Cântarea de laudă a lui David
(Ps. 18:1-50)
1David I-a dedicat Domnului cuvintele acestei cântări în ziua când Domnul l-a scăpat de toți dușmanii lui și de Saul. 2El a zis:„Domnul este stânca mea,
fortăreața mea și eliberatorul meu!
3Dumnezeu este stânca mea, în Care mă adăpostesc,
scutul meu, puterea care mă eliberează,
locul meu de scăpare, adăpostul și mântuitorul meu!
Tu mă scapi de violență!
4L-am chemat pe Domnul,
Cel demn de laudă,
și am fost eliberat din mâinile dușmanilor mei!
5Căci mă înfășuraseră valurile morții,
mă copleșiseră șuvoaiele distrugerii!
6Legăturile Locuinței Morților mă înconjuraseră,
mă prinseseră lațurile morții.
7Dar în necazul meu L-am chemat pe Domnul,
L-am chemat pe Dumnezeul meu.
El mi-a ascultat glasul, din Templul Său,
și strigătul meu după ajutor a ajuns la urechile Sale.
8Atunci s-a zguduit și s-a cutremurat pământul,
iar temeliile cerurilor s-au zdruncinat,
s-au clătinat, pentru că El Se mâniase.
9Se înălța fum din nările Lui,
iar din gura Lui ieșea un foc mistuitor;
cărbuni aprinși ieșeau din ea.
10A aplecat cerurile și a coborât;
sub picioarele Lui era negură.
11Călărea pe un heruvim și zbura;
plutea pe aripile vântului.
12Așternuse întunericul împrejurul Lui;
grămezile de ape și norii negri erau adăposturile Lui.
13Din strălucirea care se oglindea înaintea Lui ieșeau cărbuni aprinși.
14 Domnul a tunat din ceruri,
Cel Preaînalt Și-a făcut auzit glasul.
15A aruncat săgeți și i-a împrăștiat pe dușmani,
a trimis fulgerul și i-a pus pe fugă.
16La mustrarea Domnului,
la suflarea nărilor Lui,
s-au văzut albiile mării
și s-au descoperit temeliile lumii.
17El S-a întins din înălțime și m-a prins,
m-a scos din apele cele mari,
18m-a scăpat de dușmanul meu cel puternic
și de vrăjmașii mei, căci erau mai tari decât mine.
19Ei m-au înfruntat în ziua necazului meu,
dar Domnul mi-a fost sprijin.
20El m-a eliberat;
m-a salvat pentru că Își găsește plăcerea în mine.
21 Domnul mi-a răsplătit potrivit cu dreptatea mea,
mi-a făcut după curăția mâinilor mele,
22fiindcă am păzit căile Domnului
și nu m-am făcut vinovat față de Dumnezeul meu.
23Căci toate judecățile Lui sunt înaintea mea
și n-am îndepărtat hotărârile Lui de la mine.
24Am fost integru înaintea Lui
și m-am păzit de nelegiuirea mea.
25 Domnul mi-a răsplătit după dreptatea mea,
după curăția mea înaintea ochilor Săi.
26Cu cel credincios Tu Te arăți credincios;
cu omul integru Tu Te dovedești a fi integru.
27Cu cel curat Tu Te arăți curat,
dar cu cel pervertit Te porți după viclenia lui.
28Tu salvezi poporul smerit,
dar cu privirea Ta îi cobori pe cei trufași.
29Tu ești candela mea, Doamne!
Domnul îmi luminează întunericul.
30Cu Tine mă năpustesc asupra năvălitorilor,
cu Dumnezeul meu sar peste zid.
31Cât despre Dumnezeu, calea Lui este desăvârșită;

Domnului este dovedit curat.El este un scut pentru toți cei ce se adăpostesc în El.

33Dumnezeu este cetățuia mea cea tare
și El mi-a făcut desăvârșită calea.
34El mi-a făcut picioarele ca ale cerboaicelor
și m-a așezat pe înălțimi.
35Îmi deprinde mâinile pentru luptă,
astfel încât brațele mele întind arcul de bronz.
36Tu îmi dai scutul mântuirii Tale
și răspunsul Tău mă face mare.
37Tu-mi lărgești calea sub pașii mei,
ca să nu-mi alunece picioarele.
38Îmi urmăresc dușmanii și-i distrug;
nu mă întorc până nu-i nimicesc.
39Îi nimicesc și îi zdrobesc de nu se mai ridică;
ei cad la picioarele mele.
40Tu îmi dai putere să lupt
și-i faci să capituleze pe cei ce se ridică împotriva mea.
41Tu-i faci pe dușmanii mei să fugă dinaintea mea,
și eu îi nimicesc pe cei ce mă urăsc.
42Ei se uită în jur, dar nu este niciun eliberator.
Se uită după Domnul, dar El nu le răspunde.
43Îi pisez la fel de mărunt ca praful pământului.
Îi zdrobesc, îi strivesc ca pe noroiul de pe străzi.
44Tu mă scapi de învinuirile poporului meu;
mă păstrezi căpetenie a națiunilor;
un popor pe care nu-l cunosc îmi slujește.
45Fiii străinului mă lingușesc;
imediat ce mă aud, mă ascultă.
46Fiii străinului îngălbenesc
și ies tremurând din fortărețele lor.
47 Domnul este viu!
Binecuvântată să fie Stânca mea!
Mărit să fie Dumnezeu, Stânca mântuirii mele!
48Dumnezeu este Cel Ce mă răzbună,
Cel Care aduce popoare sub stăpânirea mea,
49Cel Ce mă scapă de dușmanii mei.
Tu mă ridici deasupra celor ce se ridică împotriva mea;
Tu mă scapi de omul violent.
50De aceea Îți voi mulțumi, Doamne, printre națiuni,
și voi cânta spre lauda Numelui Tău!
51El îi face parte regelui Său de mari victorii
și-i arată îndurare unsului Său,
lui David și urmașilor lui pentru totdeauna“.

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
