1Езекия послал объявить по всему Исраилу и Иудее, и написал письма Ефраиму и Манассе, приглашая их прийти в храм Вечного в Иерусалиме и отметить праздник Освобождения ▼▼ Праздник Освобождения – этот праздник отмечался в память об избавлении иудейского народа под руководством пророка Мусы из Египетского рабства (см. Исх. 12; 13:17-22; 14; Втор. 16:1-8 ).
, установленный Вечным, Богом Исраила. 2Царь, его приближённые и всё собрание в Иерусалиме решили на совете отмечать праздник Освобождения во втором месяце (в середине весны). 3Они не могли отметить его в установленное время, потому что не хватало священнослужителей, которые успели бы освятиться, и народ ещё не собрался в Иерусалиме. 4Это решение понравилось и царю, и всему собранию. 5Они решили объявить по всему Исраилу, от Беэр-Шевы на юге до Дана на севере, чтобы народ шёл в Иерусалим отмечать праздник Освобождения, установленный Вечным, Богом Исраила, потому что его не отмечали всенародно, как было предписано. 6И гонцы с письмами от царя и его приближённых прошли по всему Исраилу и Иудее, возвещая повеления царя: «Народ Исраила, вернитесь к Вечному, Богу Ибрахима, Исхака и Якуба ▼▼ Букв.: «Исраила». Аллах дал Якубу новое имя – Исраил (см. Нач. 32:27-28 ).

9Если вы вернётесь к Вечному, то взявшие в плен ваших родичей и детей пожалеют их, и они вернутся в эту страну, потому что Вечный, ваш Бог, милостив и милосерден ▼
▼ Бог милостив и милосерден – это выражение основано на словах из Таурата (см. Исх. 34:6 ) и является родственным арабскому выражению: «бисмиллях-ир-рахман-ир-рахим», что переводится как: «Во имя Аллаха милостивого и милосердного». В доисламской Аравии христиане государства Набатея использовали похожее выражение, переняв его из иудейской традиции.

Он не отвернёт от вас Своего лица, если вы возвратитесь к Нему».10Гонцы ходили из города в город в землях Ефраима и Манассы, до самых рубежей земли Завулона, но народ лишь насмехался и издевался над ними. 11И всё же, некоторые из родов Ашира, Манассы и Завулона смирили себя и пришли в Иерусалим. 12Да и в Иудее рука Аллаха была на народе, даровав им единомыслие, чтобы им выполнить то, что по слову Вечного велели царь и его приближённые.
Езекия отмечает праздник Пресных хлебов
13Огромная толпа народа собралась в Иерусалиме отмечать праздник Пресных хлебов ▼▼ Праздник Пресных хлебов – этот праздник шёл сразу же за праздником Освобождения и длился семь дней. В эти дни предписывалось есть только пресный хлеб (см. Исх. 12:15-20; 13:3-10; Лев. 23:6-8; Чис. 28:17-25 ).
во втором месяце. 14Они приступили к работе, и разрушили в Иерусалиме жертвенники идолам, и убрали все жертвенники для возжигания им благовоний, и бросили их в долину Кедрон. 15Они закололи жертвенного ягнёнка в четырнадцатый день второго месяца. Священнослужители и левиты, устыдившись, освятились и принесли в храм Вечного всесожжения. 16Они встали на свои обычные места, как предписано Законом пророка Мусы. Священнослужители кропили кровью, которую подавали им левиты. 17Так как многие в толпе не освятились, левитам пришлось закалывать жертвенных ягнят за всех, кто был ритуально нечист и не мог посвятить своего ягнёнка Вечному. 18Большая часть народа, где было много паломников из родов Ефраима, Манассы, Иссахара и Завулона, не очистилась, но ела жертвенное мясо, нарушая предписание. 19Но Езекия помолился за них, сказав: – Пусть простит Вечный, Который благ, всякого, кто расположил своё сердце к поискам Вечного Бога, Бога его предков, даже если он нечист по закону святилища. 20Вечный услышал Езекию и исцелил народ. 21Исраильтяне, которые были в Иерусалиме, отмечали праздник Пресных хлебов семь дней с великой радостью, а левиты и священнослужители каждый день пели хвалебные песни Вечному под звуки музыкальных инструментов. 22Езекия милостиво говорил со всеми левитами, которые обнаружили хорошие познания в службе Вечного. В течение семи дней они ели полагавшуюся им долю, приносили жертвы примирения и открыто признавали свои грехи перед Вечным, Богом их предков. 23Затем всё собрание согласилось праздновать праздник ещё семь дней, так что они радостно праздновали и эти семь дней. 24Ведь царь Иудеи Езекия распорядился выдать собранию тысячу быков и семь тысяч овец и коз, а вельможи дали им тысячу быков и десять тысяч овец и коз. Много священнослужителей подготовилось к священной службе. 25Весь народ Иудеи радовался вместе со священнослужителями, и левитами, и всеми, кто собрался из Исраила, считая и чужеземцев, явившихся из Исраила и живших в Иудее. 26В Иерусалиме царила великая радость, ведь со дней исраильского царя Сулеймана, сына Давуда, в Иерусалиме не бывало ничего подобного. 27Священнослужители и левиты встали благословить народ, и Аллах услышал их, потому что их молитва достигла небес, Его святого жилища.
