Wiara albo Prawo Mojżesza
1Niemądrzy Galacjanie! Kto wam tak namieszał w głowach? Przecież dokładnie opowiedziałem wam o znaczeniu śmierci Jezusa Chrystusa! 2Pozwólcie, że zadam wam tylko jedno pytanie: Czy Ducha Świętego otrzymaliście dlatego, że przestrzegaliście Prawa Mojżesza, czy dlatego, że uwierzyliście Jezusowi? 3Chyba straciliście rozum! Rozpoczęliście życie z Bogiem dzięki Duchowi, a chcecie je doskonalić o własnych siłach? 4Czy na próżno tyle wycierpieliście? Chyba rzeczywiście na próżno…5Odpowiedzcie: Czy Bóg dał wam Ducha Świętego i dokonał w was niezwykłych rzeczy dlatego, że przestrzegaliście Prawa, czy też dlatego, że uwierzyliście Mu? 6Przecież tak samo Abraham uwierzył Bogu i na podstawie tej wiary został uniewinniony. 7Zrozumcie więc: prawdziwymi potomkami Abrahama są ci, którzy wierzą Bogu! 8Co więcej, Pismo już wcześniej zapowiedziało, że Bóg przez wiarę zbawi pogan. Dlatego Abraham usłyszał tę dobrą nowinę: „Dzięki tobie będą szczęśliwe wszystkie narody”. 9Tych więc, którzy wierzą Chrystusowi, spotyka to samo szczęście, co wierzącego Abrahama.
10Tych zaś, którzy chcą zdobyć przychylność Boga poprzez przestrzeganie Prawa, spotka Jego gniew. Pismo mówi: „Przeklęty będzie każdy, kto nie przestrzega wszystkiego, co zapisano w Prawie”. 11Oczywiste jest więc to, że nikt nie zostanie uniewinniony przez Boga z powodu przestrzegania Prawa. Napisano bowiem: „Prawy człowiek będzie żył dzięki wierze”. 12Natomiast droga wskazana przez Prawo Mojżesza nie opiera się na wierze, ponieważ naucza, że człowiek będzie żył dzięki przestrzeganiu Prawa.
13Chrystus wykupił nas od przekleństwa płynącego z Prawa. Umierając na drzewie krzyża, wziął to przekleństwo na siebie, ponieważ w Prawie napisane jest: „Przeklęty będzie każdy przestępca, stracony na drzewie”. 14W ten sposób, dzięki śmierci Chrystusa Jezusa, szczęście Abrahama zostało darowane również poganom. Wierząc Jezusowi, otrzymaliśmy więc Ducha Świętego, obiecanego przez Boga.
Prawo i obietnica
15Przyjaciele, użyję przykładu z życia. Nikt nie lekceważy ani nie zmienia podpisanej już umowy, mimo że jest ona zawierana tylko między ludźmi. 16Natomiast Abraham i jego potomek otrzymali obietnicę od Boga. Pismo nie mówi o wielu potomkach, ale o jednym potomku, którym jest Chrystus. 17Wniosek jest taki, że umowa zawarta przez Boga nie może być unieważniona przez Prawo Mojżesza, nadane czterysta trzydzieści lat później. Prawo to nie może też anulować obietnicy. 18Jeżeli musielibyśmy przestrzegać Prawa, aby otrzymać Boży dar, to nie byłby on już właściwie rezultatem Bożej obietnicy. A przecież Abraham doświadczył łaski od Boga wskutek obietnicy.19Jaki był zatem sens nadania Prawa Mojżesza? Zostało ono ustanowione z powodu ludzkich przestępstw i miało funkcjonować do czasu nadejścia Potomka Abrahama, który otrzymał obietnicę. Aniołowie przekazali Prawo Mojżeszowi jako mediatorowi między Bogiem a ludźmi. 20Tam jednak, gdzie istnieje tylko jedna strona, nie potrzeba mediatora. A tak właśnie jest w przypadku Boga, który składa obietnicę.
21Czy to znaczy, że Prawo Mojżesza jest sprzeczne z obietnicą Boga? Skądże! Gdyby ustanowił On Prawo dające ludziom życie, to rzeczywiście dzięki jego przestrzeganiu można byłoby uzyskać uniewinnienie. 22Pismo mówi jednak, że wszyscy ludzie znajdują się w niewoli grzechu, a Boża obietnica dotyczy tylko tych, którzy uwierzyli Jezusowi Chrystusowi.
23Do momentu przyjścia Chrystusa i nadejścia czasu wiary w Niego byliśmy pilnowani przez Prawo Mojżesza i podlegaliśmy mu. 24Prawo to było naszym wychowawcą, prowadzącym nas do Chrystusa, abyśmy uwierzyli Mu i zostali w ten sposób uniewinnieni z grzechów. 25Teraz, gdy nastał czas wiary, nie jesteśmy już pod opieką wychowawcy! 26Uwierzyliście bowiem Chrystusowi i wszyscy staliście się dziećmi Boga! 27Zostaliście zanurzeni w Chrystusa i jest On tak blisko was, jak ubranie, które macie na sobie. 28Nie ma już więc różnicy między Żydem a poganinem, niewolnikiem a człowiekiem wolnym, mężczyzną a kobietą—zjednoczeni w Chrystusie Jezusie wszyscy stanowicie jedność. 29A skoro należycie do Niego, jesteście potomkami Abrahama i zgodnie z obietnicą otrzymujecie dar od Boga.

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
