Jeremiah 3
1“หากชายใดหย่าขาดจากภรรยาและนางไปแต่งงานกับชายอีกคน
เขาควรจะกลับไปหานางอีกหรือ?
จะไม่ทำให้แผ่นดินแปดเปื้อนมลทินไปหมดหรอกหรือ?
แต่เจ้าก็ใช้ชีวิตเยี่ยงโสเภณีที่มีชู้รักหลายคน
บัดนี้เจ้าจะกลับมาหาเราหรือ?”
องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าประกาศดังนั้น
2“จงแหงนหน้ามองบนที่สูงอันเริศร้างทั้งหลาย
ดูเถิด มีที่ไหนบ้างที่เจ้าไม่ได้ไปทำตัวแปดเปื้อนด้วยการล่วงประเวณี?
เจ้านั่งคอยบรรดาชู้รักอยู่ริมทาง
นั่งคอยเหมือนชนเผ่าเร่ร่อน ▼
▼หรือคนอาหรับ
ในทะเลทรายเจ้าทำให้แผ่นดินเป็นมลทิน
เนื่องด้วยความสำส่อนและความชั่วร้ายของเจ้า
3ฉะนั้นฝนจึงถูกระงับเสีย
และฝนฤดูใบไม้ผลิก็ไม่ตกลงมา
ถึงกระนั้นเจ้าก็ยังหน้าด้านเหมือนหญิงโสเภณี
เจ้าไม่มียางอายเอาเสียเลย
4เจ้าเพิ่งร้องทูลเราไม่ใช่หรือว่า
‘พระบิดาของข้าพระองค์ ผู้ทรงเป็นมิตรสหายมาตั้งแต่ข้าพระองค์ยังแรกรุ่น
5พระองค์จะกริ้วอยู่เนืองนิตย์หรือ?
พระพิโรธของพระองค์จะคงอยู่ตลอดไปหรือ?’
เจ้าพูดเช่นนี้แหละ
แต่เจ้าก็ยังคงทำชั่วทุกอย่างอยู่ร่ำไป”

