3Dragi prijatelji! Pravzaprav sem vam hotel pisati o tem, kako čudovito nas je Bog rešil. Zdaj pa čutim, da bi namesto tega pismo moralo biti spodbuda, da se z vsemi močmi borite za resnico, ki jo je Bog enkrat za vselej izročil svojemu ljudstvu. 4To vam pravim zato, ker so se med vas prikradli brezbožni ljudje, ki trdijo, da človek, ki je postal kristjan, lahko dela, kar hoče ter da se mu ni treba bati Božje kazni. Toda njihov konec je bil že zdavnaj določen, saj brez vesti zlorabljajo Božjo milost, da bi živeli v nemorali. Obrnili so se proti našemu edinemu Gospodarju in Gospodu, Jezusu Kristusu.5Rad bi vas spomnil tega, kar že veste, namreč, da je Gospod najprej rešil svoj narod iz egiptovske dežele, potem pa je kaznoval s smrtjo tiste, ki mu niso verovali. 6Prav tako želim, da se spomnite angelov, ki niso ostali v mejah oblasti, ki jim je bila dodeljena, temveč so zapustili svoja prebivališča. Zato jih je Bog vklenil v verige in zaprl v temo, kjer čakajo na dan sodbe. ▼

7Ne pozabite tudi Sodome in Gomore in sosednjih mest, ki so bila polna vsakovrstnih poželenj in spolne izprijenosti. Ta mesta so bila pokončana z ognjem in nas neprestano spominjajo na pekel, kjer grešnike čaka kazen. 8Na enak način ti sanjači onečaščajo svoja telesa, zavračajo oblasti in preklinjajo nebeška bitja. 9Kaj takega si ni dovolil niti Mihael, čeprav je eden izmed mogočnejših angelov, ko se je hudič prepiral z njim za Mojzesovo telo, ampak je samo dejal: “Gospod naj te pokara!” in si ga ni upal obtožiti, ali pa se mu posmehovati. ▼▼5. 10Ti ljudje pa se posmehujejo in preklinjajo to, česar sploh ne poznajo. Tisto pa kar instinktivno razumejo kot nerazumne živali, se bo obrnilo njim v pogubo. 11Gorje jim! Ravnajo se po Kajnovem zgledu, ki je ubil svojega brata. ▼▼1. Mojzesova 4.

Kakor Korah so se uprli Bogu in kot je njega zadela poguba, bo zadela tudi njih. ▼▼4. Mojzesova 16.
12Ti ljudje so kot umazani madeži kadar se zbirate k skupnim obedom. Brez sramu jedo z vami in skrbijo samo za to, da napolnijo svoje trebuhe – pastirji, ki pitajo sebe. Tako so le v sramoto cerkvi. Taki so kot oblaki, ki jih preganja veter. Obljubljajo dež, dežja pa ni. Podobni so sadnemu drevju, na katerem zaman iščemo sadu, dvakrat so mrtvi, kajti suhi so prav do korenin in čakajo, da jih sežgo. 13So kot divji morski valovi, ki mečejo peno in umazanijo na obalo. Podobni so zvezdam, ki so skrenile s prave poti in bodo izginile v večni temi. 14Henoh, ki je živel v sedmi generaciji računajoč od Adama, je že tedaj govoril o takih ljudeh: “Glejte, Gospod prihaja z mnogimi tisoči svojih svetih, 15da bi sodil vsem ljudem ter da bi obsodil brezbožne zaradi njihovih brezbožnih dejanj, ki so jih storili na svoj brezbožen način, in za vse strašne besede, ki so jih brezbožni grešniki izgovorili proti Bogu.” 16Ti ljudje se kar naprej pritožujejo in pripisujejo krivdo drugim, hvalijo sami sebe in se dobrikajo drugim, kadar jim je to v korist. Jezus bo kmalu prišel
17Dragi prijatelji! Spomnite se tega, kar so vam povedali apostoli našega Gospoda Jezusa Kristusa vnaprej. 18Rekli so: “V poslednjih časih bodo prišli ljudje, ki se bodo norčevali iz vas, njih same pa bodo vodila njihova brezbožna poželenja.” 19Ti ljudje povzročajo razcepe med vami, ker se ravnajo po svojih naravnih instinktih; Božjega Duha pa ni v njih. ▼▼V izvirniku: Ti so, ki napravljajo razkole, posvetni, nimajo Duha.
20Vi pa, dragi moji prijatelji, gradite trdneje kot kdajkoli svoja življenja na temelju vere. ▼▼V izvirniku: izgrajujte se na svoji presveti veri.
Molite v moči in sili Svetega Duha. 21Ostanite trdni v Božji ljubezni in potrpežljivo čakajte dan, ko vas bo Gospod Jezus Kristus po svojem usmiljenju povedel v večno kraljestvo. 22Bodite usmiljeni s tistimi, ki dvomijo. 23Rešujte nekatere iz samih peklenskih plamenov. ▼▼V izvirniku: rešite, potegnite jih iz ognja.

24Edino Bog nas lahko obvaruje, da ne bi zašli s prave poti. Ko pa bo Kristus spet prišel v svoji slavi, bomo lahko s čisto vestjo in radostni odšli z njim. 25Bogu, ki nas je po našem Gospodu Jezusu Kristusu rešil, pripada čast, slava, moč in oblast od začetka in na vse veke. Amen.

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
