1จงดำเนินในวิถีแห่งความรักและใฝ่หาของประทานฝ่ายจิตวิญญาณอย่างกระตือรือร้น โดยเฉพาะการเผยพระวจนะ 2เพราะผู้ที่พูดภาษาแปลกๆ ▼▼หรืออีกภาษาหนึ่งเช่นเดียวกับข้อ 4,13,14,19,26 และ 27
ไม่ได้พูดกับมนุษย์ แต่ทูลต่อพระเจ้า อันที่จริงไม่มีใครเข้าใจสิ่งที่เขาพูดเลย เขากล่าวข้อล้ำลึกด้วยจิตวิญญาณของเขา ▼▼หรือโดยพระวิญญาณ
3แต่ทุกคนที่เผยพระวจนะนั้นกล่าวแก่คนทั้งหลายเพื่อทำให้พวกเขาเข้มแข็งขึ้น เพื่อให้กำลังใจและเพื่อปลอบโยน 4ผู้ที่พูดภาษาแปลกๆ เสริมสร้างตัวเอง ส่วนผู้ที่เผยพระวจนะเสริมสร้างคริสตจักร 5ข้าพเจ้าอยากให้ท่านทุกคนพูดภาษาแปลกๆ ▼▼หรือภาษาอื่นๆทั้งสองครั้งในข้อนี้ และเช่นเดียวกับข้อ 6,18,22,23 และ 39
ได้ แต่ที่ยิ่งกว่านั้นข้าพเจ้าอยากให้ท่านเผยพระวจนะได้ ผู้ที่เผยพระวจนะนั้นยิ่งใหญ่กว่าผู้ที่พูดภาษาแปลกๆ เว้นแต่เขาแปลภาษานั้นๆ ได้เพื่อคริสตจักรจะได้รับเสริมสร้าง 6พี่น้องทั้งหลาย หากข้าพเจ้ามาหาท่านพร้อมกับพูดภาษาแปลกๆ ข้าพเจ้าจะอำนวยประโยชน์อันใดแก่ท่าน? นอกจากว่าข้าพเจ้าจะนำการทรงสำแดง หรือความรู้ หรือการเผยพระวจนะ หรือถ้อยคำสั่งสอนมาให้ 7แม้แต่สิ่งที่ไม่มีชีวิตก็เปล่งเสียงได้ ตัวอย่างเช่นขลุ่ยหรือพิณ ใครจะรู้ว่าเขากำลังบรรเลงทำนองอะไรหากไม่เล่นตามโน้ตให้ชัดเจน? 8และถ้าแตรศึกเป่าเรียกไม่ชัดเจนใครจะเตรียมพร้อมออกรบ? 9ท่านทั้งหลายก็เช่นกัน หากท่านพูดด้วยถ้อยคำที่คนไม่เข้าใจ ใครจะรู้ว่าท่านกำลังพูดอะไร? ท่านก็ได้แต่พูดลมๆ แล้งๆ 10ไม่ต้องสงสัยเลยว่าในโลกย่อมมีภาษาสารพัดแบบ แต่ไม่มีภาษาไหนที่ปราศจากความหมาย 11หากข้าพเจ้าจับใจความที่เขาพูดอยู่ไม่ได้ ข้าพเจ้ากับผู้พูดก็เป็นคนต่างภาษากัน 12ท่านทั้งหลายก็เช่นกัน ในเมื่อท่านใฝ่หาของประทานฝ่ายจิตวิญญาณ ก็จงพยายามที่จะเป็นเลิศในของประทานซึ่งเสริมสร้างคริสตจักร
13ด้วยเหตุนี้ผู้ใดพูดภาษาแปลกๆ ได้ ควรอธิษฐานขอให้เขาแปลสิ่งที่เขาพูดได้ด้วย 14เพราะถ้าข้าพเจ้าอธิษฐานด้วยภาษาแปลกๆ จิตวิญญาณของข้าพเจ้าอธิษฐาน แต่ไม่มีผลต่อความคิดของข้าพเจ้า 15ฉะนั้นข้าพเจ้าควรทำอย่างไร? ข้าพเจ้าจะอธิษฐานด้วยจิตวิญญาณ แต่ข้าพเจ้าก็จะอธิษฐานด้วยความคิดเช่นกัน ข้าพเจ้าจะร้องเพลงด้วยจิตวิญญาณ แต่ข้าพเจ้าก็จะร้องเพลงด้วยความคิดเช่นกัน 16ถ้าท่านสรรเสริญพระเจ้าด้วยจิตวิญญาณของท่าน คนที่ไม่รู้ไม่เข้าใจ ▼

