8Když Pilát uslyšel toto slovo, ulekl se ještě více. 9Vešel znovu do vládního paláce a řekl Ježíšovi: „Odkud jsi?“ Ježíš mu však nedal žádnou odpověď. 10Pilát mu tedy řekl: „Nemluvíš se mnou? Nevíš, že mám pravomoc tě propustit, a že mám pravomoc tě ukřižovat?“ 11Ježíš [mu] odpověděl: „Neměl bys nade ▼▼ř.: proti mně

kdyby ti to nebylo dáno shůry. Proto ten, kdo mě tobě vydal, ▼▼18,33; Sk 3,13

si nesl kříž a vyšel na místo zvané Místo lebky, které se hebrejsky nazývá Golgota. 18Tam ho ukřižovali a s ním jiné dva po obou stranách; Ježíše uprostřed. 19Pilát napsal a upevnil na kříž také nápis, ▼▼se jménem a proviněním odsouzence
na kterém bylo napsáno: 'Ježíš Nazaretský ▼▼ř.: Nazorejský
-- král Židů'. 20Ten nápis četlo mnoho Židů, protože místo, kde byl Ježíš ukřižován, bylo blízko města; nápis byl napsán hebrejsky, latinsky a řecky. 21Židovští velekněží říkali Pilátovi: „Nepiš 'král Židů', nýbrž 'on řekl: Jsem král Židů.'“ 22Pilát odpověděl: „Co jsem napsal, napsal jsem.“ 23Vojáci pak, když Ježíše ukřižovali, vzali jeho šaty a ⌈rozdělili je na⌉ ▼▼ř.: učinili
čtyři díly, každému vojákovi jeden díl. Vzali i košili. ▼▼spodní oděv; Mt 5,40p
Byla to košile nesešívaná, odshora vcelku utkaná. 24Řekli si: „Netrhejme ji, ale losujme o ni, čí bude.“ To aby se naplnilo Písmo, [které praví]: 'Rozdělili si mé šaty a o můj oděv metali los.' ▼▼Ž 22,18

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
