Revelation of John 1
1Ang sulat na ito ay tungkol sa mga bagay na inihayag ni Jesu-Cristo na mangyayari sa lalong madaling panahon. Ibinigay ito ng Dios kay Cristo upang maihayag naman sa mga naglilingkod sa Dios. Kaya inihayag ito ni Cristo sa lingkod niyang si Juan sa pamamagitan ng anghel na kanyang isinugo. Ako si Juan, 2at pinapatotohanan ko ang lahat ng nakita ko tungkol sa inihayag ng Dios at sa katotohanang itinuro ni Jesu-Cristo. 3Mapalad ang bumabasa at ang mga nakikinig sa sulat na ito kung tinutupad nila ang nakasulat dito. Sapagkat ang mga sinasabi rito ay malapit nang mangyari.Pagbati sa Pitong Iglesya
4– 5Mula kay Juan, para sa pitong iglesya sa probinsya ng Asia.Sumainyo nawa ang pagpapala at kapayapaang galing sa Dios, sa Espiritu, at kay Jesu-Cristo. Kung tungkol sa Dios, siyaʼy hindi nagbabago ngayon, noon, at sa hinaharap. Kung tungkol sa pitong Espiritu, ▼
▼pitong Espiritu: Ang ibig sabihin, ang kabuuan ng Espiritu. Sapagkat ang bilang na “pito” ay nangangahulugang buo, kumpleto o ganap. Sa ibang salin, pitong espiritu.
siyaʼy nasa harapan ng trono ng Dios. At kung tungkol kay Jesu-Cristo, siya ang mapagkakatiwalaang saksi. Siya ang unang nabuhay mula sa mga patay. ▼▼Siya ang unang nabuhay mula sa mga patay na hindi na mamamatay pang muli.
At siya rin ang namumuno sa lahat ng hari sa lupa. Iniibig niya tayo, at sa pamamagitan ng kanyang dugo ▼▼kanyang dugo: Ang ibig sabihin ay ang kamatayan niya sa krus bilang handog.
iniligtas niya tayo sa ating mga kasalanan. 6Ginawa niya tayong mga hari ▼▼mga hari: o, isang kaharian.
at mga pari upang maglingkod sa Dios na kanyang Ama. Sa kanya ang kaluwalhatian at ang kapangyarihan magpakailanman. Amen. 7Magsipaghanda kayo! Darating si Jesus na nasa mga ulap. Makikita siya ng lahat ng tao, pati na ng mga pumatay sa kanya. At iiyak ang mga tao sa lahat ng bansa sa mundo dahil sa takot nilang sila ay parurusahan na niya. Totoo ito at talagang mangyayari.
8Ang Panginoong Dios ang makapangyarihan sa lahat. Kung ano siya noon, ganoon din siya ngayon at maging sa hinaharap. Kaya sinabi niya, “Ako ang Alpha at ang Omega.” ▼
▼Ako ang Alpha at ang Omega: Ang ibig sabihin ni Jesus, siya ang simula at ang katapusan ng lahat. Ang alpha ang unang letra sa alpabetong Griego at ang omega ang huling letra.
Nagpakita si Cristo kay Juan
9Ako si Juan na kapatid ninyo at kasama sa paghihirap, paghahari, at pagtitiis dahil tayo ay nakay Jesus. Itinapon ako sa isla ng Patmos dahil sa pangangaral ko ng salita ng Dios at ng katotohanang itinuro ni Jesus. 10Noong araw ng Panginoon, pinuspos ako ng Banal na Espiritu, at narinig ko ang malakas na tinig na parang tunog ng trumpeta mula sa aking likuran. 11At ito ang sinabi sa akin, “Isulat mo kung ano ang makikita mo, at ipadala agad sa pitong iglesya: sa Efeso, Smirna, Pergamum, Tiatira, Sardis, Filadelfia, at Laodicea.”12Nang marinig ko ito, lumingon agad ako upang tingnan kung sino ang nagsasalita sa akin. At nakita ko ang pitong ilawang ginto. 13Sa gitna ng mga ilawan ay may nakatayong parang Anak ng Tao. Mahaba ang damit niya na umaabot sa kanyang paa, at may gintong pamigkis sa kanyang dibdib. 14Ang buhok niya ay napakaputi tulad ng telang puting-puti, at ang mga mata niya ay nagbabagang parang apoy. 15Ang mga paa niya ay kumikinang na parang tansong dinalisay sa apoy at pinakintab. Ang tinig niya ay napakalakas na parang rumaragasang tubig. 16May hawak siyang pitong bituin sa kanang kamay niya, at lumalabas sa bibig niya ang isang matalas na espada na dalawa ang talim. Ang mukha niya ay nakakasilaw tulad ng araw sa katanghaliang tapat.
17Nang makita ko siya, napahandusay ako na parang patay sa kanyang paanan. Ipinatong niya agad ang kanang kamay niya sa akin at sinabi, “Huwag kang matakot! Ako ang simula at ang katapusan. 18Akoʼy buhay magpakailanman. Namatay ako, pero masdan mo, buhay ako, at hindi na muling mamamatay. Nasa ilalim ng aking kapangyarihan ang kamatayan at ang lugar ng mga patay. ▼

19Kaya isulat mo ang mga bagay na ipinapakita ko sa iyo – ang mga bagay na nangyayari ngayon at ang mangyayari pa lang. 20Ito ang ibig sabihin ng pitong bituin na nakita mo sa kanang kamay ko at ang pitong ilawang ginto: ang pitong bituin ay ang pitong anghel na nagbabantay sa pitong iglesya, at ang pitong ilawang ginto ay ang pitong iglesya.”

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