จะกล่าว “อาเมน” ขานรับการขอบพระคุณของท่านได้อย่างไรในเมื่อเขาไม่รู้ว่าท่านพูดอะไร? 17ท่านอาจจะขอบพระคุณได้อย่างดีเยี่ยม แต่ไม่ได้เสริมสร้างคนอื่น 18ข้าพเจ้าขอบพระคุณพระเจ้าที่ข้าพเจ้าพูดภาษาแปลกๆ มากกว่าพวกท่านทั้งหมด 19แต่ในคริสตจักรข้าพเจ้าขอพูดสักห้าคำที่คนฟังเข้าใจได้เพื่อสอนคนอื่น ดีกว่าพูดหมื่นคำเป็นภาษาแปลกๆ
20พี่น้องทั้งหลาย เลิกคิดแบบเด็กๆ เสียเถิด ในเรื่องความชั่วจงเป็นทารก แต่ในด้านความคิดจงเป็นผู้ใหญ่ 21ตามที่มีเขียนไว้ในบทบัญญัติว่า
องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าตรัสว่า
“เราจะพูดกับชนชาตินี้ผ่านทางคนต่างภาษา
ผ่านริมฝีปากของคนต่างชาติ
แต่กระนั้นเขาก็ยังจะไม่ฟังเรา” ▼
22ฉะนั้นการพูดภาษาแปลกๆ จึงเป็นหมายสำคัญไม่ใช่สำหรับผู้เชื่อ แต่สำหรับผู้ที่ไม่เชื่อ แต่การเผยพระวจนะนั้นสำหรับผู้เชื่อ ไม่ใช่ผู้ที่ไม่เชื่อ 23ด้วยเหตุนี้หากทั้งคริสตจักรมาประชุมกันและทุกคนพูดภาษาแปลกๆ แล้วคนที่ไม่เข้าใจ ▼
▼หรือคนสงสัยใฝ่รู้เช่นเดียวกับข้อ 24
หรือผู้ที่ไม่เชื่อเข้ามา จะไม่หาว่าท่านเสียสติไปหรือ? 24แต่ถ้าหากผู้ที่ไม่เชื่อหรือคนที่ไม่เข้าใจเข้ามาขณะที่ทุกคนกำลังเผยพระวจนะ ทั้งหมดนี้ก็จะทำให้เขาสำนึกว่าเขาเป็นคนบาปและทั้งหมดนี้จะพิพากษาเขา 25และความลับต่างๆ ในใจเขาจะถูกตีแผ่ ดังนั้นเขาจะกราบลงนมัสการพระเจ้าและร้องว่า “พระเจ้าสถิตท่ามกลางพวกท่านจริงๆ!” การนมัสการอย่างมีระเบียบ
26พี่น้องทั้งหลาย แล้วเราจะว่าอย่างไรดี? เมื่อพวกท่านมาประชุมกัน ทุกคนมีเพลงสดุดี หรือคำสั่งสอน การทรงสำแดง ภาษาแปลกๆ หรือการแปลภาษาแปลกๆ ทั้งหมดนี้ต้องทำเพื่อให้คริสตจักรเข้มแข็งขึ้น 27หากใครจะพูดภาษาแปลกๆ จงพูดแค่สองคนหรืออย่างมากที่สุดสามคน โดยพูดทีละคนและต้องมีคนแปลความ 28หากไม่มีคนแปล ผู้พูดควรอยู่เงียบๆ ในคริสตจักร พูดกับตัวเองและทูลต่อพระเจ้า29ส่วนผู้เผยพระวจนะควรพูดสักสองหรือสามคน และให้คนอื่นๆ ไตร่ตรองสิ่งที่เขาพูดให้ดี 30หากมีการทรงสำแดงแก่บางคนที่นั่งอยู่ ให้ผู้พูดคนแรกนิ่งก่อน 31เพราะว่าพวกท่านทั้งหมดจะได้เผยพระวจนะทีละคน เพื่อให้ทุกคนได้รับคำสอนและคำให้กำลังใจ 32จิตวิญญาณของผู้เผยพระวจนะย่อมอยู่ในบังคับของผู้เผยพระวจนะ 33เพราะพระเจ้าไม่ใช่พระเจ้าแห่งความวุ่นวาย แต่ทรงเป็นพระเจ้าแห่งความสงบสุข

36พระวจนะของพระเจ้าเกิดมาจากพวกท่านหรือ? พระวจนะมีมาถึงท่านพวกเดียวหรือ? 37ถ้าใครคิดว่าตนเป็นผู้เผยพระวจนะหรือมีของประทานฝ่ายจิตวิญญาณก็ให้เขายอมรับว่าข้อความที่ข้าพเจ้าเขียนมาถึงท่านนี้เป็นพระบัญชาขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า 38ถ้าเขาละเลยเรื่องนี้ ตัวเขาเองจะถูกละเลย ▼

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
