นาอามานหายจากโรคเรื้อน
1ฝ่ายนาอามานเป็นแม่ทัพของกษัตริย์อารัม เขาเป็นคนสำคัญของเจ้านายและเป็นที่ยกย่องนับถือ เพราะองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าประทานชัยชนะแก่ประเทศอารัมผ่านทางเขา เขาเป็นนักรบเก่งกล้า แต่เป็นโรคเรื้อน ▼▼คำภาษาฮีบรูอาจหมายถึง โรคผิวหนังต่างๆ ไม่จำเป็นต้องหมายถึงโรคเรื้อนเท่านั้น เช่นเดียวกับข้อ 3,6,7,11 และ 27
2กองทหารอารัมได้ไปรุกรานอิสราเอล และในบรรดาเชลย มีเด็กผู้หญิงคนหนึ่งซึ่งถูกยกให้เป็นสาวใช้ของภรรยานาอามาน 3เด็กหญิงผู้นี้พูดกับนายหญิงว่า “หนูอยากให้นายท่านไปพบผู้เผยพระวจนะในสะมาเรีย! เขาผู้นั้นจะได้รักษานายท่านให้หายจากโรคเรื้อน”
4นาอามานจึงกราบทูลเจ้านายตามที่เด็กผู้หญิงจากอิสราเอลคนนั้นบอก 5กษัตริย์อารัมตรัสว่า “อย่างนี้ต้องไปให้ได้ เราจะฝากสาส์นไปถึงกษัตริย์อิสราเอล” นาอามานจึงออกเดินทาง นำเงินหนักประมาณ 340 กิโลกรัม ▼

