‏ Hosea 6

Israel and Judah Are Unrepentant

1Come, let us areturn to the Lord;
for bhe has torn us, that he may heal us;
he has struck us down, and che will bind us up.
2After two days dhe will revive us;
on the third day he will raise us up,
that we may live before him.
3 eLet us know; flet us press on to know the Lord;

he will come to us has the showers,
ias the spring rains that water the earth.”

I have slain them oby the words of my mouth,
and my judgment goes forth as the light.

Septuagint mercy
and not sacrifice,
rthe knowledge of God rather than burnt offerings.
7But slike Adam they ttransgressed the covenant;
uthere they dealt faithlessly with me.
8 vGilead is a city of evildoers,
wtracked with blood.
9As robbers xlie in wait for a man,
so the priests band together;
they murder on the way to yShechem;
they commit villainy.
10In the house of Israel I have seen a horrible thing;
zEphraim’s whoredom is there; aaIsrael is defiled.
11For you also, O abJudah, aca harvest is appointed.
When adI restore the fortunes of my people,
