Zachránění na Maltě

3Když Pavel nasbíral něco chrastí a přiložil na oheň, vylezla před teplem zmije a pověsila se mu na ruku. 4Když domorodci uviděli, že mu zvíře visí na ruce, říkali si mezi sebou: „Tento člověk je jistě vrah. I když se zachránil z moře, Spravedlnost ▼▼[je dosti prav., že domorodci měli na mysli bohyni spravedlnosti, proto velké písmeno]

8I stalo se, že Publiův otec ležel a byl sužován horečkou ▼▼Mk 1,30

10Ti nás také zahrnuli mnohými projevy úcty, a když jsme vyplouvali, naložili nám věci pro naši potřebu. 11Pavel přichází do Říma
Po třech měsících ▼▼[museli zde zůstat do začátku sezony, tj. konec února / zač. března]
jsme vypluli na alexandrijské ▼▼27,6

dní. A tak jsme přišli do Říma. 15Když o nás tamní bratři uslyšeli, přišli nám naproti až k Appiovu tržišti ▼▼[Forum Appium, městečko 71 km J od Říma; zastávka cestujících po Via Appia, známá svou nevázaností]
a ke Třem hospodám. ▼▼[Tres Tabernae, 55 km J od Říma. (Výraz hospoda označoval jakýkoliv druh obchodu — „krám“.)]
Jakmile je Pavel uviděl, vzdal díky ▼▼Fp 1,3

19Protože však tomu Židé odporovali, byl jsem nucen odvolat se k císaři, ▼▼25,11
ale ne proto, že bych měl nějakou žalobu na svůj národ. 20Z toho důvodu jsem vás pozval, abych vás uviděl a promluvil s vámi, neboť pro naději ▼▼23,6; 26,6
Izraele nosím tento řetěz.“ ▼▼21,33
21Ale oni mu řekli: „My jsme o tobě z Judska nedostali ani psaní, ani nám o tobě nikdo z bratrů nepřišel podat zprávu nebo povědět něco špatného. 22Rádi bychom však od tebe slyšeli, jaké je tvé smýšlení, neboť o této straně ▼▼5,17; ř.: herezi; 24,5.14
je nám známo, že jí všude ▼▼17,6
odporují.“ 23Určili mu tedy den a přišli k němu do jeho bytu ve větším počtu. Vykládal jim a dosvědčoval ▼▼18,5!

otcům skrze proroka Izaiáše: 26'Jdi k tomuto lidu a řekni: Vskutku uslyšíte, a jistě nepochopíte, ustavičně budete hledět, a určitě neuvidíte. 27Neboť srdce tohoto lidu otupělo, ▼▼ř.: ztučnělo

How do I do a word study?
- What information can I find about a word?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
