2 Chronicles 5:2-14
Chivotul este așezat în Casa Domnului
(1 Regi 8:1-13)
2Atunci Solomon a convocat la Ierusalim bătrânii lui Israel, toate căpeteniile semințiilor și conducătorii de familie ai fiilor lui Israel, ca să mute Chivotul legământului Domnului din Cetatea lui David, adică din Sion. 3Toți bărbații lui Israel s-au adunat la rege cu ocazia sărbătorii din luna a șaptea. 4Când au venit toți bătrânii lui Israel, leviții au ridicat Chivotul. 5Ei au mutat Chivotul, Cortul Întâlnirii și toate obiectele sfinte care erau în Cort. Preoții și leviții le-au mutat. 6Regele Solomon și toată comunitatea lui Israel, care se adunase înaintea lui, erau împreună înaintea Chivotului, jertfind oi și vite, care n-au putut fi nici numărate și nici calculate, din cauza mulțimii lor.7Preoții au adus Chivotul legământului Domnului la locul lui, în sanctuarul interior al Casei, adică în Locul Preasfânt, sub aripile heruvimilor. 8Heruvimii aveau aripile întinse deasupra locului unde se afla Chivotul, astfel că heruvimii acopereau atât Chivotul, cât și drugii acestuia. 9Drugii erau alungiți, astfel încât capetele drugilor de la Chivot să se vadă din fața sanctuarului interior, dar să nu se vadă de afară; ei au rămas acolo până în ziua aceasta. 10În Chivot nu se mai aflau decât cele două table puse acolo de Moise la Horeb, atunci când Domnul a încheiat legământ cu fiii lui Israel, după ce aceștia au ieșit din Egipt.
11Apoi preoții au ieșit din Locul Sfânt (căci toți preoții prezenți se sfințiseră, fără să se mai țină cont de ordinea în care slujește fiecare ceată). 12Toți leviții cântăreți – și anume Asaf, Heman și Iedutun, împreună cu fiii și frații lor – îmbrăcați în in subțire, stăteau în partea de est a altarului cu chimvale, harfe și lire în mâini, împreună cu cei o sută douăzeci de preoți care sunau din trâmbițe. 13Cei ce sunau din trâmbițe s-au alăturat celor ce cântau, ca să-L laude pe Domnul și să-I mulțumească. Ei și-au înălțat glasurile acompaniați de trâmbițe, de chimvale și de celelalte instrumente de cântat, și au lăudat pe Domnul, zicând:
„Căci este bun,
căci în veac ține îndurarea Lui!“.
Atunci un nor a umplut Casa, Casa Domnului. 14Preoții n-au putut să mai stea să slujească din cauza norului, căci gloria Domnului umpluse Casa lui Dumnezeu.

(1 Regi 8:14-21)
1Atunci Solomon a zis: „Domnul a spus că va locui în negură. 2Eu am construit pentru Tine o Casă măreață, un loc unde să stai pe vecie“. 3Apoi regele s-a întors cu fața spre întreaga adunare a lui Israel și a binecuvântat-o. Întreaga adunare a lui Israel stătea în picioare. 4El a zis:„Binecuvântat să fie Domnul, Dumnezeul lui Israel, Care a împlinit prin puterea Sa ceea ce i-a promis tatălui meu, David, zicând: 5«Din ziua în care l-am scos pe poporul Meu din țara Egiptului și până acum, nu am ales nicio cetate din toate semințiile lui Israel în care să-Mi zidesc o Casă pentru Numele Meu și nici nu am ales pe cineva care să fie conducătorul poporului Meu Israel. 6Însă acum, am ales Ierusalimul, pentru ca Numele Meu să fie acolo, și l-am ales pe David, ca să domnească peste poporul Meu Israel». 7Tatăl meu, David, avea în inimă dorința să construiască o Casă pentru Numele Domnului, Dumnezeul lui Israel. 8Dar Domnul i-a zis tatălui meu, David: «Tu te-ai gândit să construiești o Casă Numelui Meu și este bine că te-ai gândit în felul acesta. 9Totuși, nu tu vei construi Casa, ci fiul tău. Acela care ți se va naște, el va construi o Casă Numelui Meu».
10 Domnul a împlinit ceea ce a promis. Eu m-am ridicat în locul tatălui meu, David, m-am așezat pe tronul lui Israel, așa cum a promis Domnul, și am construit Casa pentru Numele Domnului, Dumnezeul lui Israel. 11Am pus acolo Chivotul în care se află Legământul ▼ pe care l-a încheiat Domnul cu fiii lui Israel“.

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
