پسران هارون
1زمانی كه خداوند در كوه سينا با موسی صحبت كرد، 2هارون چهار پسر به نامهای ناداب (پسر ارشد)، ابيهو، العازار و ايتامار داشت. 3هر چهار نفر ايشان برای خدمت كاهنی انتخاب و تقديس ▼▼ «تقديس» يعنی جدا کردن، اختصاص دادن و مقدس ساختن.
شدند تا در خيمهٔ عبادت خدمت كنند. 4ولی ناداب و ابيهو به علت استفاده از آتش غير مجاز در حضور خداوند، در صحرای سينا مردند و چون فرزندی نداشتند، فقط العازار و ايتامار باقی ماندند تا پدرشان هارون را در خدمت كاهنی ياری كنند. لاويان برای خدمت به كاهنان تعيين می‌شوند

ايشان بايد از دستورات او پيروی نموده، به جای تمام قوم اسرائيل خدمات مقدس خيمهٔ عبادت را انجام دهند، زيرا ايشان به نمايندگی همهٔ بنی‌اسرائيل تعيين شده‌اند تا زير نظر هارون خدمت كنند. مسئوليت نگهداری خيمهٔ عبادت و تمام اسباب و اثاثيه آن بر عهدهٔ ايشان است. 10ولی فقط هارون و پسرانش بايد وظايف كاهنی را انجام دهند؛ هر کس ديگری كه بخواهد اين كار را انجام دهد بايد كشته شود.» 11 ▼▼ This verse is empty because in this translation its contents have been moved to form part of verse اعداد 3:12.

خداوند به موسی فرمود: «من لاویان را به جای تمام پسران ارشد قوم اسرائيل پذيرفته‌ام. لاویان از آن من هستند. 13اينها به عوض تمام پسران ارشد بنی‌اسرائيل وقف من شده‌اند. از روزی كه پسران ارشد مصری‌ها را كشتم، نخست‌زاده‌های بنی‌اسرائيل را، چه انسان و چه حيوان، از آن خود ساختم، پس آنها به من تعلق دارند. من خداوند هستم.» تعداد و وظايف لاويان

وظيفهٔ اين دو طايفه عبارت بود از: مراقبت از چوب‌بست خيمهٔ عبادت، پشت‌بندها، ستونها، پايه‌های ستونها، و تمام لوازم بر پا سازی آن و انجام كارهای مربوط به آنها، و همچنين مواظبت از ستونهای گرداگرد حياط و پايه‌ها و ميخها و طنابها. 38خيمهٔ موسی و هارون و پسرانش می‌بايست در سمت شرقی خيمهٔ عبادت، يعنی جلو آن و رو به آفتاب بر پا شود. ايشان به جای قوم اسرائيل وظيفهٔ مراقبت از خيمهٔ عبادت را بر عهده داشتند. (هر كس كه كاهن يا لاوی نبود و وارد خيمهٔ عبادت می‌گرديد كشته می‌شد.) 39پس تعداد همهٔ پسران و مردان لاوی كه موسی و هارون طبق دستور خداوند ايشان را شمردند، از يک ماهه به بالا ۲۲ هزار نفر بود. 40سپس خداوند به موسی فرمود: «حالا تمام پسران ارشد بنی‌اسرائيل را از يک ماهه به بالا بشمار و نام هر يک از آنها را ثبت كن. 41لاویان به عوض پسران ارشد بنی‌اسرائيل به من كه خداوند هستم تعلق دارند، و حيوانات لاویان هم به جای نخست‌زاده‌های حيوانات تمام قوم اسرائيل از آن من هستند.» 42پس موسی همانطور كه خداوند به او دستور داده بود، پسران ارشد بنی‌اسرائيل را شمرد 43و تعداد كل پسران ارشد از يک ماهه به بالا ۲۲,۲۷۳ نفر بود. 44خداوند به موسی فرمود: 45«حال لاویان را به عوض پسران ارشد قوم اسرائيل و حيوانات ايشان را به جای نخست‌زاده‌های حيوانات بنی‌اسرائيل به من بده. آری، من خداوند هستم و لاویان از آن من می‌باشند. 46به منظور بازخريد ۲۷۳ نفر از پسران ارشد اسرائيل كه اضافه بر تعداد لاویان هستند 47 ▼▼ This verse is empty because in this translation its contents have been moved to form part of verse اعداد 3:48.

(بقيه پسران ارشد از پرداخت مبلغ بازخريد معاف بودند، چون لاویان به عوض ايشان وقف خداوند شده بودند.) 50كل مبلغ بازخريد معادل ۱,۳۶۵ مثقال نقره بود. 51موسی طبق دستور خداوند، آن را به هارون و پسرانش تحويل داد.

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
