Ärgernisse. Strafe der Unbarmherzigkeit.
1Zur selben Stunde kamen die Jünger zu Jesus und sagten: Wer ist wohl der Größte im Reiche der Himmel? 2Und Jesus rief eine Kindlein zu Sich und stellte es in ihre Mitte, 3Und sprach: Wahrlich, Ich sage euch: Wenn ihr nicht umkehret ▼▼euch umwendet
und werdet wie die Kindlein, so werdet ihr mitnichten in das Reich der Himmel kommen. 4Wer nun sich selbst erniedrigt, wie dieses Kindlein, der ist der Größte ▼▼größere
im Reich der Himmel; 5Und wer aufnimmt ein solches Kindlein in Meinem Namen, der nimmt Mich auf. 6Wer aber ärgert einen dieser Kleinen, die an Mich glauben, dem wäre zuträglicher, daß ein Eselsmühlstein an seinen Hals gehängt und er versenkt würde in des Meeres Tiefe. 7Wehe der Welt, der Ärgernisse halben. Es ist wohl notwendig, daß Ärgernisse kommen; aber wehe demselbigen Menschen, durch den das Ärgernis kommt. 8Ärgert dich aber deine Hand, oder dein Fuß, so haue sie ab und wirf sie von dir; es ist dir besser ▼▼schön
, lahm oder ein Krüppel zum Leben einzugehen, als daß du zwei Hände oder zwei Füße habest und werdest ins ewige Feuer geworfen. 9Und so dein Auge dich ärgert, reiß es aus und wirf es von dir: es ist dir besser ▼▼schön

des Feuers geworfen. 10Sehet zu, daß ihr nicht einen dieser Kleinen verachtet; denn Ich sage euch, ihre Engel schauen allezeit in den Himmeln das Angesicht Meines Vaters in den Himmeln. 11Denn des Menschen Sohn ist gekommen, das Verlorene zu retten. 12Was meint ihr? Wenn ein Mensch hundert Schafe hätte, und eines davon geht irre, würde er nicht die neunundneunzig auf den Bergen lassen und hingehen und suchen, das da irre gegangen ist? 13Und wenn es sich begibt, daß er dasselbe findet, wahrlich, Ich sage euch: er freut sich über demselben mehr, als über die neunundneunzig, die nicht irre gegangen sind. 14So ist es nicht der Wille vor eurem Vater in den Himmeln, daß eines dieser Kleinen verloren werde. 15Sündigt aber dein Bruder gegen dich, so gehe hin und rüge ihn zwischen dir und ihm allein. Hört er auf dich, so hast du deinen Bruder gewonnen. 16Hört er aber nicht auf dich, so nimm noch einen oder zwei mit dir, auf daß die ganze Rede auf zweier oder dreier Zeugen Mund bestehe. 17Hört er aber auch sie nicht, so sage es der Gemeinde. Hört er aber auch auf die Gemeinde nicht, so sei er dir wie der Heide und der Zöllner. 18Wahrlich, Ich sage euch: Was ihr auf Erden binden werdet, das soll im Himmel gebunden sein, und was ihr auf Erden lösen werdet, soll auch im Himmel gelöst sein. 19Wiederum sage Ich euch: Wenn zwei von euch auf Erden übereinstimmen über irgendeine Sache, um was sie bitten, so soll es ihnen geschehen von Meinem Vater in den Himmeln. 20Denn wo zwei oder drei versammelt sind in Meinem Namen, da bin Ich mitten unter ihnen. 21Da kam Petrus zu Ihm und sprach: Wie oft mag mein Bruder wider mich sündigen, und ich ihm vergeben? Bis zu sieben Mal? 22Spricht zu ihm Jesus: Ich sage dir, nicht bis zu sieben Mal, sondern bis zu siebzig mal sieben. 23Darum ist das Reich der Himmel gleich einem Menschen, einem Könige, der mit seinen Knechten Rechnung abhalten wollte. 24Da er aber anfing abzurechnen, ward einer vor ihn gebracht, ein Schuldner von zehntausend Talenten. 25Da er aber nicht hatte, zu bezahlen, befahl sein Herr, ihn und sein Weib und die Kinder und alles, das er hatte, zu verkaufen und zu bezahlen. 26Da fiel denn der Knecht nieder, betete ihn an und sprach: Herr, habe Langmut mit mir, und ich will dir alles bezahlen. 27Da jammerte es aber den Herrn desselbigen Knechts, und er gab ihn los und vergab ihm das Anlehen. 28Wie aber dieser Knecht hinauskam, fand er einen seiner Mitknechte, der ihm hundert Denare schuldete; und er ergriff ihn, würgte ihn und sprach: Bezahle mir, was du mir schuldig bist. 29Der Mitknecht fiel denn nieder, flehte ihn an und sprach: Habe Langmut mit mir, und ich will dir alles bezahlen. 30Er aber wollte nicht, sondern ging hin und warf ihn ins Gefängnis, bis daß er bezahlete, was er schuldig war. 31Da aber seine Mitknechte sahen, was geschehen war, wurden sie sehr betrübt, und sie gingen und berichteten ihrem Herrn alles, was geschehen war. 32Da rief ihn sein Herr zu sich und sprach zu ihm: Du schlechter Knecht, ich habe dir alle jene Schuld vergeben, weil du mich anflehtest; 33Hättest du nicht auch Erbarmen mit deinem Mitknechte haben sollen, wie auch ich mich deiner erbarmte? 34Und sein Herr ward zornig und überantwortete ihn den Peinigern ▼▼Quäler
, bis daß er alles bezahlete, was er ihm schuldete. 35So wird auch Mein himmlischer ▼▼überhimmlischer
Vater euch tun, wenn ihr nicht vergebet von eurem Herzen ein jeglicher seinem Bruder seine Fehler.

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