และเสื้อผ้าสิบชุดมาด้วย 6สาส์นถึงกษัตริย์อิสราเอลนั้นมีใจความว่า “พร้อมกับสาส์นนี้ เราขอส่งนาอามานผู้รับใช้ของเรามาให้ท่านรักษาโรคเรื้อน” 7เมื่อกษัตริย์อิสราเอลได้อ่านสาส์นนั้นก็ฉีกฉลองพระองค์และตรัสว่า “เราเป็นพระเจ้าหรือ? ที่จะสามารถทำลายหรือให้ชีวิตได้? ทำไมเขาส่งคนโรคเรื้อนมาให้เรารักษา ดูสิ เขาพยายามหาเหตุมารุกรานเรานั่นเอง!”
8เมื่อเอลีชาคนของพระเจ้าได้ยินว่ากษัตริย์อิสราเอลทรงฉีกฉลองพระองค์ ก็ส่งข่าวมาทูลพระองค์ว่า “ทำไมฝ่าพระบาทจึงทรงฉีกฉลองพระองค์? ขอส่งชายคนนั้นมาพบข้าพระบาท แล้วเขาจะได้รู้ว่ามีผู้เผยพระวจนะคนหนึ่งในอิสราเอล” 9นาอามานจึงนั่งรถม้าศึกมาหยุดอยู่หน้าประตูบ้านของเอลีชา 10เอลีชาส่งคนออกมาบอกนาอามานว่า “จงไปชำระตัวของท่านในแม่น้ำจอร์แดนเจ็ดครั้ง แล้วเนื้อของท่านจะกลับเป็นปกติและท่านจะหาย”
11แต่นาอามานโกรธจัดและกล่าวว่า “เราคิดว่าเขาจะออกมาพบเรา มายืนร้องทูลพระนามพระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของเขา โบกไม้โบกมือเหนือแผลและรักษาเราให้หายจากโรคเรื้อน 12แม่น้ำอาบานาและแม่น้ำฟารปาร์ที่ดามัสกัสไม่ดีกว่าแม่น้ำของอิสราเอลหรือ? เราไปอาบในแม่น้ำเหล่านั้นให้หายจากโรคไม่ได้หรือ?” ว่าแล้วนาอามานก็ผลุนผลันออกไปด้วยความโกรธ
13แต่บ่าวของนาอามานไปพูดกับนายว่า “ท่านบิดา ถ้าผู้เผยพระวจนะบอกให้ท่านทำอะไรยากๆ ท่านจะไม่ทำหรอกหรือ? ยิ่งกว่านั้นเท่าใดท่านน่าจะทำตามเมื่อเขาบอกว่า ‘จงไปชำระตัวแล้วก็จะหาย’!” 14ฉะนั้นนาอามานจึงลงไปที่แม่น้ำจอร์แดน แล้วจุ่มตัวเจ็ดครั้งตามที่คนของพระเจ้าสั่งไว้ แล้วเนื้อตัวของเขาก็กลับเป็นเหมือนเด็กหนุ่ม และหายจากโรคเรื้อน
15นาอามานและผู้ติดตามทั้งหมดจึงกลับมาพบคนของพระเจ้า เขายืนอยู่ต่อหน้าเอลีชาและกล่าวว่า “ข้าพเจ้าทราบแล้วว่าไม่มีพระเจ้าอื่นใดในโลกนอกจากในอิสราเอล บัดนี้โปรดรับของกำนัลจากผู้รับใช้ของท่านเถิด”
16แต่ผู้เผยพระวจนะตอบว่า “องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าที่เรารับใช้ทรงพระชนม์อยู่แน่ฉันใด เราจะไม่รับแม้แต่สิ่งเดียวฉันนั้น” ถึงนาอามานคะยั้นคะยอ เขาก็ยืนกรานปฏิเสธ
17นาอามานกล่าวว่า “ในเมื่อท่านไม่ยอมรับของกำนัล ก็ขอดินเท่าที่ล่อสองตัวจะบรรทุกได้ให้แก่ผู้รับใช้ของท่านเอากลับไปบ้าน เพราะต่อแต่นี้ไปผู้รับใช้ของท่านจะไม่ถวายเครื่องเผาบูชาหรือของถวายแด่เทพเจ้าอื่นใด เว้นแต่องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า 18แต่ขอองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าทรงอภัยโทษผู้รับใช้ของท่านเรื่องหนึ่งคือ เมื่อกษัตริย์ผู้เป็นเจ้านายของข้าพเจ้าเข้าไปในวิหารของเทพเจ้าริมโมนเพื่อกราบไหว้ ข้าพเจ้าจะต้องคอยพยุงพระองค์และต้องค้อมตัวลงด้วย ขอองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าทรงอภัยผู้รับใช้ของท่านที่จะต้องค้อมตัวลงคำนับในวิหารของเทพเจ้าริมโมน”
19เอลีชากล่าวว่า “ไปโดยสวัสดิภาพเถิด”
หลังจากนาอามานออกเดินทางไปได้ระยะหนึ่ง 20เกหะซีคนรับใช้ของเอลีชาคนของพระเจ้ารำพึงว่า “นายของเราใจดีเกินไป ไม่น่าปล่อยให้นาอามานคนอารัมไปโดยไม่รับของกำนัลจากเขา องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าทรงพระชนม์อยู่แน่ฉันใด เราจะวิ่งตามเขาไปและเอาบางอย่างจากเขาฉันนั้น”
21ดังนั้นเกหะซีรีบรุดตามนาอามานไป เมื่อนาอามานเห็นเขาวิ่งมาหา ก็ลงจากรถม้ามาถามว่า “มีอะไรหรือ?”
22เกหะซีตอบว่า “ทุกอย่างเรียบร้อยดี นายของข้าพเจ้าให้มาเรียนว่า ‘มีผู้เผยพระวจนะสองคนจากเทือกเขาเอฟราอิมเพิ่งมาถึง โปรดให้เงินหนักประมาณ 34 กิโลกรัม ▼

เลย” แล้วเขาก็ให้เสื้อผ้าสองชุด มัดแท่งเงินหนัก 68 กิโลกรัมเข้าด้วยกัน ใส่เป็นสองถุงมอบให้คนรับใช้สองคนแบกนำหน้าเกหะซีกลับไป 24เมื่อเกหะซีมาถึงเนินเขา ก็รับถุงจากคนรับใช้นั้นเก็บไว้ในบ้าน แล้วให้คนรับใช้นั้นกลับไป 25แล้วเกหะซีเข้ามายืนต่อหน้าเอลีชาผู้เป็นนายเอลีชาถามว่า “เจ้าไปไหนมาเกหะซี?”
เขาตอบว่า “ผู้รับใช้ของท่านไม่ได้ไปไหนเลย”
26เอลีชากล่าวว่า “เมื่อชายผู้นั้นลงจากรถของเขามาพบเจ้า จิตใจของเราอยู่กับเจ้าด้วยไม่ใช่หรือ? นี่เป็นโอกาสที่จะรับเงิน เสื้อผ้า สวนมะกอก สวนองุ่น แกะ วัวและคนรับใช้ชายหญิงหรือ? 27โรคเรื้อนของนาอามานจะติดตัวเจ้ากับลูกหลานตลอดไป” แล้วเกหะซีก็เป็นโรคเรื้อน เดินออกไปจากเอลีชา ผิวของเขาเป็นด่างขาวเหมือนหิมะ

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
