เฮเซคียาห์ทรงชำระพระวิหาร
(2พกษ.18:2-3)
1เมื่อเฮเซคียาห์ขึ้นเป็นกษัตริย์ พระองค์ทรงมีพระชนมายุ 25 พรรษา และทรงครองราชย์อยู่ในกรุงเยรูซาเล็ม 29 ปี ราชมารดาคืออาบียาห์ธิดาของเศคาริยาห์ 2พระองค์ทรงทำสิ่งที่ถูกต้องในสายพระเนตรขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าเหมือนที่ดาวิดบรรพบุรุษได้ทำ3ในเดือนแรกของปีที่หนึ่งแห่งรัชกาลเฮเซคียาห์ พระองค์ทรงเปิดประตูพระวิหารขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า และซ่อมแซมเสียใหม่ 4พระองค์ทรงเรียกปุโรหิตกับคนเลวีมาประชุมที่ลานกลางแจ้งด้านตะวันออก 5และตรัสว่า “ฟังเถิดชาวเลวีทั้งหลาย บัดนี้จงชำระตนให้บริสุทธิ์ และชำระพระวิหารของพระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของบรรพบุรุษของพวกท่าน จงขจัดมลทินทั้งปวงจากสถานนมัสการ 6บรรพบุรุษของเราไม่ซื่อสัตย์ ทำสิ่งที่ชั่วในสายพระเนตรของพระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของเราและละทิ้งพระองค์ พวกเขาหันหน้าหนีจากที่ประทับขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าและหันหลังให้พระองค์ 7พวกเขาปิดประตูมุขพระวิหาร ดับประทีป ไม่เผาเครื่องหอมหรือถวายเครื่องเผาบูชาใดๆ ในสถานนมัสการแด่พระเจ้าแห่งอิสราเอล 8ฉะนั้นพระพิโรธขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าจึงตกแก่ยูดาห์และเยรูซาเล็ม พระเจ้าทรงทำให้พวกเขาเป็นที่น่าขยะแขยง น่าสยดสยอง และน่าเหยียดหยาม ดังที่ท่านเห็นกับตา 9บรรพบุรุษของเราถูกฆ่าตายในสงคราม ลูกชายลูกสาวและภรรยาของเราถูกจับไปเป็นเชลยก็เพราะเหตุนี้ 10บัดนี้ข้าพเจ้าตั้งใจจะทำพันธสัญญากับพระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าแห่งอิสราเอล เพื่อพระพิโรธอันรุนแรงของพระองค์จะหันเหไปจากเราทั้งหลาย 11ลูกๆ เอ๋ย อย่าละเลยหน้าที่ของท่าน เพราะองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าทรงเลือกท่านให้ยืนอยู่ต่อหน้าพระองค์และรับใช้พระองค์ ปฏิบัติหน้าที่ต่อหน้าพระองค์และเผาเครื่องหอมถวาย”
12ชนเลวีจึงเข้าปฏิบัติงาน

มาฮาทบุตรอามาสัยกับโยเอลบุตรอาซาริยาห์
จากตระกูลเมรารี ได้แก่
คีชบุตรอับดีกับอาซาริยาห์บุตรเยฮาลเลเลล
จากตระกูลเกอร์โชน ได้แก่
โยอาห์บุตรศิมมาห์กับเอเดนบุตรโยอาห์
13จากวงศ์วานเอลีซาฟาน ได้แก่
ชิมรีกับเยอีเอล
จากวงศ์วานอาสาฟ ได้แก่
เศคาริยาห์กับมัททานิยาห์
14จากวงศ์วานเฮมาน ได้แก่
เยฮีเอลกับชิเมอี
จากวงศ์วานเยดูธูน ได้แก่
เชไมอาห์กับอุสซีเอล
15เมื่อคนเหล่านี้ได้เรียกพวกพี่น้องของตนมาชุมนุมและชำระตัวแล้ว พวกเขาก็เริ่มชำระพระวิหารขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าให้บริสุทธิ์ตามพระบัญชาของกษัตริย์ ซึ่งปฏิบัติตามพระดำรัสขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า 16บรรดาปุโรหิตเข้าไปชำระสถานนมัสการขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า พวกเขานำเอาสิ่งที่เป็นมลทินทั้งปวงที่พบในพระวิหารขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าออกมาที่ลานพระวิหารขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า ให้คนเลวีขนไปทิ้งที่หุบเขาขิดโรน 17พวกเขาเริ่มชำระพระวิหารเมื่อวันที่หนึ่งเดือนที่หนึ่ง และในวันที่แปดของเดือนนั้นก็ชำระออกมาถึงหน้ามุขขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า ใช้เวลาอีกแปดวันในการชำระพระวิหารขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า งานทั้งหมดจึงเสร็จสิ้นในวันที่สิบหกของเดือนที่หนึ่ง
18แล้วพวกเขากลับมาทูลรายงานกษัตริย์เฮเซคียาห์ว่า “ข้าพระบาททั้งหลายได้ชำระพระวิหารขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าทั้งหมด ตลอดจนแท่นเผาบูชาและอุปกรณ์ใช้สอยต่างๆ โต๊ะวางขนมปังเบื้องพระพักตร์ และเครื่องใช้ไม้สอยทุกชิ้นเรียบร้อยแล้ว 19ทั้งได้เตรียมและชำระเครื่องใช้ไม้สอยทุกชิ้นที่กษัตริย์อาหัสย้ายออกไป เพราะพระองค์ไม่ซื่อสัตย์ต่อพระเจ้าในขณะที่พระองค์ทรงเป็นกษัตริย์ บัดนี้ของเหล่านั้นอยู่หน้าแท่นบูชาขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าแล้ว”
