Sanduku La Agano Laletwa Yerusalemu
(2 Samweli 6:12-22)
1 aBaada ya Daudi kujijengea nyumba zake katika Mji wa Daudi, akatengeneza sehemu kwa ajili ya Sanduku la Mungu, kisha akasimamisha hema kwa ajili yake. 2 bKisha Daudi akasema, “Hakuna mtu yeyote anayeruhusiwa kulibeba Sanduku la Mungu isipokuwa Walawi peke yao, kwa sababu Bwana aliwachagua kulibeba Sanduku la Bwana na kuhudumu mbele zake milele.”3 cDaudi akawakusanya Israeli wote huko Yerusalemu ili kulipandisha Sanduku la Bwana na kulileta hadi kwenye sehemu aliyokuwa ametengeneza kwa ajili yake. 4Kisha Daudi akawakusanya pamoja wazao wa Aroni na Walawi:

Urieli kiongozi na ndugu zake 120,
6Kutoka wazao wa Merari,
Asaya kiongozi na ndugu zake 220.
7Kutoka wazao wa Gershoni, ▼
▼Namna nyingine ya kutaja Gershomu.
Yoeli kiongozi na ndugu zake 130.
8 fKutoka wazao wa Elisafani,
Shemaya kiongozi na ndugu zake 200.
9 gKutoka wazao wa Hebroni,
Elieli kiongozi na ndugu zake 80.
10Kutoka wazao wa Uzieli,
Aminadabu kiongozi na ndugu zake 112.
11 hKisha Daudi akawaita makuhani Sadoki na Abiathari, pamoja na Walawi Urieli, Asaya, Yoeli, Shemaya, Elieli na Aminadabu. 12 iAkawaambia, “Ninyi ndio viongozi wa jamaa za Walawi. Ninyi pamoja na Walawi wenzenu inawapasa mjitakase na kulipandisha Sanduku la Bwana, Mungu wa Israeli hadi mahali ambapo nimetengeneza kwa ajili yake. 13 jIlikuwa ni kwa sababu hii, ninyi Walawi, hamkulipandisha Sanduku la Bwana mara ya kwanza, hata ikasababisha Bwana Mungu wetu kuwaka hasira dhidi yetu. Hatukumuuliza jinsi ya kufanya ili tupate kulileta jinsi alivyoagiza.” 14Kwa hiyo makuhani pamoja na Walawi wakajitakasa ili kulipandisha Sanduku la Bwana, Mungu wa Israeli. 15 kNao Walawi wakalichukua Sanduku la Mungu mabegani mwao wakitumia mipiko, kama vile Mose alivyoamuru sawasawa na neno la Bwana.
16 lDaudi akawaambia viongozi wa Walawi kuwaweka ndugu zao waimbaji ili waimbe nyimbo za shangwe, wakiwa na vyombo vya uimbaji: zeze, vinubi na matoazi.
17 mBasi Walawi wakawaweka Hemani mwana wa Yoeli; kutoka miongoni mwa ndugu zake, Asafu mwana wa Berekia; kutoka miongoni mwa ndugu zao Wamerari, Ethani mwana wa Kushaiya; 18 nhawa ndio waliochaguliwa kuwa wasaidizi wao: Zekaria, Yaazieli, Shemiramothi, Yehieli, Uni, Eliabu, Benaya, Maaseya, Matithia, Elifelehu, Mikneya, pamoja na mabawabu Obed-Edomu na Yehieli.
19 oWaimbaji Hemani, Asafu na Ethani walichaguliwa kupiga matoazi ya shaba; 20Zekaria, Azieli, Shemiramothi, Yehieli, Uni, Eliabu, Maaseya na Benaya walikuwa wapiga zeze kufuatana na sauti ya alamothi, ▼
▼Huenda ni aina ya uimbaji.
21na Matithia, Elifelehu, Mikneya, Obed-Edomu, Yehieli na Azazia walikuwa wapiga vinubi, wakiongozwa kwa kufuata sauti ya sheminithi. ▼▼Huenda ni aina ya uimbaji.
22Kenania kiongozi wa Walawi alikuwa msimamizi wa uimbaji; huu ndio uliokuwa wajibu wake kwa sababu alikuwa stadi katika hilo. 23Berekia na Elikana walikuwa mabawabu kwa ajili ya Sanduku. 24 rShebania, Yoshafati, Nethaneli, Amasai, Zekaria, Benaya na Eliezeri, makuhani, walikuwa wapiga tarumbeta mbele ya Sanduku la Mungu. Obed-Edomu na Yehiya waliwekwa pia kuwa mabawabu wa Sanduku.
25 sBasi Daudi pamoja na wazee wa Israeli na majemadari wa vikosi vya elfu wakaenda ili kulipandisha Sanduku la Agano la Bwana kutoka nyumba ya Obed-Edomu kwa shangwe. 26 tKwa sababu Mungu alikuwa amewasaidia Walawi waliokuwa wanalichukua Sanduku la Agano la Bwana, mafahali saba na kondoo dume saba walitolewa dhabihu. 27Basi Daudi alikuwa amevaa joho la kitani safi, kama walivyokuwa wamevaa Walawi wote waliokuwa wanalichukua lile Sanduku, waimbaji nao walivaa vivyo hivyo, pamoja na Kenania aliyekuwa anaongoza nyimbo za waimbaji. Daudi alivaa pia kisibau cha kitani safi. 28 uHivyo Israeli wote wakalipandisha Sanduku la Agano la Bwana kwa shangwe, wakipiga pembe za kondoo dume, tarumbeta, matoazi, wakipiga zeze na vinubi.
29 vSanduku la Agano la Bwana lilipokuwa linaingia katika Mji wa Daudi, Mikali binti Sauli akachungulia dirishani. Naye alipomwona Mfalme Daudi akicheza na kusherehekea, akamdharau moyoni mwake.

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
