Menyembuhkan orang pada hari Sabat
1 Ketika berada di Kapernaum, Yesus pergi lagi ke rumah ibadat, dan di situ Ia melihat seorang laki-laki yang cacat tangannya. 2Karena hari itu hari Sabat, musuh-musuh Yesus memperhatikan Dia dengan cermat. Apakah Ia akan menyembuhkan tangan orang itu? Kalau Ia menyembuhkannya, mereka bermaksud menangkap Dia!3Yesus menyuruh orang itu maju dan berdiri di hadapan jemaat. 4Lalu Ia bertanya kepada lawan-lawan-Nya, “Bolehkah orang melakukan perbuatan baik pada hari Sabat? Ataukah hari ini untuk berbuat jahat? Apakah hari ini hari untuk menyelamatkan jiwa orang atau untuk membinasakannya?” Tetapi mereka tidak menjawab. 5Dengan marah Ia memandang orang-orang yang ada di sekeliling-Nya, karena Ia bersedih hati melihat sikap mereka yang acuh tak acuh terhadap kepentingan sesama manusia. Ia berkata kepada orang itu, “Ulurkan tanganmu!” Orang itu mengulurkan tangannya dan seketika itu juga tangannya menjadi sembuh!
6Orang-orang Farisi segera pergi menemui orang-orang Herodian untuk merencanakan untuk membunuh Yesus.
Banyak orang disembuhkan
7– 8Sementara itu Yesus dan murid-murid-Nya menyingkir ke tepi danau. Mereka diikuti oleh rombongan orang banyak yang berasal dari Galilea, Yudea, Yerusalem, Idumea, dari seberang Sungai Yordan dan bahkan dari daerah Tirus dan Sidon. Berita tentang mukjizat-mukjizat-Nya telah tersiar ke mana-mana dan banyak orang datang kepada-Nya.9Ia menyuruh murid-murid-Nya menyediakan sebuah perahu, kalau-kalau Ia terdesak oleh orang-orang itu. 10Karena pada hari itu banyak orang telah disembuhkan, maka banyak sekali orang sakit mengerumuni Yesus dan berusaha menjamah Dia.
11Setiap kali orang-orang yang dirasuk setan melihat Dia, mereka tersungkur di hadapan-Nya sambil menjerit, “Engkaulah Anak Allah!” 12Tetapi dengan tegas Ia melarang mereka mengatakan siapa Dia.
Memilih dua belas murid
13Setelah itu Ia mengajak beberapa orang yang dipilih-Nya untuk menyertai-Nya ke atas bukit dan mereka pun mengikut Dia. 14– 15Kemudian Ia memilih dua belas orang dari antara mereka sebagai pengikut-Nya yang tetap untuk mengabarkan Injil dan mengusir setan. 16– 17– 18– 19 ▼▼The text of verses 16-Mrk 3:19 has been merged.
Inilah nama kedua belas orang yang dipilih-Nya:Simon (yang juga dinamai-Nya “Petrus”),
Yakobus dan Yohanes (anak-anak Zebedeus, tetapi Yesus memanggil mereka “Anak-Anak Guruh”),
Andreas,
Filipus,
Bartolomeus,
Matius,
Tomas,
Yakobus (anak Alfeus),
Tadeus,
Simon (orang Zelot),
Yudas Iskariot (yang kemudian mengkhianati Dia).
Dosa yang kekal
20Ketika Ia kembali ke rumah tempat Ia menginap, orang banyak mulai berkumpul lagi. Segera rumah itu penuh dengan para pengunjung, sehingga Ia tidak sempat makan. 21Waktu kaum keluarga-Nya mendengar apa yang sedang terjadi, mereka berusaha membawa Dia pulang.“Ia telah kehilangan akal,” kata mereka.
22Tetapi para ahli agama Yahudi yang telah datang dari Yerusalem mengatakan, “Ia dikuasai oleh Iblis, ▼

raja segala roh jahat. Itulah sebabnya roh-roh jahat patuh kepada-Nya.” 23Yesus memanggil orang-orang itu dan bertanya kepada mereka dengan menggunakan perumpamaan yang mereka pahami. “Bagaimana mungkin Iblis dapat mengusir Iblis? 24Kerajaan yang terpecah-pecah akan runtuh. 25Rumah tangga yang penuh dengan pertengkaran dan perpecahan akan hancur. 26Dan jikalau Iblis bertempur melawan dirinya sendiri, bagaimana ia dapat bertahan? 27Seseorang yang masuk ke rumah orang yang lebih kuat, tidak akan dapat mengambil miliknya, tanpa terlebih dahulu mengikat orang yang lebih kuat itu. Setelah diikat, barulah seluruh miliknya dapat diambil.
28“Dengan tegas Kunyatakan bahwa setiap dosa yang dilakukan manusia, bahkan hujat terhadap Aku sekalipun, dapat diampunkan. 29Tetapi hujat terhadap Roh Kudus adalah dosa kekal yang tidak dapat diampunkan.”
30Ia berkata demikian, karena mereka mengatakan bahwa Ia melakukan mukjizat-mukjizat-Nya dengan kuasa Iblis. (Mereka tidak mau mengakui bahwa Ia melakukannya dengan kuasa Roh Kudus.)
Ibu dan saudara-saudara Yesus
31– 32Lalu ibu dan saudara-saudara-Nya datang ke rumah yang penuh sesak itu. Mereka menyuruh orang memanggil Dia ke luar untuk berbicara dengan mereka. “Ibu dan saudara-saudara Guru ada di luar. Mereka ingin bertemu dengan Guru,” kata seseorang kepada-Nya.33Ia menjawab, “Siapakah ibu-Ku? Siapakah saudara-saudara-Ku?” 34Sambil memandang kepada orang-orang di sekeliling-Nya, Ia berkata, “Inilah ibu-Ku dan saudara-saudara-Ku! 35Setiap orang yang melakukan kehendak Allah ialah saudara-Ku dan ibu-Ku.”

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
