Sasa basi, wewe pamoja na watu wote hawa, jiandaeni kuvuka huu Mto Yordani kuingia nchi ambayo karibu nitawapa wana wa Israeli. 3 cKila mahali nyayo za miguu yenu zitakapokanyaga nimewapa, kama vile nilivyomwahidi Mose. 4 dNchi yenu itaenea kuanzia jangwa hili hadi Lebanoni, tena kuanzia mto mkubwa wa Frati, yaani nchi yote ya Wahiti, hadi Bahari ile Kubwa ▼▼Yaani Bahari ya Mediterania.

Uwe na bidii kutii sheria yote aliyokupa Mose mtumishi wangu, usiiache kwa kugeuka kuelekea kuume au kushoto, ili upate kufanikiwa popote uendako. 8 iUsiache Kitabu hiki cha Sheria kiondoke kinywani mwako; yatafakari maneno yake usiku na mchana, ili upate kuwa mwangalifu kufanya kila kitu sawasawa na yote yaliyoandikwa ndani yake. Ndipo utakapofanikiwa na kisha utastawi. 9 jJe, si mimi niliyekuamuru? Uwe hodari na shujaa. Usihofu wala usivunjike moyo, kwa kuwa Bwana Mungu wako atakuwa pamoja nawe kokote uendako.”
10 kNdipo Yoshua akawaagiza maafisa wa watu akisema, 11 l“Pitieni katika kambi yote mkawaambie watu, ‘Wekeni tayari mahitaji yenu. Siku tatu kuanzia sasa mtavuka hii Yordani ili kuingia na kuimiliki nchi ambayo Bwana Mungu wenu anawapa iwe yenu wenyewe.’ ”
12 mLakini kwa Wareubeni, Wagadi na nusu ya kabila la Manase, Yoshua akasema, 13 n“Kumbukeni agizo lile Mose mtumishi wa Bwana alilowapa: ‘Bwana Mungu wenu anawapa ninyi raha, naye amewapa nchi hii.’ 14 oWake zenu, watoto wenu na mifugo yenu watakaa katika nchi ile Mose aliyowapa mashariki ya Yordani, lakini mashujaa wenu wote, wakiwa wamevikwa silaha kikamilifu lazima wavuke mbele ya ndugu zenu. Imewapasa kuwasaidia ndugu zenu hadi 15 pBwana awape nao raha, kama alivyokwisha kufanya kwa ajili yenu hadi wao pia watakapokuwa wamemiliki nchi ile Bwana Mungu wenu anayowapa. Baada ya hilo, mwaweza kurudi na kukalia nchi yenu wenyewe, ambayo Mose mtumishi wa Bwana aliwapa mashariki mwa Yordani kuelekea linakochomoza jua.”
16 qNdipo wakamjibu Yoshua, “Chochote ambacho umetuagiza tutafanya na popote utakapotutuma tutakwenda. 17 rKama vile tulivyomtii Mose kikamilifu, ndivyo tutakavyokutii wewe. Bwana Mungu wako na awe pamoja nawe tu kama vile alivyokuwa pamoja na Mose. 18Yeyote atakayeasi neno lako na kuacha kuyatii maneno yako, au chochote utakachowaamuru, atauawa. Uwe imara na hodari tu!”

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
