Umivanje nog – Jezus služi svojim učencem
(Matej 23,11-12; Luka 22,24-28)
1Na predvečer velikonočnega praznika je Jezus vedel, da je zdaj prišel čas, da odide s tega sveta in se vrne k Očetu. Ljubil je tiste, ki so bili njegovi na tem svetu in ni jih prenehal ljubiti. 2Ta večer, ko je Jezus sedel s svojimi učenci pri večerji, je hudič že zapeljal Judo Iškarijota, da bi izdal Jezusa. 3Jezus pa je vedel, da mu je Oče dal neomejeno moč ter da je prišel od Boga in da se bo vrnil k Bogu. 4Tedaj je vstal od mize, slekel je svoj plašč in si opasal brisačo. 5Zlil je vodo v umivalnik in začel umivati učencem noge in jih otirati z brisačo. 6Ko je prišel do Simona Petra, ga je ta zavrnil: “Gospod, ne boš mi vendar ti umival nog!” 7Jezus je odgovoril: “Zdaj še ne razumeš, kaj delam. Pozneje pa boš razumel.” 8Peter pa je vztrajal pri svojem: “Nikakor mi ne boš ti umival nog!” Na to mu je Jezus odvrnil: “Če ti ne umijem nog, ne moreš biti moj učenec.” 9Tedaj je Peter dejal: “Gospod, če je tako, pa mi umij tudi roke in obraz in ne le noge!” 10Jezus je odgovoril: “Kdor se je okopal, je ves čist. Temu je treba samo umiti noge. Vi ste vsi čisti – razen enega.” 11Jezus je namreč vedel, kdo naj bi ga izdal. Zato je rekel: “Niste vsi čisti.”12Potem ko jim je Jezus umil noge, si je spet oblekel plašč, sedel je in vprašal svoje učence: “Ali razumete, kaj sem pravkar storil? 13Imenujete me učitelja in Gospoda. Prav je tako, kajti to tudi sem. 14Tako kot sem jaz, vaš učitelj in Gospod, vam umil noge, umivajte tudi vi noge drug drugemu. 15S tem sem vam dal primer, ki ga posnemajte. Delajte prav tako! 16Zapomnite si, da služabnik nikoli ni večji od gospodarja in odposlanec nikoli ni večji od tistega, ki ga je poslal. 17Če ste to razumeli, v skladu s tem tudi ravnajte in Bog vas bo blagoslovil. ▼

18Zdaj ne govorim vam vsem; vem namreč, katere sem izbral za učence. To pa, kar je v Svetem pismu vnaprej napisano, se bo tudi uresničilo: ‘Nekdo, ki z menoj jé kruh, me bo izdal’ ▼▼Psalm 41,10.
in to se bo v kratkem zgodilo. 19To vam povem zdaj, da boste potem, ko se bo zgodilo, vedeli, da sem jaz ta, ki ga je Bog poslal. 20Ne pozabite tudi tega: kdor sprejme človeka, ki ga jaz pošljem, sprejme mene. Kdor pa sprejme mene, sprejme Očeta, ki me je poslal.” “Eden izmed vas me bo izdal”

21Potem ko je Jezus povedal to, je žalosten ponovil: “Da, res je: eden izmed vas me bo izdal!” 22Učenci so se začudeni spogledali ter so prestrašeni poskušali ugotoviti, na koga misli. 23Pri mizi poleg njega je sedel učenec, ki ga je Jezus ljubil. 24Temu je Peter namignil: “Ti ga vprašaj, na koga misli!” 25Ta se je sklonil k Jezusu in tiho vprašal: “Gospod, kdo izmed nas je ta?” 26Jezus mu je odgovoril: “Tisti je, ki mu bom dal kruh, ki ga zdaj namakam v skledi.” Potem ko je pomočil kruh, ga je dal Judu, sinu Simona Iškarijota. 27Od tega trenutka je satan imel Judo povsem v svoji oblasti. “Pohiti, Juda! Čimprej opravi to, kar nameravaš storiti!” mu je rekel Jezus. 28Nihče drug pri mizi ni razumel, kaj je Jezus mislil s temi besedami. 29Mnogi so menili, da je Jezus poslal Judo, da bi nakupil vse potrebno za praznik, ali pa da bi odnesel nekaj ubogim. On je bil namreč njihov blagajnik. 30Juda je vzel kruh in odhitel v noč.Nova zapoved o ljubezni
31Potem ko jih je Juda zapustil, je Jezus dejal: “Moj čas je prišel; kmalu me bo obsijala Božja slava – in to, kar se bo zgodilo z mano, bo prineslo Bogu neizmerno čast. ▼▼V izvirniku: Zdaj je Sin človekov poveličan in Bog je poveličan v njem.
32Bog mi bo dal svojo slavo in to prav kmalu. 33Dragi moji otroci, kako malo časa je še dotlej, ko vas bom moral zapustiti. Tedaj ne boste mogli priti k meni, tudi če me boste še tako iskali, prav kot sem povedal judovskim voditeljem. 34Zdaj vam dajem novo zapoved – ljubite drug drugega tako kot vas jaz ljubim. 35Po vaši medsebojni ljubezni bo svet spoznal, da ste moji učenci.” (Matej 26,31-35; Marko 14,27-31; Luka 22,31-34)
36Peter ga je tedaj vprašal: “Kam pa greš?” “Tokrat ne moreš iti z menoj,” mu je odgovoril Jezus. “Pozneje boš prišel za menoj!” 37“Zakaj pa ne morem iti s teboj zdaj?” ga je vprašal. “Pripravljen sem umreti zate!” 38Jezus je odgovoril: “Umreti zame? Preden bo petelin jutri zjutraj zapel, boš trikrat zanikal, da me sploh poznaš.”

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
