Matthew 24
Prihodnost sveta
(Marko 13,1-20; Luka 21,5-24)
1Ko je Jezus zapustil tempelj, so prišli njegovi učenci in so mu hoteli pokazati veličastne zgradbe templja. 2Tedaj jim je Jezus odgovoril: “Le dobro si vse oglejte! Vse to bo porušeno do temelja, ne bo ostal niti kamen na kamnu.”3“Kdaj pa se bo to zgodilo?” so ga pozneje vprašali učenci, ko je sedel z njimi na pobočju Oljske gore. “Kateri dogodki bodo naznanili tvojo vrnitev in konec sveta?”
4Jezus je odgovoril: “Nihče naj vas ne zapelje in ne prevara! 5Mnogi bodo namreč trdili: ‘Jaz sem Kristus!’ Na žalost bodo mnoge zapeljali. 6Ko boste slišali o vojnah in nemirih, se varujte, toda ni se vam treba bati! To se mora zgoditi, vendar še ne pomeni, da je tu konec. 7Ljudstva in zveze držav se bodo bojevale druga z drugo. V mnogih delih sveta bodo lakote in potresi. 8To pa je šele začetek konca, prav tako kot prvi popadki pri ženi, ki naj bi rodila.
9Potem vas bodo preganjali in morili in ves svet vas bo sovražil, ker ste moji. 10Mnogi bodo zatajili svojo vero, drug drugega bodo izdajali in sovražili. 11Nastopili bodo krivi preroki in mnoge bodo zapeljali. 12Ker se ne bodo menili za Božje zapovedi, bo hudobnost vsepovsod prihajala do veljave. Pri mnogih se bo ljubezen ohladila. 13Kdor pa izdrži do konca, bo rešen. 14Radostno sporočilo o Božjem kraljestvu bodo oznanjevali po vsem svetu, da bi ga lahko vsi slišali. Šele nato bo prišel konec. ▼

15Ko boste videli odvratnega malika, da stoji v svetišču – tisti, ki to bere, naj razume – o čemer je pisal prerok Daniel, ▼

16tedaj naj vsi, ki so v Judeji, zbežijo v gore. 17Kdor je na terasi svoje hiše, naj ne išče najprej v stanovanju prtljage za beg. 18Kdor je pri delu na polju, naj ne hiti najprej domov po plašč. 19Težko pa bo za žene, ki pričakujejo otroka ter za matere z dojenčki. 20Molite zato, da ne bi morali bežati pozimi ali v soboto. 21Prišel bo čas stiske, kakršne svet še nikoli ni doživel in kakršne tudi nikoli več ne bo. 22Če ta čas trpljenja ne bi bil skrajšan, se nihče ne bi mogel rešiti. Toda zaradi Božjih izvoljencev bo Bog ta čas skrajšal.” Svarilo pred lažnimi “rešitelji”

ali ‘Tam se je prikazal Kristus,’ ne verjemite! 24Mnogi se bodo izdajali za rešitelje sveta in nastopili bodo lažni preroki. Delali bodo presenetljive čudeže in če bi bilo mogoče, bi zapeljali celo Božje izvoljence. 25Mislite na to, kajti posvaril sem vas! 26Če vam kdo pravi: ‘Rešitelj je zunaj v puščavi,’ ne hodite tja. Če bi rekli, da se kjerkoli skriva, tudi tega ne verjemite. 27Kakor zažari nebo od vzhoda do zahoda, ko se zabliska, tak bo prihod Sina človekovega. 28Jastrebi se namreč zbirajo tam, kjer je mrhovina.” Rešitelj in Sodnik

29“Neposredno po teh strašnih časih grozot‘bosta otemnela sonce in mesec.
Zvezde bodo zapustile svoje poti,
po katerih krožijo
in kozmične sile se bodo pokrenile.’
30Potem se bo na nebu pojavil znak Sina človekovega. Ljudje po celi zemlji bodo žalovali in jokali. Videli bodo, kako bo prišel Sin človekov v božanski moči in slavi na nebeških oblakih. 31Poslal bo svoje angele z mogočnim glasom trobente, da zberejo njegove izvoljence z vseh delov sveta.”

32“Tudi smokvino drevo naj posluži kot slika: ko pride sok v veje in le-te poženejo liste, takrat veste, da je poletje blizu. 33Prav tako boste vedeli, da je moj prihod blizu, ko se vse to zgodi. 34Povem vam: to ljudstvo ▼▼V izvirniku: ta rod.
ne bo izginilo, dokler se vse to ne zgodi. 35Nebo in zemlja bosta izginila; moje besede pa veljajo za vse čase in nikoli ne izginejo. 36Nihče ne ve, kdaj pride konec. Nihče ne ve dneva, niti ure, celo angeli v nebesih ne, niti Sin človekov. Samo Oče ve, kdaj bo to. 37Ko pride Sin človekov, bo na zemlji tako, kot je bilo v Noetovem času, preden je prišel veliki potop. 38V dnevih pred potopom so namreč ljudje živeli takole: jed, pijača in ženitev – to je bila vsebina njihovega življenja. 39Celo takrat, ko je Noe šel v ladjo, niso verjeli, da bo prišla povodenj, vse dotlej dokler jih niso zagrnile silne vode. Prav tako bo tudi ob prihodu Sina človekovega. 40Dva bosta skupaj delala na polju. Enega naenkrat ne bo več, drugi pa bo ostal. 41Dve ženi bosta zaposleni z gospodinjskim delom: ene naenkrat ne bo več, druga pa bo ostala. 42Zato bodite vedno pripravljeni! Ne veste namreč, kdaj se bo vrnil vaš Gospod. 43Gotovo je, da bi gospodar pravočasno ukrenil vse potrebno, da bi se zavaroval pred tatom, če bi vedel, kdaj bo le-ta prišel. 44Vedno bodite pripravljeni, ker bo Sin človekov prišel, ko boste najmanj pričakovali!”

45“Kako ravna pametni in zanesljivi oskrbnik?” je vprašal Jezus svoje učence. “Dobil je nalogo, da zaposli delavce in poskrbi zanje, da bi imeli vse, kar potrebujejo! 46Kako srečen bo, če ga njegov gospodar ob vrnitvi najde pri vestnem opravljanju svojega dela. 47Povem vam, da bo zanesljivemu oskrbniku zaupal vse svoje imetje. 48Če pa je oskrbnik nezanesljiv in na tihem misli: ‘Ah, kaj, saj gotovo še dolgo ne bo gospodarja,’ 49začne pretepati delavce in popivati s prijatelji. 50Tedaj se bo gospodar nenadoma vrnil, tisti dan, ko ga bo najmanj pričakoval in tisto uro, ko se mu bo to zdelo nemogoče. 51Gospodar ga bo kaznoval, obsodil ga bo kot hinavca in izgnal tja, kjer bo jok in škrtanje z zobmi.”

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
