Phao-lô Đi Ma-xê-đoan và Hy Lạp
1Khi cuộc náo loạn đã lắng dịu, Phao-lô triệu tập các tín hữu và khích lệ họ. Rồi ông ngỏ lời từ biệt, lên đường đi Ma-xê-đoan. 2Ông đi khắp xứ Ma-xê-đoan khích lệ anh em tín hữu rồi đến Hy Lạp. 3Ở Hy Lạp được ba tháng, Phao-lô sửa soạn đáp tàu về Sy-ri, nhưng được tin người Do Thái định mưu sát ông, nên ông quyết định đi đường bộ, quay lại Ma-xê-đoan. 4Cùng đi chuyến này có Sô-ba-tê, con By-ru, người Bê-rê, A-ri-tạc và Sê-cun-đúc, người Tê-sa-lô-ni-ca, Gai-út người Đẹt-bơ, Ti-mô-thê, Ty-chi-cơ, và Trô-phim người Tiểu Á. 5Những người đó đi trước, đợi chúng tôi tại Trô-ách. 6Sau lễ Vượt Qua, chúng tôi xuống tàu tại Phi-líp, xứ Ma-xê-đoan và năm ngày sau đến Trô-ách, chúng tôi ở lại đây bảy ngày.Phao-lô Viếng Thăm Trô-ách Lần Cuối
7Vào ngày thứ nhất trong tuần, các tín hữu họp nhau dự Tiệc Thánh và nghe Phao-lô giảng dạy. Ông giảng cho anh chị em đến nửa đêm, vì ngày hôm sau ông phải lên đường. 8Phòng họp ở trên lầu cao, có thắp nhiều đèn. 9Khi Phao-lô đang giảng dạy, có một thanh niên tên Ơ-tích ngồi ngủ gục trên cửa sổ. Anh ngủ say quá, bất chợt ngã nhào từ tầng lầu thứ ba xuống đất. Người ta đỡ dậy, thấy anh đã chết. 10Phao-lô xuống lầu, ôm xác anh và nói mọi người: “Đừng hốt hoảng, Ơ-tích vẫn còn sống!” 11Rồi ông lên lầu, dự Tiệc Thánh với anh chị em, và tiếp tục giảng dạy cho đến rạng sáng mới lên đường. 12Quả nhiên Ơ-tích sống lại và được đưa về nhà. 13Phao-lô muốn đi đường bộ qua A-sốt, nên xếp đặt cho chúng tôi đi tàu qua đó trước, rồi chờ đón ông. 14Gặp nhau tại A-sốt, chúng tôi rước ông xuống tàu đi Mi-ty-len. 15Hôm sau tàu chạy ngang đảo Chi-ô, ngày kế qua Sa-mô, đi một ngày nữa đến Mi-lê. 16Phao-lô quyết định không ghé Ê-phê-sô để khỏi mất nhiều thì giờ tại Tiểu Á, vì ông gấp về Giê-ru-sa-lem cho kịp lễ Ngũ Tuần. 17Nhưng khi chúng tôi đến Mi-lê, Phao-lô nhắn tin sang Ê-phê-sô mời các trưởng lão của Hội Thánh đến gặp ông. 18Khi họ đến, ông nói: “Thưa anh em, từ ngày tôi đặt chân lên Tiểu Á đến nay, anh em biết tôi đã sống với anh em như thế nào. 19Tôi phục vụ Chúa cách khiêm nhường đổ nhiều nước mắt, chịu bao thử thách gian khổ do người Do Thái âm mưu hãm hại. 20Tôi chẳng bao giờ từ chối truyền dạy anh em những điều hữu ích. Tôi đã huấn luyện anh em nơi công cộng cũng như tại các tư gia. 21Tôi kêu gọi cả người Do Thái lẫn người Hy Lạp ăn năn quay về Đức Chúa Trời và tin cậy Chúa chúng ta là Chúa Giê-xu. 22Giờ đây, do Chúa Thánh Linh thúc đẩy, tôi về Giê-ru-sa-lem. Tôi không biết việc gì sẽ xảy đến, 23ngoại trừ Chúa Thánh Linh đã báo trước sự lao tù và hoạn nạn đón chờ tôi từ thành này qua thành khác. 24Nhưng tôi chẳng ngã lòng, cũng không tiếc mạng sống mình, chỉ mong dâng trọn cuộc đời cho Chúa và chu toàn nhiệm vụ Chúa Giê-xu ủy thác, là công bố Phúc Âm về ân sủng của Đức Chúa Trời. 25Bây giờ tôi biết chắc anh em—những người đã nghe tôi truyền giảng Nước Trời—không ai còn thấy mặt tôi nữa. 26Hôm nay tôi tuyên bố rằng tôi đã làm hết bổn phận, nên nếu trong anh em có ai bị hư vong, tôi không còn chịu trách nhiệm nữa. 27Tôi không hề thoát thác nhiệm vụ công bố mệnh lệnh của Chúa cho anh em. 28Anh em phải giữ mình và giữ dân của Đức Chúa Trời. Chăn bầy chiên của Đức Chúa Trời—là Hội Thánh mà Chúa đã mua bằng máu Ngài—chính Chúa Thánh Linh đã lập anh em làm người chăm sóc. 29Vì tôi biết sau khi tôi đi, sẽ có phần tử giả mạo trà trộn phá hoại anh em như lang sói độc ác chẳng tiếc gì bầy chiên. 30Ngay trong anh em cũng sẽ có người xuyên tạc chân lý để lôi cuốn tín hữu. 31Vậy anh em phải đề cao cảnh giác, đừng quên tôi đã đổ nhiều nước mắt khuyên bảo mọi người, ngày cũng như đêm, ròng rã suốt ba năm. 32Bây giờ, tôi giao thác anh em cho Đức Chúa Trời và Đạo ân sủng của Ngài, vì Chúa có quyền gây dựng và ban cơ nghiệp cho anh em chung với tất cả con cái thánh thiện của Ngài. 33Tôi không tham muốn bạc, vàng hay áo xống của ai. 34Chính anh em biết hai bàn tay này đã cung cấp tất cả nhu cầu cho tôi và những người cộng sự với tôi. 35Tôi đã chứng tỏ cho anh em biết phải làm lụng khó nhọc để giúp đỡ người nghèo khổ, và phải ghi nhớ lời Chúa Giê-xu: ‘Người cho có phước hơn người nhận.’” 36Nói xong, Phao-lô quỳ xuống cầu nguyện với họ. 37Mọi người đều khóc lóc, ôm Phao-lô hôn từ biệt. 38Họ buồn bã nhất là khi nghe ông nói họ sẽ chẳng bao giờ gặp mặt ông nữa. Rồi họ tiễn ông xuống tàu.

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
