Mahalin ang Panginoon na inyong Dios
1“Ito ang mga utos, katuruan at tuntunin na iniutos ng Panginoon na inyong Dios sa akin na ituro sa inyo. Sundin ninyo ito sa lupaing inyong aariin doon sa kabila ng Jordan, 2para kayo at ang mga anak at mga apo ninyo ay gumalang sa Panginoon na inyong Dios habang nabubuhay kayo. Kung susundin ninyo ang lahat ng utos niya at mga tuntunin na ibinigay ko sa inyo, mabubuhay kayo nang matagal. 3Makinig kayo, O mamamayan ng Israel, at sundin ninyo ang kanyang mga utos para maging mabuti ang inyong kalagayan at upang lalo pa kayong dumami sa maganda at masaganang lupain, ▼▼maganda at masaganang lupain: sa literal, lupain na dumadaloy ang gatas at pulot.

5Mahalin ninyo ang Panginoon na inyong Dios nang buong puso, nang buong kaluluwa, at nang buo ninyong lakas. 6Huwag ninyong kalilimutan ang mga utos na ito na ibinigay ko sa inyo ngayon. 7Ituro ninyo ito sa inyong mga anak. Pag-usapan ninyo ito kapag kayoʼy nasa inyong mga bahay at kapag naglalakad, kapag nakahiga, at kapag babangon kayo. 8Itali ninyo ito sa inyong mga braso o ilagay sa inyong mga noo bilang paalala sa inyo. 9Isulat ninyo ito sa mga hamba ng inyong bahay at sa bukana ng pintuan ng inyong mga lungsod. 10“Dadalhin kayo ng Panginoon na inyong Dios doon sa lupain na ipinangako niya sa inyong mga ninuno na sina Abraham, Isaac, at Jacob. Malaki ang lupaing ito at may maunlad na mga lungsod na hindi kayo ang nagtayo. 11May mga bahay din ito na puno ng mabubuting bagay na hindi kayo ang naghirap, may mga balon na hindi kayo ang naghukay, at mga ubasan at mga puno ng olibo na hindi kayo ang nagtanim. At kung makakain na kayo at mabusog, 12siguraduhin ninyo na hindi ninyo makakalimutan ang Panginoon na naglabas sa inyo sa Egipto kung saan kayo inalipin.
13“Igalang ninyo ang Panginoon na inyong Dios; siya lang ang inyong paglingkuran at mangako kayo sa pangalan lang niya. 14Huwag kayong susunod sa ibang mga dios, ang mga dios ng mga mamamayan sa inyong paligid; 15dahil ang Panginoon na inyong Dios na kasama nʼyo ay ayaw na may sinasamba kayong iba. Kung sasamba kayo sa ibang dios, ipadarama ng Panginoon ang kanyang galit sa inyo at lilipulin niya kayo sa mundo. 16Huwag ninyong susubukin ang Panginoon na inyong Dios kagaya ng ginawa ninyo sa Masa. 17Sundin ninyo ang kanyang mga utos, mga katuruan at mga tuntunin na ibinigay sa inyo ng Panginoon na inyong Dios. 18Gawin ninyo ang tama at mabuti sa paningin ng Panginoon para maging mabuti ang inyong kalagayan at maangkin ninyo ang magandang lupaing ipinangako niya sa inyong mga ninuno. 19Itataboy niya sa inyong harapan ang lahat ng inyong mga kaaway ayon sa kanyang sinabi.
20“Sa darating na panahon, kung magtanong ang inyong mga anak, ‘Ano po ba ang ibig sabihin ng mga katuruan, tuntunin at kautusan na iniutos ng Panginoon na ating Dios?’ 21Sabihin ninyo sa kanila, ‘Mga alipin kami noon ng hari ▼

ng Egipto, pero inilabas kami roon ng Panginoon sa pamamagitan ng kanyang kapangyarihan. 22Nakita namin ang mga dakilang himala at mga kamangha-manghang bagay na ginawa niya sa pagpaparusa sa mga mamamayan ng Egipto, kasama ng Faraon at ng buong sambahayan niya. 23At inilabas niya kami sa Egipto para dalhin sa lupain na kanyang ipinangako sa ating mga ninuno. 24Inutusan kami ng Panginoon na sundin namin ang lahat ng mga tuntuning ito at gumalang sa kanya na ating Dios, para lagi kaming maging maunlad at mabuhay nang matagal gaya ng nangyayari ngayon. 25At kung susundin lang nating mabuti ang lahat ng mga utos na ito ng Panginoon na ating Dios, gaya ng iniutos sa atin, magiging matuwid tayo sa kanyang paningin.’

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
