หมายสำคัญแห่งวาระสิ้นยุค
(มธ.24:1-51; ลก.21:5-36)
1ขณะพระเยซูเสด็จออกจากพระวิหาร สาวกคนหนึ่งทูลพระองค์ว่า “ดูสิ พระอาจารย์! หินก้อนมหึมาทั้งนั้น! ช่างเป็นอาคารที่งามตระการตายิ่งนัก!”2พระเยซูตรัสตอบว่า “พวกท่านเห็นอาคารใหญ่โตมโหฬารเหล่านี้ใช่ไหม? ศิลาที่นี่จะไม่เหลือซ้อนทับกันสักก้อนเดียว ทุกก้อนจะถูกโยนทิ้งลงมาหมด”
3ขณะพระเยซูประทับอยู่บนภูเขามะกอกเทศตรงข้ามกับพระวิหาร เปโตร ยากอบ ยอห์น และอันดรูว์มาทูลถามพระองค์เป็นการส่วนตัวว่า 4“ขอทรงบอกพวกข้าพระองค์เถิด สิ่งเหล่านี้จะเกิดขึ้นเมื่อใด? และอะไรเป็นหมายสำคัญว่าสิ่งทั้งปวงนั้นกำลังจะสำเร็จ?”
5พระเยซูตรัสกับพวกเขาว่า “จงระวัง อย่าให้ใครมาล่อลวงท่าน 6หลายคนจะมาในนามของเราและอ้างตัวว่า ‘เราคือผู้นั้น’ แล้วล่อลวงคนเป็นอันมาก 7เมื่อท่านได้ยินข่าวสงครามและข่าวลือเรื่องสงคราม อย่าตื่นตกใจ เพราะสิ่งเหล่านั้นต้องเกิดขึ้นแต่ยังไม่ถึงจุดจบ 8ประชาชาติต่อประชาชาติและอาณาจักรต่ออาณาจักรจะสู้รบกัน จะเกิดแผ่นดินไหวและการกันดารอาหารในที่ต่างๆ เหตุการณ์เหล่านี้คือขั้นเริ่มต้นของความเจ็บปวดก่อนคลอดบุตร
9“ท่านต้องเฝ้าระวัง ท่านจะถูกคุมตัวไปยังที่ว่าการในท้องที่และถูกโบยตีในธรรมศาลา ท่านต้องไปยืนอยู่ต่อหน้าผู้ว่าการและกษัตริย์แล้วเป็นพยานแก่พวกเขาเพื่อเรา 10ข่าวประเสริฐต้องประกาศแก่มวลประชาชาติก่อน 11เมื่อใดก็ตามที่ท่านถูกจับกุมและส่งตัวขึ้นศาล อย่าวิตกกังวลไปก่อนว่าจะพูดอะไรดี จงพูดไปตามถ้อยคำที่ประทานแก่ท่านในเวลานั้นเพราะไม่ใช่ตัวท่านเองที่เป็นผู้พูดแต่เป็นพระวิญญาณบริสุทธิ์
12“พี่น้องจะทรยศกันเองถึงตายและพ่อจะทรยศลูก ลูกจะกบฏต่อพ่อแม่และเป็นเหตุให้พวกเขาถึงตาย 13คนทั้งปวงจะเกลียดชังท่านเพราะเรา แต่ผู้ที่ยืนหยัดจนถึงที่สุดจะรอด
14“เมื่อใดที่ท่านเห็น ‘สิ่งที่น่าสะอิดสะเอียนอันเป็นต้นเหตุของวิบัติ’ ▼

