3 Hij heeft de dood verdiend, laat hem levend het dodenrijk in gaan. Hij woont te midden van slechtheid, zijn innerlijk is er vol van.
4 Maar ik weet wat ik moet doen: ik roep naar God, de Here zal mij bevrijden.
5 ʼs Morgens, ʼs middags en ʼs avonds bid en smeek ik, ik stort mijn hart voor Hem uit. Hij luistert naar mij.
6 Hij bevrijdt mijn ziel en geeft mij vrede, ondanks de strijd die om mij heen woedt. Velen keren zich tegen mij.
7 God, de Allerhoogste, zit op de troon en luistert naar mij. Hij zal mijn tegenstanders vernietigen, al die mensen die van God niet willen weten en Hem niet willen kennen.
8 De tegenstander valt de mensen aan met wie hij eerder vrede sloot, hij komt zijn afspraken niet na.
9 Zijn woorden zijn glad en vriendelijk, maar in zijn hart gloeit de wraak. Zijn uitspraken strelen het gehoor, maar in feite zijn het getrokken zwaarden.
10 Breng al uw moeilijkheden bij de Here. Hij zorgt altijd voor u. Hij zal nooit toelaten dat een volgeling van Hem struikelt of valt.
11 O God, ik weet dat U uw tegenstanders zult vernietigen, allen die uit zijn op bloedvergieten en bedriegen. Zij zullen niet oud worden. Maar ik stel heel mijn vertrouwen op U.

Why do only some Bibles have clickable words?
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
What does “~20x” or “Frequency” mean?
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
Why do some words have dropdown next to the frequency number?
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
