Ang Talinghaga tungkol sa Agila at sa Halamang Gumagapang
1Sinabi ng Panginoon sa akin, 2“Anak ng tao, sabihin mo ang talinghaga na ito sa mga mamamayan ng Israel. 3Sabihin mo sa kanila na ako, ang Panginoong Dios, ay nagsasabi: May malaking agila na lumipad papuntang Lebanon. Malapad ang pakpak nito at malago ang balahibong sari-sari ang kulay. Dumapo siya sa tuktok ng punong sedro, 4pinutol ang umuusbong na sanga at dinala sa lupain ng mga mangangalakal at doon itinanim. 5Pagkatapos, kumuha naman ng binhi ang agila mula sa lupain ng Israel at itinanim sa matabang lupa sa tabi ng ilog at mabilis na tumubo. 6Tumubo ito na isang mababang halaman na gumagapang. Ang mga sanga nitoʼy gumapang papunta sa agila at ang ugat ay lumalim. Nagsanga pa ito at marami pang umusbong.7“Pero may isa pang malaking agilang dumating Malapad din ang mga pakpak at malago ang balahibo. Ang mga ugat at sanga ng halamang iyon ay gumapang papunta sa agila upang mabigyan ito ng mas maraming tubig kaysa sa lupang tinubuan nito. 8Ginawa ito ng halaman kahit na nakatanim ito sa matabang lupa na sagana sa tubig para tumubo, mamunga at maging maganda.
9“Ngayon, ako, ang Panginoong Dios, ay magtatanong: Patuloy ba itong tutubo? Hindi! Bubunutin ito at kukunin ang mga bunga at pababayaang malanta. Napakadali nitong bunutin, hindi na kinakailangan ng lakas o maraming tao para bunutin ito. 10Kahit na itanim itong muli sa ibang lugar hindi na ito tutubo? Tuluyan na itong malalanta kapag nahipan na ng mainit na hangin mula sa silangan.”

11Pagkatapos, sinabi sa akin ng Panginoon, 12“Tanungin mo ang mga mapagrebeldeng mamamayan ng Israel kung alam nila ang kahulugan ng talinghagang ito. Sabihin mo na ito ang kahulugan: Pumunta ang hari ng Babilonia sa Jerusalem at binihag ang hari nito at ang mga tagapamahala, at dinala sa Babilonia. 13Kinuha niya ang isa sa mga anak ng hari ng Juda at gumawa sila ng kasunduan, pinasumpa niya ang anak ng hari na maglilingkod sa kanya. Binihag din niya ang mga marangal na tao ng Juda, 14upang hindi na makabangong muli ang kahariang ito at hindi na makalaban sa kanya. Ang kahariang ito ay mananatili kung ipagpapatuloy niya ang kanyang kasunduan sa Babilonia. 15Pero nagrebelde ang hari ng Juda sa hari ng Babilonia. Nagpadala ng mga tao sa Egipto ang hari ng Juda para humingi ng mga kabayo at sundalo. Pero magtatagumpay kaya siya? Makakatakas kaya siyaʼt makakaligtas sa parusa dahil sa pagsira niya sa kasunduan sa Babilonia? 16Hindi! Sapagkat ako, ang Panginoong Dios na buhay, ay sumusumpa na ang hari ng Juda ay siguradong mamamatay sa Babilonia dahil sinira niya ang sinumpaang kasunduan sa hari nito na nagluklok sa kanya sa trono. 17Hindi siya matutulungan ng Faraon ▼▼Faraon: Ang ibig sabihin, hari ng Egipto.
sa digmaan, pati na ang napakarami at makapangyarihang sundalo nito kapag sumalakay na ang mga taga-Babilonia para puksain ang maraming buhay. 18Sinira ng hari ng Juda ang kasunduang sinumpaan niya sa hari ng Babilonia, kaya hindi siya makakaligtas. 19“Ako, ang Panginoong Dios na buhay, ay sumusumpang parurusahan ko siya dahil sa pagsira niya sa kasunduang sinumpaan niya sa pangalan ko. 20Huhulihin ko siya at dadalhin sa Babilonia at dooʼy paparusahan ko siya dahil sa pagtataksil niya sa akin. 21Mamamatay ang kanyang mga sundalong tumatakas, at ang matitira sa kanila ay mangangalat sa ibaʼt ibang lugar. At malalaman ninyo na akong Panginoon ang nagsabi nito.”

22– 23Sinabi pa ng Panginoong Dios, “Kukuha ako ng usbong sa itaas ng punong sedro at itatanim ko sa ibabaw ng pinakamataas na bundok ng Israel. Lalago ito, magbubunga at magiging magandang punong sedro. Pamumugaran ito ng lahat ng uri ng ibon at sisilong naman ang ibaʼt ibang hayop sa ilalim nito. 24Sa ganoon, malalaman ng lahat ng mga punongkahoy sa lupa na ako nga ang Panginoong pumuputol ng matataas na punongkahoy. Ako rin ang nagpapatuyo sa mga sariwang punongkahoy at nagpapasariwa ng natutuyong puno. Ako, ang Panginoon, ang nangako nito, at talagang gagawin ko ito.”

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
