Isaiah 38
بيماری و شفای حزقيای پادشاه
(دوم پادشاهان 20:1-11؛ دوم تواريخ 32:24-26)
1در آن روزها حزقيا سخت بيمار شد و نزديک بود بميرد. اشعيای نبی (پسر آموص) به عيادتش رفت و از جانب خداوند اين پيغام را به او داد: «وصيتت را بكن، چون عمرت به آخر رسيده است؛ تو از اين مرض شفا نخواهی يافت.» 2حزقيا صورت خود را به طرف ديوار برگردانيد و نزد خداوند دعا كرده، گفت: 3«خداوندا، به خاطر آور چقدر نسبت به تو وفادار و امين بودهام و چطور سعی كردهام مطابق ميل تو رفتار كنم.» سپس بغض گلويش را گرفت و به تلخی گريست. 4پيش از آنكه اشعيا قصر را ترک كند خداوند بار ديگر با او سخن گفت و فرمود: 5«نزد حزقيا رهبر قوم من برگرد و به او بگو كه خداوند، خدای جدت داوود دعای تو را شنيده و اشكهايت را ديده است. او پانزده سال ديگر بر عمر تو خواهد افزود. 6او تو را و اين شهر را از چنگ پادشاه آشور نجات خواهد داد.» 7 ▼▼ This verse is missing in the original text, possibly because in this translation some nearby verses have been joined together.

10 فكر میكردم در بهار عمر خويش زندگی را بدرود خواهم گفت،
و به دنيای مردگان خواهم شتافت.

ديگر هرگز خداوند را نخواهم ديد

12 مانند خيمهٔ شبانان كه پائين میكشند و جمع میكنند،
حيات من فرو میريخت؛
همچون پارچهٔ دستباف كه از دستگاه بافندگی جدا میكنند،

مانند قمری میناليدم.
از بس به آسمان چشم دوخته بودم،

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
