Der ungerechte Haushalter. - Der reiche Mann.
1Er sprach aber auch zu Seinen Jüngern: Es war ein reicher Mensch, der hatte einen Haushalter; der ward vor ihm bezichtigt, daß er seine Habe verschleudere ▼▼zerstreue
. 2Und er rief ihn und sprach zu ihm: Wie ist es, daß ich dieses von dir höre? Gib Rech- nung von deiner Haushaltung, denn du kannst nicht mehr haushalten. 3Der Haushalter aber sprach bei sich: Was soll ich tun? Mein Herr nimmt mir die Haushaltung ab. Zu graben vermag ich nicht, zu betteln schäme ich mich. 4Ich weiß ▼▼erkenne
, was ich tue, wenn ich vom Haushalt abtreten muß, auf daß sie mich in ihre Häuser aufnehmen. 5Und er rief einen jeglichen der Schuldleute seines Herrn zu sich und sprach zu dem ersten: Wieviel schuldest du meinem Herrn? 6Er aber sprach: Hundert Bath Öl. Und er sprach zu ihm: Nimm deinen Brief und setze dich und schreibe schnell fünfzig. 7Danach sprach er zu einem andern: Aber du, wieviel bist du schuldig? Dieser aber sagte: Hundert Kor Weizen. Und er sprach zu ihm: Nimm deinen Brief und schreibe achtzig. 8Und der Herr lobte den ungerechten Haushalter, daß er klüglich getan habe; denn die Söhne dieses Zeitlaufes sind klüger, als die Söhne des Lichts in ihrem Geschlechte. 9Und Ich sage auch euch: Machet euch Freunde mit dem Mammon der Ungerechtigkeit, auf daß, wenn es mit euch zu Ende geht, sie euch aufnehmen in die ewigen Hütten ▼▼Zelte
. 10Wer im Geringsten treu ist, ist auch in vielem treu; und wer im Geringsten ungerecht ist, ist auch in vielem ungerecht. 11So ihr nun in dem ungerechten Mammon nicht treu waret, wer wird euch das Wahre anvertrauen? 12Und so ihr in dem Fremden nicht treu waret, wer wird euch das Eure geben? 13Kein Hausknecht kann zwei Herren dienen; denn entweder wird er den einen hassen und den andern lieben; oder dem einen anhangen und den andern verachten. Ihr könnt nicht Gott und dem Mammon dienen. 14Es hörten aber solches alles auch die Pharisäer, die geldsüchtig waren, und sie spotteten Ihn aus. 15Und Er sprach zu ihnen: Ihr seid es, die sich rechtfertigen vor den Menschen; Gott aber erkennt eure Herzen; denn was hoch ist unter Menschen, ist ein Greuel vor Gott. 16Das Gesetz und die Propheten waren bis auf Johannes; von da an wird das Reich Gottes verkündigt, und jeder dringt mit Gewalt hinein. 17Es ist aber leichter, daß Himmel und Erde vergehen, denn daß ein Strichlein vom Gesetz fiele. 18Jeder, der sich von seinem Weibe scheidet und eine andere freit, bricht die Ehe, und jeder, der eine vom Mann Geschiedene freit, bricht die Ehe. 19Es war aber ein reicher Mensch, und er kleidete sich in Purpur und Byssus, lebte alle Tage fröhlich und glänzend. 20Es war aber ein Armer, mit Namen Lazarus, der war voller Schwären vor sein Tor hingeworfen. 21Und er begehrte sich zu sättigen von den Brosamen, die von des Reichen Tische fielen; doch kamen auch die Hunde, die seine Schwären beleckten. 22Und es geschah, daß der Arme starb und von den Engeln in Abrahams Schoß ▼▼Busen
hingetragen ward. Der Reiche aber starb auch und ward begraben. 23Und er hob seine Augen auf in der Hölle, da er in Qualen war, sah Abraham von weitem und Lazarus in seinem Schoß ▼▼Busen
. 24Und er rief und sprach: Vater Abraham, erbarme dich mein, und schicke Lazarus, daß er die Spitze seines Fingers in Wasser tauche und mir die Zunge abkühle; denn ich leide Pein in dieser Flamme. 25Abraham aber sprach: Gedenke, Kind, du hast dein Gutes in deinem Leben emp- fangen, und Lazarus dagegen Böses. Nun aber wird er getröstet, du aber gepeinigt. 26Und über alles dies ist eine große Kluft befestigt, zwischen uns und euch, so daß die, so wollten von hinnen zu euch hinübergehen, nicht können, und auch nicht die von dannen zu uns herüberkommen. 27Er aber sprach: So bitte ▼▼frage
ich dich nun, Vater, du wollest ihn in meines Vaters Haus schicken. 28Denn ich habe fünf Brüder; auf daß er es ihnen ernstlich bezeuge, damit sie nicht auch kommen an diesen Ort der Qual. 29Spricht zu ihm Abraham: Sie haben Moses und die Propheten. Auf die sollen sie hören. 30Er aber sprach: Nein, Vater Abraham. Aber wenn einer von den Toten zu ihnen hinginge, da werden sie Buße tun. 31Er aber sprach zu ihm: Wenn sie auf Moses und die Propheten nicht hören, so werden sie sich auch nicht überzeugen lassen, wenn einer von den Toten aufersteht.

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
