อิสราเอลละทิ้งพระเจ้า
1พระดำรัสขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้ามาถึงข้าพเจ้าว่า 2“จงไปประกาศให้ชาวเยรูซาเล็มได้ยินดังนี้“ ‘เรายังจำความจงรักภักดีในวัยแรกรุ่นของเจ้าได้
เจ้ารักเราเหมือนเจ้าเป็นเจ้าสาวของเรา
และติดตามเราผ่านถิ่นกันดาร
ผ่านดินแดนซึ่งหว่านพืชไม่ได้
3อิสราเอลเคยบริสุทธิ์สำหรับองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า
เคยเป็นผลแรกที่ทรงเก็บเกี่ยว
ผู้ใดกัดกินอิสราเอลผู้นั้นก็มีความผิด
และต้องพบกับหายนะ’ ”
องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าประกาศดังนั้น
4พงศ์พันธุ์ยาโคบเอ๋ย ทุกตระกูลของพงศ์พันธุ์อิสราเอลเอ๋ย
จงฟังพระดำรัสขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า
5 องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าตรัสว่า
“บรรพบุรุษของเจ้าเห็นเรามีข้อเสียตรงไหนหรือ
จึงได้หลงเตลิดไปไกลจากเราเช่นนี้?
พวกเขาได้ไปติดตามรูปเคารพอันไร้ค่า
และทำให้ตัวเองไร้ค่าไป
6พวกเขาไม่ได้ถามว่า ‘องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าทรงอยู่ที่ไหน?
ผู้ทรงนำเราออกมาจากอียิปต์
นำเราผ่านถิ่นกันดารแห้งแล้ง
ผ่านดินแดนแห่งทะเลทรายและโตรกเขา
เป็นดินแดนที่แห้งแล้งและมืดมน ▼
▼หรือและเงาแห่งความตาย
ดินแดนซึ่งไม่มีใครอยู่อาศัยหรือผ่านไปมา’
7เรานำพวกเจ้ามายังแผ่นดินอันอุดมสมบูรณ์
ให้กินผลิตผลชั้นดีมากมาย
แต่เจ้ากลับทำให้แผ่นดินของเราเป็นมลทิน
และทำให้มรดกที่เรายกให้กลายเป็นสิ่งที่น่าชิงชัง
8ปุโรหิตทั้งหลายไม่ถามว่า
‘องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าทรงอยู่ที่ไหน?’
ผู้ที่รักษากฎหมายไม่รู้จักเรา
บรรดาผู้นำกบฏต่อเรา
เหล่าผู้เผยพระวจนะได้พยากรณ์ในนามของพระบาอัล
ติดตามรูปเคารพอันไร้ค่า
9“ฉะนั้นเราจึงกล่าวโทษเจ้าอีกครั้ง”
องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าประกาศดังนั้น
“และเราจะกล่าวโทษลูกหลานของเจ้า
10จงข้ามทะเลไปยังชายฝั่งของคิททิม ▼
▼คือ ไซปรัสและชายฝั่งทะเลทางตะวันตก
และมองดูส่งคนไปยังเคดาร์ ▼
▼เป็นที่อยู่ของเผ่าเบดูอิน ในทะเลทรายเขตซีเรียและอาระเบีย
แล้วสังเกตให้ดีไปดูสิว่าเคยมีเรื่องอย่างนี้เกิดขึ้นบ้างไหม?
11เคยมีชาติหนึ่งชาติใดเปลี่ยนเทพเจ้าที่พวกเขานับถือหรือไม่?
(ทั้งๆ ที่เทพเจ้าเหล่านั้นก็ไม่ใช่พระเจ้า)

และได้สร้างบ่อน้ำรั่วให้ตนเอง
ซึ่งเก็บน้ำไว้ไม่อยู่
14อิสราเอลเป็นขี้ข้า เป็นทาสตั้งแต่เกิดหรือ?
ก็แล้วทำไมพวกเขาจึงกลายเป็นของให้ปล้นชิง?
15เหล่าสิงโตคำราม
ร้องขู่เขา
ทำให้ดินแดนของเขาเริศร้าง
หัวเมืองทั้งหมดของเขาถูกเผาและทิ้งร้าง

