Voorbereidingen voor de tabernakel
1Toen riep Mozes alle Israëlieten bijeen en zei: ‘Dit zijn de woorden die de Here tot ons heeft gesproken en waarin Hij ons zijn wetten heeft gegeven die wij moeten gehoorzamen. 2Zes dagen moet er gewerkt worden, maar de zevende dag is een dag van volledige rust, een heilige dag die bestemd is voor de dienst van God. iedere Israëliet moet met een royaal hart de Here een gave geven. Laten alle vaklieden komen en maken wat de Here heeft bevolen: de tabernakel en zijn overkapping, haken, panelen, dwarsbalken, pilaren en voetstukken; de ark met zijn draagstokken, het verzoendeksel en het gordijn voor het Heilige der Heiligen, de tafel met zijn draagstokken, al het toebehoren en de toonbroden; de kandelaar met toebehoren, lampen en lampolie; het reukofferaltaar met zijn draagstokken, de zalfolie en het reukwerk; het gordijn voor de ingang van de tabernakel; het brandofferaltaar met het bijbehorende koperen rooster, de draagstokken en al het toebehoren; het wasvat met zijn voetstuk; de gordijnen van de voorhof, met de pilaren, de voetstukken en het gordijn voor de ingang van de voorhof; de tentpinnen van de tabernakel en de voorhof en de scheerlijnen; de ambtskleding voor de priesters die dienstdoen in de tabernakel: de heilige kleren voor Aäron en zijn zonen, de priesters.’ 20Na die woorden gingen de Israëlieten naar hun tenten terug om hun geschenken klaar te maken. 21Korte tijd later kwamen zij, gedreven door de werking van Gods Geest, met hun gaven van materialen die voor de bouw van de tabernakel, dus al het toebehoren en de kleding van de priesters, konden worden gebruikt. 22Mannen en vrouwen kwamen met een gewillig hart en brachten allerlei gouden voorwerpen; oorringen, neusringen, zegelringen en halssieraden. 23Anderen brachten blauwpurper, roodpurper, scharlaken, fijn linnen, geitenhaar, roodgeverfde ramsvellen en dassenvellen. 24Weer anderen brachten zilver en koper als hun gave voor de Here; sommigen brachten het acaciahout dat nodig was voor het vervaardigen van verschillende voorwerpen. 25De vrouwen die goed konden weven en spinnen, maakten blauwpurper, roodpurper, scharlaken en fijn linnen. 26Andere kundige vrouwen sponnen het geitenhaar. 27De leiders van het volk brachten onyxstenen en andere kostbare stenen voor het priesterkleed en de borsttas, 28en kruiden en olie voor de lampen en voor de zalfolie en het reukwerk. 29Zo bracht het volk—iedere man en vrouw die wilde helpen bij het werk dat de Here hun via Mozes had opgedragen—vrijwillig hun gaven bij Hem. 30 ▼▼ This verse is empty because in this translation its contents have been moved to form part of verse 2.Mos. 35:31.

Mozes zei tegen de Israëlieten: ‘De Here heeft Besaleël—de zoon van Uri en kleinzoon van Chur, uit de stam Juda—aangewezen als leider en uitvoerder van dit grote werk. 32De Here heeft hem de wijsheid en het inzicht gegeven om ontwerpen te maken en ze uit te voeren in goud, zilver en koper, 33het snijden van edelstenen en het zetten ervan en het bewerken van hout. Hij heeft alle capaciteiten voor dit werk. 34De Here heeft hem en Oholiab de mogelijkheden gegeven hun vakmanschap aan anderen door te geven. Oholiab is de zoon van Achisamach, uit de stam Dan. 35De Here heeft hun speciale vaardigheden gegeven, die van juweliers, houtbewerkers en wevers van blauwpurper, roodpurper, scharlaken en fijn linnen. Kortom, zij blinken uit in alle vaardigheden die nodig zijn voor de bouw van de tabernakel en alles wat erbij hoort.’

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
