Pumili si Jesus ng Labindalawang Apostol

(Mat. 10:1-4; Mar. 3:13-19)

12Nang panahong iyon, pumunta si Jesus sa bundok at magdamag siyang nanalangin doon. 13Kinaumagahan, tinawag niya ang mga tagasunod niya at pumili siya ng 12 mula sa kanila, at tinawag niya silang mga apostol. 14Ito ay sina Simon (na tinawag niyang Pedro), Andres na kapatid nito, Santiago, Juan, Felipe, Bartolome, 15Mateo, Tomas, Santiago na anak ni Alfeus, Simon na makabayan, ▼
▼makabayan: Si Simon ay naging kabilang sa grupo ng mga Judiong lumalaban sa mga taga-Roma.
 16Judas na anak ng isa pang Santiago, at si Judas Iscariote na siyang nagtraydor kay Jesus.
