คำทำนายของอาหิยาห์
1ครั้งนั้นอาบียาห์โอรสของเยโรโบอัมป่วยหนัก 2เยโรโบอัมจึงตรัสกับมเหสีว่า “จงปลอมตัว อย่าให้ใครจำได้ว่าเป็นมเหสีของเยโรโบอัม ไปพบผู้เผยพระวจนะอาหิยาห์ที่ชิโลห์ ผู้ที่บอกว่าเราจะได้เป็นกษัตริย์ของชนชาตินี้ 3เอาขนมปังสิบก้อน ขนมหวานกับน้ำผึ้งหนึ่งไหไปกำนัลเขาด้วย เขาจะบอกเจ้าว่าจะเกิดอะไรขึ้นกับลูกชายของเรา” 4มเหสีของเยโรโบอัมก็ทำตามนั้น และเสด็จมายังบ้านของอาหิยาห์ที่ชิโลห์ฝ่ายอาหิยาห์ก็มองอะไรไม่เห็นแล้วเพราะชรามาก 5แต่องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าตรัสกับอาหิยาห์ว่า “มเหสีของเยโรโบอัมปลอมตัวมาเพื่อถามเจ้าเกี่ยวกับลูกชายของนางซึ่งป่วยอยู่ เจ้าจงตอบตามนี้”
6ฉะนั้นเมื่ออาหิยาห์ได้ยินเสียงคนเดินมาที่ประตูจึงร้องบอกว่า “เข้ามาเถิด มเหสีของเยโรโบอัม ทำไมต้องปลอมตัวมา? เรามีข่าวร้ายจะแจ้งให้ทราบ 7จงไปบอกเยโรโบอัมว่า พระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าแห่งอิสราเอลตรัสว่า ‘เราได้ยกเจ้าขึ้นมาจากหมู่ประชาชน ตั้งให้เป็นผู้นำของอิสราเอลประชากรของเรา 8เราแบ่งอาณาจักรจากวงศ์วานดาวิดยกให้เจ้า แต่เจ้าไม่ได้เป็นเหมือนดาวิดผู้รับใช้ของเรา ซึ่งปฏิบัติตามคำสั่งของเราและติดตามเราอย่างสุดหัวใจ ผู้ซึ่งทำแต่สิ่งที่ถูกต้องในสายตาของเรา 9เจ้าทำชั่วยิ่งกว่าทุกคนก่อนหน้าเจ้า เจ้าได้สร้างพระต่างๆ ให้ตัวเอง หล่อรูปเคารพโลหะทั้งหลายยั่วยุให้เราโกรธ และหันหลังให้กับเรา
10“ ‘ฉะนั้นเราจะนำหายนะมาสู่วงศ์วานเยโรโบอัม และประหารชายทุกคนไม่ว่าเป็นทาสหรือเป็นไทซึ่งเป็นเชื้อสายของเยโรโบอัมจากอิสราเอล เราจะเผาวงศ์วานของเยโรโบอัมเหมือนเผาขยะจนกว่าจะสิ้นซากไป 11คนของเยโรโบอัมที่ตายในเมืองจะถูกสุนัขแทะกิน และผู้ที่ตายในทุ่งนาจะถูกนกจิกกิน องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าได้ลั่นวาจาไว้!’
12“สำหรับเจ้า จงกลับไปเถิด และเมื่อเจ้าย่างเท้าเข้าตัวเมือง เด็กนั้นจะเสียชีวิต 13ทั่วทั้งอิสราเอลจะไว้อาลัยให้เขาและฝังเขา ในครอบครัวของเยโรโบอัมมีเขาเพียงคนเดียวที่มีคนฝังศพให้ เพราะทั้งราชวงศ์มีเขาคนเดียวเท่านั้นที่พระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของอิสราเอลทรงเห็นว่ามีดีอยู่บ้าง
14“ในวันนี้องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าจะทรงตั้งกษัตริย์องค์หนึ่งเหนืออิสราเอลเพื่อพระองค์เอง ผู้ซึ่งจะกวาดล้างราชวงศ์เยโรโบอัมออกไปตั้งแต่บัดนี้ 15แล้วองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าจะทรงฟาดอิสราเอล จนพวกเขาเป็นเหมือนต้นอ้อที่โอนเอนอยู่ในน้ำ พระองค์จะทรงขุดรากถอนโคนอิสราเอลจากดินแดนอันอุดมสมบูรณ์นี้ ซึ่งทรงโปรดประทานแก่บรรพบุรุษของเขาและจะทรงทำให้พวกเขากระจัดกระจายออกไปไกลกว่าแม่น้ำยูเฟรติสเพราะพวกเขาได้ยั่วยุองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าให้ทรงพระพิโรธโดยการสร้างเสาเจ้าแม่อาเชราห์ ▼

25ในปีที่ห้าแห่งรัชกาลของเรโหโบอัม กษัตริย์ชิชักแห่งอียิปต์มาโจมตีเยรูซาเล็ม 26ชิชักกวาดเอาทรัพย์สมบัติทั้งหมดไปจากพระวิหารขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าและพระราชวัง รวมทั้งโล่ทองคำทั้งหมดซึ่งโซโลมอนทรงทำขึ้น 27ดังนั้นกษัตริย์เรโหโบอัมจึงทรงทำโล่ทองสัมฤทธิ์ขึ้นแทน และมอบหมายให้เหล่าผู้บัญชาการทหารรักษาพระองค์ซึ่งประจำการอยู่ที่ทางเข้าพระราชวังดูแล 28เมื่อใดก็ตามที่กษัตริย์เสด็จมายังพระวิหารขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าเหล่าทหารรักษาพระองค์จะถือโล่ หลังจากนั้นก็นำโล่กลับไปไว้ที่กองรักษาการณ์

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