18บัดนี้ทำไมเจ้าจึงไปยังอียิปต์
เพื่อไปดื่มน้ำจากชิโหร์ ▼

19ความชั่วร้ายของเจ้าเองจะลงโทษเจ้า
ที่เจ้าถอยหลังเข้าคลองนั้นจะเป็นการกล่าวโทษเจ้าเอง
จงพิเคราะห์ดูแล้วเจ้าจะตระหนักว่า
มันเลวร้ายและขมขื่นเพียงใดสำหรับเจ้า
เมื่อเจ้าละทิ้งพระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของเจ้า
และไม่มีความยำเกรงเราเลย”
องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า พระยาห์เวห์
ผู้ทรงฤทธิ์ประกาศดังนั้น
20“นานมาแล้วเจ้าได้สลัดแอกของเจ้าทิ้ง
และหักทำลายเครื่องพันธนาการต่างๆ ของเจ้า
เจ้าพูดว่า ‘ข้าพระองค์จะไม่ปรนนิบัติพระองค์!’
แท้จริง เจ้าเอนกายลงดั่งหญิงโสเภณี
บนภูเขาสูงทุกลูก
และใต้ต้นไม้ใบดกทุกต้น
21เราปลูกเจ้าไว้เหมือนเถาองุ่นพันธุ์ดี
เป็นพันธุ์แท้ที่น่าเชื่อถือ
แล้วเจ้ากลายมาเป็นปฏิปักษ์ต่อเรา
เป็นเถาองุ่นป่าเสื่อมทรามไปได้อย่างไร?
22แม้เจ้าชำระกายด้วยน้ำด่าง
และฟอกสบู่เป็นการใหญ่
แต่คราบความผิดของเจ้าก็ยังคงอยู่ต่อหน้าเรา”
พระยาห์เวห์องค์เจ้าชีวิตประกาศดังนั้น
23“เจ้าพูดออกมาได้อย่างไรว่า ‘ข้าไม่มีมลทิน
ข้าไม่ได้วิ่งตามพระบาอัล’?
ก็ดูสิว่าเจ้าได้ประพฤติตัวอย่างไร
จงพิจารณาดูสิ่งที่เจ้าทำในหุบเขานั้น
เจ้าเป็นอูฐตัวเมียที่อยู่ไม่สุข
วิ่งพล่านไปนั่นไปนี่
24เป็นลาป่าที่คุ้นเคยกับถิ่นทะเลทราย
ทำจมูกฟุดฟิดสูดลมหายใจในฤดูผสมพันธุ์
ใครจะยับยั้งความกระสันของมันได้?
ตัวผู้ตัวไหนต้องการเจ้า ก็ไม่ต้องลำบากลำบนเลย
ถึงเวลาผสมพันธุ์พวกมันก็จะพบเจ้า
25อย่าวิ่งจนเท้าเปล่า
และจนคอแห้งเลย
แต่เจ้าพูดว่า ‘ไม่มีประโยชน์!
ข้ารักพระต่างชาติทั้งหลาย
และจะต้องติดตามไป’
26“พงศ์พันธุ์อิสราเอลอับอายขายหน้า
เหมือนขโมยอับอายขายหน้าเมื่อถูกจับได้
ทั้งพวกเขาเอง บรรดากษัตริย์ ข้าราชการ
ปุโรหิตและผู้เผยพระวจนะของพวกเขา
27พวกเขากล่าวกับท่อนไม้ว่า ‘ท่านเป็นบิดาของข้า’
และกล่าวกับก้อนหินว่า ‘ท่านให้กำเนิดข้า’
พวกเขาหันหลังให้เรา
และไม่ได้หันหน้ามาหาเรา
แต่เมื่อถึงเวลาเดือดร้อน เขากลับกล่าวว่า
‘โปรดเสด็จมาช่วยข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลายด้วย!’
28ไหนล่ะบรรดาเทพเจ้าที่เจ้าสร้างขึ้นให้ตัวเอง?
ถ้าเขาช่วยเจ้าได้ ให้เขาช่วยเจ้า
ในเวลาทุกข์ร้อนสิ!
เพราะเจ้ามีเทพเจ้ามากมาย
พอๆ กับจำนวนหัวเมืองที่เจ้ามี ยูดาห์เอ๋ย
29“เหตุใดเจ้าจึงกล่าวโทษเรา?
พวกเจ้าทุกคนล้วนกบฏต่อเรา”
องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าประกาศดังนั้น
30“ป่วยการที่เราจะลงโทษพลเมืองของเจ้า
เขาไม่ดีขึ้นเลย
คมดาบของเจ้าได้ขย้ำผู้เผยพระวจนะของเจ้า
เหมือนสิงโตขย้ำเหยื่อของมัน
31“คนรุ่นนี้เอ๋ย จงใคร่ครวญพระดำรัสขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าเถิด
“เราเป็นถิ่นกันดารหรือ?
เป็นดินแดนมืดมนสำหรับอิสราเอลหรือ?
แล้วทำไมประชากรของเราจึงพูดว่า ‘เมื่อเราไปไหนมาไหนได้อย่างอิสระ
เราจะไม่มาหาพระองค์อีกต่อไป’?
32หญิงสาวจะลืมเพชรนิลจินดาของเธอหรือ?
เจ้าสาวจะลืมเครื่องประดับในวันสมรสหรือ?
ถึงกระนั้นประชากรของเราได้ลืมเรามานาน
นานจนนับวันไม่ไหว

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
