễ chay của các ngươi.
Ta cũng chẳng quan tâm đến tế lễ bình an bằng sinh vật béo tốt.
23 Hãy đem tiếng hát ồn ào của các ngươi ra khỏi Ta!
Ta sẽ không nghe tiếng đàn hạc của các ngươi đâu.
24 Nhưng Ta muốn thấy sự công bình tuôn tràn như nước lũ,
và sự công chính tuôn chảy như dòng sông cuồn cuộn.
25“Chẳng phải các ngươi đã từng dâng sinh tế cho Ta suốt bốn mươi năm trong hoang mạc sao, hỡi Ít-ra-ên? 26Nhưng các ngươi vẫn tôn thờ các tà thần—Si-kút, thần của vua các ngươi và Ki-giun, thần của các vì sao—là các hình tượng mà các ngươi tự tạo cho mình. 27Vì thế, Ta sẽ lưu đày các ngươi đến tận nơi xa, bên kia Đa-mách,” Chúa Hằng Hữu, Danh Ngài là Đức Chúa Trời Vạn Quân, phán vậy.

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