6ในรัชสมัยของกษัตริย์โยสิยาห์ องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าได้ตรัสกับข้าพเจ้าว่า “เจ้าเห็นสิ่งที่อิสราเอลผู้นอกใจทำหรือไม่? อิสราเอลคบชู้ด้วยการเที่ยวไปนมัสการพระต่างๆ บนภูเขาสูงทุกลูกและใต้ต้นไม้ใบดกทุกต้น 7เราคิดว่าหลังจากที่อิสราเอลได้ทำทุกสิ่งเหล่านี้แล้ว นางจะกลับมาหาเรา แต่ก็เปล่า และยูดาห์น้องสาวผู้ไร้สัตย์ของนางก็เห็น 8เราจึงทำหนังสือหย่าขาดจากอิสราเอลผู้นอกใจและไล่นางไปเพราะการคบชู้ทั้งหมดของนาง แต่ถึงอย่างนั้นเราก็ได้เห็นว่ายูดาห์น้องสาวผู้ไร้สัตย์ของนางไม่ขยาดกลัวเลย ยูดาห์เองก็ออกไปคบชู้ด้วย 9เพราะนางเห็นว่าความเสื่อมศีลธรรมของอิสราเอลเป็นเรื่องเล็กน้อย นางจึงทำให้แผ่นดินเป็นมลทิน และคบชู้โดยไปนมัสการรูปเคารพซึ่งทำจากไม้และหิน 10ถึงขนาดนี้แล้ว ยูดาห์น้องสาวผู้ไร้สัตย์ของนางก็ยังไม่หวนกลับมาหาเราอย่างสุดใจ มีแต่เสแสร้งแกล้งทำ” องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าประกาศดังนั้น11 องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าตรัสกับข้าพเจ้าว่า “อิสราเอลผู้ไม่ซื่อก็ยังชอบธรรมกว่ายูดาห์ผู้ไร้สัตย์ 12บัดนี้จงไปประกาศแก่พวกทางเหนือว่า
“องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าประกาศว่า ‘อิสราเอลผู้ไม่ซื่อเอ๋ย กลับมาเถิด
เราจะไม่หน้าบึ้งใส่เจ้าอีกต่อไป
เพราะเราเปี่ยมด้วยเมตตา’ องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าประกาศดังนี้
‘เราจะไม่โกรธขึ้งตลอดไป
13เพียงแต่เจ้ายอมรับผิด
ว่าเจ้าได้กบฏต่อพระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของเจ้า
เจ้าได้ปันใจให้พระต่างชาติทั้งหลาย
ใต้ต้นไม้ใบดกทุกต้น
และไม่ได้เชื่อฟังเรา’ ”
องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าประกาศดังนั้น
14“หันกลับมาเถิด ประชากรที่ไม่ซื่อสัตย์” องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าประกาศดังนี้ “เพราะเราเป็นสามีของเจ้า เราจะเลือกสรรเจ้าคนหนึ่งจากเมืองหนึ่งและสองคนจากตระกูลหนึ่ง และจะนำเจ้ากลับมายังศิโยน 15แล้วเราจะให้บรรดาผู้เลี้ยงซึ่งถูกใจเราแก่เจ้า ผู้ที่จะนำเจ้าด้วยความรู้และความเข้าใจ 16เมื่อถึงเวลานั้น เมื่อเจ้ามีลูกเต็มบ้านมีหลานเต็มเมืองในแผ่นดินนั้น” องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าประกาศดังนี้ “ผู้คนจะไม่พูดถึง ‘หีบพันธสัญญาขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า’ อีก จะไม่คิดถึง ไม่จดจำ ไม่ถวิลหา และไม่สร้างหีบพันธสัญญาขึ้นมาใหม่ 17แต่ในเวลานั้น พวกเขาจะเรียกเยรูซาเล็มว่า ‘พระบัลลังก์ขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า’ ประชาชาติทั้งปวงจะมาชุมนุมกันที่กรุงเยรูซาเล็มเพื่อถวายพระเกียรติแด่พระนามของพระยาห์เวห์ พวกเขาจะไม่ดื้อดึงทำตามใจชั่วของตนอีกต่อไป 18เมื่อถึงเวลานั้นพงศ์พันธุ์ยูดาห์จะสมทบกับพงศ์พันธุ์อิสราเอล พวกเขาจะรวมกันมาจากดินแดนทางเหนือ มายังดินแดนซึ่งเราได้ยกให้เป็นกรรมสิทธิ์แก่บรรพบุรุษของเจ้าทั้งหลาย
19“เราเองลั่นวาจาไว้ว่า
“ ‘เรายินดีเหลือเกินที่จะปฏิบัติต่อเจ้าเยี่ยงลูก
และมอบดินแดนอันน่าปรารถนาแก่เจ้า
เป็นสมบัติอันงดงามที่สุดของชาติต่างๆ’
เราคิดว่าเจ้าจะเรียกเราว่า ‘พ่อ’
และจะติดตามเราโดยไม่หันหนีไปไหนอีกเลย
20แต่พงศ์พันธุ์อิสราเอลเอ๋ย เจ้าก็ไม่ซื่อสัตย์ต่อเรา
เหมือนภรรยาที่ไม่ซื่อสัตย์ต่อสามี”
องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าประกาศดังนั้น
21มีเสียงหนึ่งร่ำไห้ดังจากยอดเขาอันเปล่าเปลี่ยว
เป็นเสียงร่ำไห้อ้อนวอนของชนอิสราเอล
เพราะพวกเขาได้บิดเบือนวิถีทางของตน
และได้ลืมพระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของพวกเขา
22“กลับมาเถิด ประชากรผู้ไม่ซื่อสัตย์
เราจะรักษาเจ้าจากการหลงผิด”

อยู่ในพระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลาย
24ตั้งแต่ข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลายยังเยาว์วัย เทพเจ้าอันน่าอับอายเหล่านั้นได้ล้างผลาญ
ผลแห่งหยาดเหงื่อแรงงานของบรรพบุรุษของข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลาย
ทั้งฝูงแพะแกะและฝูงสัตว์
ลูกชายและลูกสาว
25ให้ข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลายนอนลงด้วยความอับอาย
และเอาความอัปยศอดสูคลุมกาย
ทั้งข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลายและบรรพบุรุษ
ได้ทำบาปต่อพระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลาย
ตั้งแต่ข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลายยังเยาว์วัยตราบจนบัดนี้
ข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลายไม่ได้เชื่อฟังพระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลาย”

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
