Ang Pagpunta ni Pablo sa Corinto
1Pagkatapos noon, umalis si Pablo sa Athens at pumunta sa Corinto. 2Nakilala niya roon si Aquila na isang Judio na taga-Pontus, at ang asawa nitong si Priscila. Kararating lang nila galing sa Italia, dahil may utos si Emperador Claudius na ang lahat ng Judio ay dapat umalis sa Roma. Dinalaw ni Pablo ang mag-asawang ito sa kanilang bahay. 3Pareho silang manggagawa ng tolda, kaya nakitira na siya sa kanila at nagtrabahong kasama nila. 4Tuwing Araw ng Pamamahinga pumupunta si Pablo sa sambahan ng mga Judio para makipagdiskusyon, dahil gusto niyang sumampalataya ang mga Judio at mga Griego kay Cristo.5Nang dumating sina Silas at Timoteo mula sa Macedonia, ginamit ni Pablo ang buong panahon niya sa pangangaral ng salita ng Dios. Pinatunayan niya sa mga Judio na si Jesus ang Cristo. 6Pero kinontra nila si Pablo at pinagsabihan ng masama. Kaya ipinagpag ni Pablo ang alikabok sa kanyang damit bilang babala laban sa kanila. Sinabi niya, “Kasalanan na ninyo kung parurusahan kayo ng Dios. Wala na akong pananagutan sa inyo. Simula ngayon, sa mga hindi Judio na ako mangangaral.” 7Kaya iniwan niya ang mga Judio at doon siya nakituloy sa bahay ni Titius Justus. Ang taong ito ay hindi Judio, pero sumasamba sa Dios. Ang bahay niya ay nasa tabi mismo ng sambahan ng mga Judio. 8Si Crispus na namumuno sa sambahan ng mga Judio at ang kanyang pamilya ay sumampalataya rin sa Panginoong Jesus; at marami pang mga taga-Corinto na nakinig kay Pablo ang sumampalataya at nagpabautismo.
9Isang gabi, nagpakita ang Panginoon kay Pablo sa pamamagitan ng pangitain at sinabi, “Huwag kang matakot. Ipagpatuloy mo ang pangangaral at huwag kang titigil, 10dahil kasama mo ako. Marami akong tagasunod sa lungsod na ito, kaya walang mangangahas na manakit sa iyo.” 11Kaya nanatili si Pablo sa Corinto sa loob ng isaʼt kalahating taon, at itinuro niya sa mga tao ang salita ng Dios.
12Pero nang si Galio na ang gobernador ng Acaya, nagkaisa ang mga Judio laban kay Pablo. Hinuli nila siya at dinala kay Galio para akusahan. 13Sinabi nila, “Hinihikayat ng lalaking ito ang mga tao na sumamba sa Dios sa paraan na labag sa ating kautusan.” 14Magsasalita na sana si Pablo, pero nagsalita si Galio sa mga Judio, “Kung ang kasong ito na dinala ninyo sa akin ay tungkol sa isang krimen o mabigat na kasalanan, makikinig ako sa inyo. 15Pero tungkol lang ito sa mga salita, mga pangalan, at sa inyong Kautusan. Kayo na ang bahala riyan. Ayaw kong humatol sa ganyang mga bagay.” 16At pinalabas niya sila sa korte. 17Pagkatapos, hinuli ng mga Griego si Sostenes na namumuno sa sambahan ng mga Judio at ginulpi nila roon mismo sa labas ng korte, pero hindi ito pinansin ni Galio.
Ang Pagbalik ni Pablo sa Antioc na Sakop ng Syria
18Nanatili pa si Pablo nang ilang araw sa Corinto. Pagkatapos, nagpaalam siya sa mga kapatid at pumunta sa Cencrea kasama ang mag-asawang Priscila at Aquila. Nagpagupit siya roon ng buhok dahil natupad na niya ang isa niyang panata sa Dios. Mula sa Cencrea bumiyahe sila papuntang Syria. 19– 20– 21 ▼▼The text of verses 19-Act 18:21 has been merged.
Dumaan sila sa Efeso at pumasok si Pablo sa sambahan ng mga Judio at nakipagdiskusyon sa kanila. Kinausap nila si Pablo na manatili muna roon sa kanila, pero ayaw ni Pablo. Bago siya umalis, sinabi niya sa kanila, “Kung loloobin ng Dios, babalik ako rito.” Iniwan ni Pablo ang mag-asawang Priscila at Aquila sa Efeso at bumiyahe siya papuntang Syria. 22Pagdating niya sa Cesarea, pumunta siya sa Jerusalem at dinalaw ang iglesya, at saka tumuloy sa Antioc. 23Hindi siya nagtagal doon, umalis siya at inikot niya ang mga lugar na sakop ng Galacia at Frigia at pinalakas niya ang pananampalataya ng mga tagasunod ni Jesus doon.
Ang Pagtuturo ni Apolos sa Efeso
24Samantala, dumating sa Efeso ang isang Judiong taga-Alexandria. Ang kanyang pangalan ay Apolos. Mahusay siyang magsalita at maraming nalalaman sa Kasulatan. 25Naturuan na siya tungkol sa pamamaraan ng Panginoon. Masipag siyang mangaral at tama ang kanyang itinuturo tungkol kay Jesus. Pero ang bautismong alam niya ay ang bautismo lang na itinuro ni Juan. 26Hindi siya natatakot magsalita sa sambahan ng mga Judio. Nang marinig nina Priscila at Aquila ang kanyang itinuturo, inimbitahan nila siya sa kanilang bahay at ipinaliwanag nila nang mabuti sa kanya ang pamamaraan ng Dios. 27At nang magpasya si Apolos na pumunta sa Acaya, tinulungan siya ng mga mananampalataya sa Efeso. Sumulat sila sa mga tagasunod ni Jesus sa Acaya na tanggapin nila si Apolos. Pagdating niya roon, malaki ang naitulong niya sa mga naging mananampalataya dahil sa biyaya ng Dios. 28At tinalo niya nang husto ang mga Judio sa kanilang mga diskusyon sa harap ng madla, at pinatunayan sa kanila mula sa Kasulatan na si Jesus ang Cristo.

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
