1Aga sündis, kui rahvas tema juure tungis Jumala sõna kuulama ja Ta seisis Gennesareti järve ääres, 2et Ta nägi kaht paati järve rannas seisvat; aga kalamehed olid neist väljunud ja loputasid võrke. 3Tema astus ühte paati, mis oli Siimona oma, ja palus teda natuke maad rannast eemale sõuda. Siis Ta istus maha ja õpetas rahvast paadist. 4Aga kui Ta lakkas kõnelemast, ütles Ta Siimonale: "Sõua sügavale kohale ja heitke oma võrgud välja loomuse katseks!" 5Siimon vastas ning ütles Temale: "Õpetaja, me oleme kogu öö rühelnud ega ole ühtki saanud, aga Sinu sõna peale ma heidan võrgud välja!" 6Ja kui nad seda tegid, said nad suure hulga kalu; ja nende võrgud rebenesid. 7Ja nad viipasid oma kaaslastele teises paadis, et nad tuleksid ja neid aitaksid. Ja nad tulid ja täitsid mõlemad paadid nõnda, et need olid vajumas. 8Seda nähes heitis Siimon Peetrus maha Jeesuse põlvede ette ning ütles: "Issand, mine minu juurest ära, sest ma olen patune inimene!" 9Sest kohkumine oli vallanud teda ja kõiki, kes temaga olid, kalasaagi pärast, mis nad olid saanud; 10nõndasamuti ka Jakoobust ja Johannest, Sebedeuse poegi, kes olid Siimona kaaslased. Ja Jeesus ütles Siimonale: "Ära karda, nüüdsest alates pead sa inimesi püüdma!" 11Ja nad vedasid paadid maale ja jätsid kõik maha ja järgisid Teda. 12Ja kui Ta viibis ühes linnas, vaata, siis oli seal mees täis pidalitõbe. Kui ta Jeesust nägi, heitis ta silmili maha, palus Teda ning ütles: "Issand, kui Sa tahad, võid Sa mind puhtaks teha!" 13Ja Ta sirutas oma käe ja puudutas teda ning ütles: "Ma tahan, saa puhtaks!" Ja sedamaid lahkus pidalitõbi temast. 14Ja Tema keelas teda seda kellelegi ütlemast "Mine vaid" - ütles Ta - "ja näita ennast preestrile ja ohverda oma puhastuse eest, nõnda nagu Mooses on seadnud neile tunnistuseks!" 15Aga sõnum temast levis laiemale, ja palju rahvast tuli kokku teda kuulama ja temalt tervist saama tõbedest. 16Aga Tema läks kõrvale tühjadesse paikadesse ja palvetas seal. 17Ja ühel päeval, kui Ta õpetas, oli seal istumas varisere ja käsutundjaid, kes olid tulnud kõigist Galilea ja Judea küladest ja Jeruusalemast; ja Issanda vägi oli seal selleks, et Jeesus terveks teeks. 18Ja vaata, mehed tõid voodiga inimese, kes oli halvatud; ja nad püüdsid teda sisse viia ja Tema ette panna. 19Ja kui nad rahva pärast ei leidnud, kust nad ta oleksid saanud sisse viia, läksid nad üles katusele ja lasksid ta katuse kivide vahelt alla kõige voodiga otse Jeesuse ette maha. 20Kui Tema nende usku nägi, ütles Ta: "Inimene, sinu patud on sulle andeks antud!" 21Siis kirjatundjad ja variserid hakkasid mõtlema ning ütlesid: "Kes see on, kes nõnda Jumalat pilgates räägib? Kes muu võib patte andeks anda kui üksnes Jumal?" 22Aga Jeesus tundis ära nende mõtlemised ja kostust andes Ta ütles neile: "Mida te mõtlete oma südames? 23Kumb on hõlpsam ütelda: Su patud on sulle andeks antud, või ütelda: Tõuse üles ja kõnni? 24Aga et te teaksite, et Inimese Pojal on meelevald patte andeks anda," - siis ütles Ta halvatule: "Ma ütlen sulle, tõuse üles ja võta oma voodi ning mine koju!" 25Ja sedamaid tõusis ta nende nähes üles, võttis oma voodi, millel ta oli lamanud, ja läks koju Jumalale au andes. 26Ja hämmastus valdas kõiki, ja nad andsid Jumalale au ja said täis kartust ning ütlesid: "Me oleme täna näinud imelisi asju!" 27Pärast seda Ta läks välja ja nägi tölnerit, Leevi nimi, tollihoones istuvat ja ütles temale: "Järgi Mind!" 28Ja ta jättis kõik maha, tõusis ja järgis Teda. 29Ja Leevi tegi Temale suure võõruspidu oma majas, ja suur hulk tölnereid ja teisi oli ühes nendega lauas istumas. 30Siis variserid ja nende kirjatundjad nurisesid tema jüngrite vastu ning ütlesid: "Miks te sööte ja joote ühes tölnerite ja patustega?" 31Ja Jeesus vastas neile ning ütles: "Ei ole arsti vaja tervetele, ainult haigetele! 32Ma ei ole tulnud õigeid kutsuma meeleparandusele, vaid patuseid!" 33Aga nemad ütlesid Temale: "Johannese jüngrid paastuvad sagedasti ja peavad palveid, samuti variseridegi omad, aga Sinu jüngrid söövad ja joovad!" 34Jeesus ütles neile: "Kas te võite peiupoisse panna paastuma sel ajal, kui peigmees on nende juures? 35Ent päevad tulevad, mil peigmees võetakse neilt ära; siis nad paastuvad neil päevil!" 36Aga Ta ütles neile ka tähendamissõna: "Ükski ei lõika paika uue kuue küljest ega pane seda vana kuue peale, muidu ta lõikab katki ka uue kuue, ja pealegi ei sobi vanale kuuele paik uue küljest. 37Ka ei pane keegi värsket viina vanusse nahklähkreisse, muidu värske viin ratkub lähkrid ja ta jookseb maha ning lähkrid lähevad rikki; 38 vaid värske viin tuleb panna uutesse nahklähkritesse, 39siis keegi, kes joob vana, ei himusta värsket, vaid ütleb: Vana on maitsev!"

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
