Jezus ozdravi obsedenega človeka
(Matej 8,28-34; Luka 8,26-39)
1Ko so na drugi strani jezera prišli v okolico Gadare 2in je Jezus stopil iz čolna, jim je pritekel nasproti neki človek. 3Bil je pod oblastjo demonov in je prebival v votlinah, kjer so pokopavali mrliče. Bil je tako podivjan, da ga celo z verigami niso mogli ukrotiti. 4Kadarkoli so ga zvezali, je strgal celo verige. Nihče se mu ni upal približati. 5Tako se je mudil v votlinah podnevi kot tudi ponoči, ali pa je taval po gorah. Besnel je in se udarjal s kamenjem. 6Brž ko je zagledal Jezusa, se je vrgel predenj in na ves glas zakričal: 7“Kaj hočeš od mene, Jezus, Sin Božji? Zaklinjam te pri Najvišjem, ne muči me!” 8Jezus je namreč zapovedal demonu: “Zapusti svojo žrtev, hudobni duh!” 9Potem ga je Jezus vprašal: “Kako se imenuješ?” Demon je odgovoril: “Ime mi je Legija, kajti nisem sam, ampak nas je mnogo, ki gospodujemo temu človeku.” 10Kar naprej je prosil Jezusa: “Ne izženi nas v kak oddaljen kraj!” 11V bližini na nekem pobočju se je pasla čreda svinj. 12“Dovoli, da se naselimo v te svinje,” so moledovali demoni. 13Jezus jim je dovolil. Hudobni duhovi so zapustili človeka in se polastili svinj, ki so zdrvele po pobočju navzdol v jezero. Vseh dva tisoč živali je utonilo. 14Prestrašeni so pastirji odhiteli v mesto in vsepovsod pripovedovali, kaj se je zgodilo. Mnogo ljudi se je zbralo ob jezeru, da bi se sami prepričali o tem. 15Videli so človeka, ki so ga mučili mnogi demoni. Bil je oblečen, kot vsi ostali ljudje in je mirno sedel poleg Jezusa. Prevzel jih je strah. 16Tisti pa, ki so bili priče temu, so pripovedovali, kako je bil ozdravljen in kaj se je zgodilo s svinjami. 17Po vsem tem so ljudje prosili Jezusa, naj odide iz njihovega kraja. 18Ko je Jezus hotel stopiti v čoln, ga je ozdravljeni prosil: “Rad bi ostal pri tebi.” 19Jezus pa mu ni dovolil. Rekel je: “Pojdi domov k svoji družini in pripoveduj, kakšen velik čudež je Jezus storil v tvojem življenju in kako se te je usmilil!” 20Ta človek je potem prepotoval območje deseterih mest ▼▼Dekapolis ali Deseteromestje.

21Komaj se je Jezus vrnil na drugi breg, že se je tam zbrala velika množica ljudi okrog njega. 22Tedaj je prišel Jair, predstojnik judovske sinagoge in padel pred Jezusa. 23Ves obupan ga je prosil: “Moja hčerka umira. Pridi in položi nanjo roko, da bi ozdravela!” 24Jezus je odšel z Jairom, za njim pa je šla množica ljudi.25Med množico je bila tudi neka žena, ki je že dvanajst let trpela zaradi močne krvavitve. 26Mnogi zdravniki so ji poskušali pomagati in razdala jim je vse svoje premoženje. Toda nihče ji ni mogel pomagati. Bilo ji je celo čedalje slabše. 27Potem pa je slišala, da Jezus ozdravlja bolne. Prerinila se je skozi množico do Jezusa in se od zadaj dotaknila njegovega plašča. 28Pri tem je razmišljala: “Če se le dotaknem njegove obleke, bom gotovo ozdravela.” 29Res je takoj opazila, da je bila rešena nadloge. Krvavitev se je ustavila. 30Tudi Jezus je čutil, da je ozdravljajoča moč izšla iz njega, zato se je ozrl po množici in vprašal: “Kdo se me je dotaknil?” 31Učenci so odgovorili: “Ljudstvo te stiska z vseh strani, pa sprašuješ, kdo se te je dotaknil?” 32Toda Jezus je opazil ženo, ki se ga je dotaknila. 33Bila je prestrašena in je vsa trepetala, kajti vedela je, kaj se je zgodilo z njo. Padla je predenj in mu vse povedala. 34Jezus ji je rekel: “Hči, ker si tako čvrsto verovala vame, si ozdravela. Pojdi v miru. Ozdravljena si.”
35Ko se je še pogovarjal s to ženo, je priteklo nekaj ljudi z Jairovega doma in kričalo: “Tvoja hči je mrtva. Nima več nobenega smisla, da nadleguješ Gospoda.” 36Jezus je to slišal in je rekel Jairu: “Ne obupuj! Zanesi se povsem name!” 37Potem je Jezus ustavil množico in ni dovolil, da bi kdo drug razen Petra, Jakoba in Janeza šel z njim. 38Ko so dospeli do Jairovega doma, je Jezus videl mnogo ljudi in slišal jokanje in zdihovanje. 39“Zakaj ves ta hrup?” jih je vprašal. “Otrok ni mrtev, ampak samo spi.” 40To se jim je zdelo tako nesmiselno, da so se mu posmehovali. Vse je poslal proč, samo starši in njegovi trije učenci so šli k otrokovi postelji. 41Potem je prijel deklico za roko in rekel: “Talita kumi!” (kar pomeni, “Deklica, pravim ti, vstani!”) 42Dvanajstletna deklica je vstala in stekla po sobi. Staršem je zastal dih. Niso vedeli, kaj naj bi rekli. 43Jezus jim je izrecno prepovedal, da komu pripovedujejo o tem. “Zdaj pa dajte deklici jesti!” je rekel.

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