(ให้ผู้อ่านทำความเข้าใจเอาเถิด) เมื่อนั้นให้ผู้ที่อยู่ในยูเดียหนีไปที่ภูเขา 15ผู้ที่อยู่บนดาดฟ้าหลังคาบ้านอย่าลงมาหรือเข้าบ้านมาหยิบสิ่งใดออกไป 16ผู้ที่อยู่ตามทุ่งนาก็อย่ากลับไปเอาเสื้อคลุมของท่าน 17วันเหล่านั้นน่าหวาดกลัวยิ่งนักสำหรับหญิงมีครรภ์หรือแม่ลูกอ่อน 18จงอธิษฐานให้เหตุการณ์นี้ไม่เกิดในฤดูหนาว 19เพราะเวลานั้นจะเป็นวาระแห่งความทุกข์ลำเค็ญอย่างที่ไม่มีครั้งใดเทียบเท่าตั้งแต่เริ่มแรกเมื่อพระเจ้าทรงสร้างโลกจนถึงบัดนี้ และจะไม่มีครั้งใดเทียบเท่าอีก 20หากองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าไม่ทรงร่นวันเหล่านั้นให้สั้นเข้าก็จะไม่มีใครเหลือรอดเลย แต่เพราะเห็นแก่ผู้ที่ทรงเลือกสรรไว้พระองค์จึงทรงทำให้วันเหล่านั้นสั้นลง 21เมื่อเวลานั้นมาถึงหากมีใครมาบอกท่านว่า ‘ดูเถิด พระคริสต์ ▼▼หรือพระเมสสิยาห์
อยู่ที่นี่!’ หรือ ‘ดูเถิด พระองค์อยู่ที่นั่น!’ อย่าไปเชื่อเลย 22เพราะจะมีพระคริสต์ปลอมและผู้เผยพระวจนะเท็จปรากฏขึ้น พวกเขาจะแสดงหมายสำคัญและการอัศจรรย์ต่างๆ เพื่อลวงผู้ที่ทรงเลือกสรรไว้หากเป็นไปได้ 23ฉะนั้นจงระวัง เราบอกทุกอย่างแก่ท่านไว้ล่วงหน้าแล้ว 24“แต่ในวาระนั้นหลังจากความทุกข์เข็ญ

26“เมื่อนั้นคนทั้งหลายจะเห็นบุตรมนุษย์เสด็จมาในหมู่เมฆด้วยเดชานุภาพและพระเกียรติสิริอันยิ่งใหญ่ 27พระองค์จะทรงส่งทูตสวรรค์ของพระองค์มารวบรวมผู้ที่ทรงเลือกสรรไว้จากทั้งสี่ทิศ จากปลายแผ่นดินโลกถึงสุดขอบฟ้าสวรรค์
28“จงเรียนรู้บทเรียนนี้จากต้นมะเดื่อ คือทันทีที่มันแตกกิ่งและผลิใบท่านก็รู้ว่าฤดูร้อนใกล้เข้ามาแล้ว 29เช่นเดียวกันเมื่อท่านเห็นสิ่งเหล่านี้เกิดขึ้น ท่านก็รู้ว่าสิ่งนี้ ▼

32“ไม่มีใครรู้วันเวลาที่เหตุการณ์นั้นจะเกิดขึ้น แม้แต่ทูตสวรรค์หรือพระบุตรก็ไม่รู้ พระบิดาเท่านั้นที่ทรงทราบ 33จงระวัง! จงตื่นตัว! ▼▼สำเนาต้นฉบับ บางสำเนาว่าตื่นตัวและอธิษฐาน
ท่านไม่รู้ว่าเวลานั้นจะมาถึงเมื่อใด 34ก็เหมือนชายคนหนึ่งออกจากบ้านไป เขาตั้งคนรับใช้ให้รับผิดชอบหน้าที่ต่างๆ ตามที่แต่ละคนได้รับมอบหมายและบอกคนเฝ้าประตูให้เฝ้าระวังไว้ 35“ฉะนั้นจงเฝ้าระวังอยู่เพราะท่านไม่รู้ว่าเจ้าของบ้านจะกลับมาเมื่อใด อาจจะกลับมาเวลาค่ำหรือเวลาเที่ยงคืน เวลาไก่ขัน หรือเวลารุ่งสาง 36ถ้าเขากลับมากระทันหันก็อย่าให้เขาพบว่าท่านกำลังหลับอยู่ 37สิ่งที่เราบอกกับท่านเราก็บอกกับทุกๆ คนว่า ‘จงเฝ้าระวัง!’”

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
