Samo močni se lahko odpove
1Kako pa je z menoj? Ali nisem svoboden človek? Ali nisem videl Kristusa s svojimi očmi? Ali me ni Gospod poklical, da bi bil njegov glasnik? Dejstvo, da ste vi postali kristjani, dokazuje, da sem delal za Gospoda. 2Drugi lahko trdijo, da nisem Kristusov glasnik, vi pa tega ne morete reči, kajti vi sami ste pečat in potrditev tega! ▼▼V izvirniku: pečat mojega apostolstva ste vi v Gospodu.
3Tiste, ki me kritizirajo, pa bi rad vprašal: 4Ali moji sodelavci in jaz nimamo pravice živeti na stroške cerkve? 5Ali mi ne smemo vzeti s seboj na pot svojih žena, kot to delajo apostoli, Gospodovi bratje, pa tudi Peter? 6Ali samo Barnaba in jaz morava sama služiti svoj vsakdanji kruh? 7Vsak sam lahko odgovori na ta vprašanja. Kateri vojak je dolžan plačevati sam sebe? Ali pa ste kdaj slišali, da je kakšen poljedelec pospravil svojo žetev, pa je ni smel uživati? Tudi ne prepovedujemo pastirju, ki pase ovce in koze, da bi pil njihovo mleko. 8To pa ni tako samo v vsakdanjem življenju; tudi Božja beseda nas uči tako. 9V zakonu, ki ga je Bog dal Mojzesu, piše: “Ne devajte volu nagobčnika, kadar vrši žito!” ▼▼5. Mojzesova 25,4.
Ali je Bog zapovedal to, ker skrbi za vole? 10Nedvomno je mislil na nas! Nas je imel v mislih, ko govori, da vsi, ki orjejo in vršijo žito, lahko pričakujejo, da bodo dobili svoj delež od tega. 11V vaše duše smo posejali duhovno seme – Božjo besedo. Ali je preveč, če pričakujemo kot plačilo hrano in obleko? 12Saj podpirate tudi druge, ki vas učijo in prav je, da delate tako. Ali nismo mi še mnogo bolj upravičeni, da to pričakujemo od vas? Vendar si nismo vzeli te pravice, ampak smo se je odrekli, da nam nihče ne bi mogel očitati: samo zato oznanjujete, ker ste za to plačani. 13Saj dobro veste, da vsi, ki služijo v templju, s tem služijo tudi svoj vsakdanji kruh. Tistim pa, ki žrtvujejo na Božjem oltarju, pripade del živali, ki jo žrtvujejo Gospodu. 14Gospod je prav tako zapovedal: Kdor oznanja radostno sporočilo, naj od tega dela tudi živi. 15Kljub temu pa sem se temu odpovedal in nikoli nisem zahteval od vas niti centa. Tega pa vam ne pišem, ker bi odslej hotel kaj dobiti od vas. Raje umrem od lakote, kot da izgubim to zadovoljstvo, ki ga imam, ko oznanjujem brez plačila. ▼

16Ni moja zasluga, da oznanjujem radostno sporočilo. S tem ne bi mogel prenehati, celo če bi hotel. Če bi storil kaj takega, bi bil zelo nesrečen. Poleg tega pa mi je Bog dal to nalogo. 17Če delam to prostovoljno, bom za to dobil posebno nagrado, če pa ne, potem opravljam samo svojo dolžnost. 18Kakšno pa je v teh okoliščinah moje plačilo? Imam posebno zadovoljstvo in veselje v tem, da oznanjujem radostno sporočilo brez stroškov za kogarkoli in ne da bi se skliceval na svoje pravice. Ali ni že to veliko plačilo? Brez kompromisa v službi za Gospoda
19Svoboden sem torej in od nikogar nisem odvisen. Da bi pridobil čimveč ljudi za Kristusa, sem prostovoljno postal suženj vsem. 20Živim kakor Jud, da bi Jude laže privedel h Kristusu. Tam, kjer poudarjajo, da se je strogo treba držati verskih predpisov, se držim tudi teh, čeprav zame ne veljajo. Tudi te ljudi bi namreč rad pridobil. 21Kadar pa sem med ljudmi, ki se ne ravnajo po nobenih predpisih, se jim prilagodim, da bi jih privedel h Kristusu. To pa ne pomeni, da se ne držim Božjih zapovedi, izpolnjujem namreč Kristusove zapovedi. ▼▼V izvirniku: tistim pa, ki so brez postave, čeprav nisem brez postave Bogu, temveč v postavi Kristusu, da bi pridobil tiste, ki so brez postave.
22Kadar sem pri ljudeh, ki so še slabotni in negotovi v veri, skrbno pazim, da ne bi omajal njihove vere. Kdorkoli že je, se izenačim z njim, da bi mu tako lahko pripovedoval o Kristusu in mu omogočil, da se reši. 23Vse to delam, da bi oznanil radostno sporočilo in da bi se tudi sam razveselil, ko vidim tiste, ki prihajajo h Kristusu. 24Saj vsi veste, da med vsemi tekači, ki tekmujejo na stadionu, samo eden zmaga in dobi zlato medaljo. Tecite tako, da bi dobili medaljo vi! 25Vsak, kdor hoče tekmovati, se podredi strogi disciplini, medtem ko trenira. Atlet se odreče marsičesa, samo da bi zmagal. Toda kako hitro je ta zmaga pozabljena! Mi pa se borimo za nagrado, ki ima neminljivo vrednost. 26Jaz dobro vem, za kaj se borim. Ne tečem proti nekemu negotovemu cilju. Ko se borim, ne udarjam v prazno. 27Z vsemi močmi sem se zavzel za to, da bi zmagal in pri tem se ne oziram na svoje telo. Ono se mora podrediti moji volji. Ne bi namreč želel spodbujati druge k borbi, a da sam ne bi bil pripravljen boriti se, pa bi me morali predčasno izločiti.

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