20เช้าตรู่วันรุ่งขึ้นกษัตริย์เฮเซคียาห์เสด็จเข้าสู่พระวิหารขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าพร้อมด้วยบรรดาเจ้าหน้าที่ของเมืองนั้น 21ทรงนำวัวผู้เจ็ดตัว แกะผู้เจ็ดตัว ลูกแกะตัวผู้เจ็ดตัว และแพะผู้เจ็ดตัว มาเป็นเครื่องบูชาไถ่บาปสำหรับราชอาณาจักร สำหรับสถานนมัสการ และสำหรับยูดาห์ กษัตริย์ทรงบัญชาให้บรรดาปุโรหิตวงศ์วานของอาโรนถวายสัตว์เหล่านั้นบนแท่นบูชาขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า 22พวกเขาจึงฆ่าวัวผู้ แล้วปุโรหิตนำเลือดไปประพรมบนแท่นบูชา และจากนั้นฆ่าแกะผู้แล้วประพรมเลือดบนแท่นบูชา จากนั้นฆ่าลูกแกะแล้วประพรมเลือดบนแท่นบูชา 23แพะผู้สำหรับเป็นเครื่องบูชาไถ่บาปถูกนำออกมาต่อหน้ากษัตริย์และชุมนุมประชากร แล้วพวกเขาวางมือลงบนแพะเหล่านั้น 24จากนั้นปุโรหิตก็ฆ่าแพะ เอาเลือดประพรมบนแท่นเพื่อเป็นเครื่องบูชาไถ่บาป เพื่อลบบาปให้กับอิสราเอลทั้งปวง เพราะกษัตริย์ทรงบัญชาให้ถวายเครื่องเผาบูชาและเครื่องบูชาไถ่บาปสำหรับอิสราเอลทั้งหมด
25เฮเซคียาห์ทรงตั้งคนเลวีประจำหน้าที่ในพระวิหารขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า ให้บรรเลงฉาบ พิณใหญ่ และพิณเขาคู่ตามที่ดาวิดและกาดผู้ทำนายของกษัตริย์และผู้เผยพระวจนะนาธันได้กำหนดไว้ องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าทรงบัญชาเช่นนี้ผ่านทางผู้เผยพระวจนะของพระองค์ 26คนเลวีจึงเข้าประจำที่เตรียมบรรเลงเครื่องดนตรีที่ดาวิดทำขึ้น ส่วนปุโรหิตก็เข้าประจำที่เตรียมเป่าแตร
27เฮเซคียาห์ทรงบัญชาให้ถวายเครื่องเผาบูชาบนแท่น และเมื่อเริ่มการถวาย ก็เริ่มร้องสรรเสริญองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าคลอด้วยเสียงแตรและเครื่องดนตรีของกษัตริย์ดาวิดแห่งอิสราเอล 28ขณะที่นักร้องขับร้องและนักดนตรีเป่าแตร ชุมนุมประชากรทั้งสิ้นก็น้อมกราบนมัสการ เป็นเช่นนี้จนกระทั่งถวายเครื่องเผาบูชาเสร็จ
29เมื่อถวายเครื่องบูชาเสร็จแล้ว กษัตริย์และคนที่อยู่กับพระองค์ก็คุกเข่าลงกราบนมัสการ 30แล้วกษัตริย์เฮเซคียาห์และขุนนางสั่งให้คนเลวีสรรเสริญองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าด้วยบทสดุดีของดาวิดและของผู้ทำนายอาสาฟ ดังนั้นพวกเขาจึงร้องเพลงสรรเสริญด้วยความยินดีและก้มกราบนมัสการ
31แล้วเฮเซคียาห์ตรัสว่า “บัดนี้ท่านทั้งหลายได้ถวายตัวแด่องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าแล้ว จงนำของถวายและเครื่องบูชาขอบพระคุณมายังพระวิหารขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าเถิด” ดังนั้นประชากรจึงนำของถวายและเครื่องบูชาขอบพระคุณมาถวาย และทุกคนที่เต็มใจก็นำเครื่องเผาบูชามาถวายด้วย
32เครื่องเผาบูชาซึ่งประชากรนำมาถวายมีดังนี้คือ วัวผู้เจ็ดสิบตัว แกะผู้หนึ่งร้อยตัว และลูกแกะตัวผู้สองร้อยตัว ทั้งหมดนี้เป็นเครื่องเผาบูชาแด่องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า 33จำนวนสัตว์ที่ชำระถวายเป็นเครื่องบูชาได้แก่ วัวผู้หกร้อยตัว แกะและแพะสามพันตัว 34แต่มีปุโรหิตน้อยเกินไปสำหรับการถลกหนังสัตว์ที่เป็นเครื่องเผาบูชาทั้งหมด ฉะนั้นคนเลวีซึ่งเป็นพี่น้องของปุโรหิตจึงช่วยเหลือจนเสร็จ และจนปุโรหิตอื่นๆ ชำระตนแล้ว ทั้งนี้เพราะคนเลวีเคร่งครัดในการชำระตนมากกว่าปุโรหิต 35มีเครื่องเผาบูชามากมาย พร้อมทั้งไขมันของเครื่องสันติบูชา และเครื่องดื่มบูชาควบคู่เครื่องเผาบูชา
ดังนั้นการนมัสการในพระวิหารขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าได้รับการฟื้นฟูขึ้นอีกครั้ง 36เฮเซคียาห์และมวลประชากรชื่นชมยินดีในสิ่งที่พระเจ้าทรงกระทำเพื่อประชากรของพระองค์ เพราะทุกอย่างเสร็จสิ้นอย่างรวดเร็ว

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
