(2 Cronicl 33:1-20) 1Un deg dwy flwydd oed oedd Manasse pan ddaeth yn frenin, a bu'n frenin yn Jerwsalem am bum deg pump o flynyddoedd. Enw ei fam oedd Hefftsiba. 2Gwnaeth bethau drwg iawn yng ngolwg yr Arglwydd, pethau cwbl ffiaidd, fel y bobloedd roedd yr Arglwydd wedi eu gyrru allan o'r wlad o flaen Israel. 3Roedd wedi ailgodi'r allorau lleol gafodd eu dinistrio gan ei dad, Heseceia. Cododd allorau i Baal a polion i'r dduwies Ashera, fel roedd y brenin Ahab wedi gwneud yn Israel. Roedd yn plygu i lawr i'r sêr ac yn eu haddoli nhw. 4Dyma fe hyd yn oed yn adeiladu allorau paganaidd yn y deml – yn y lle'r roedd Arglwydd wedi dweud amdano, “Dw i am osod fy enw yn Jerwsalem.” 5Cododd allorau i'r sêr yn y ddwy iard yn y deml. 6Llosgodd ei fab yn aberth, ac roedd yn ymarfer dewiniaeth ac yn darogan. Roedd yn ymhél ag ysbrydion a pobl oedd yn siarad â'r meirw. Gwnaeth lawer iawn o bethau drwg yng ngolwg yr Arglwydd, a'i bryfocio. 7Roedd hyd yn oed wedi gwneud delw o'r dduwies Ashera a'i gosod yn y deml! – y lle roedd yr Arglwydd wedi dweud wrth Dafydd a'i fab Solomon amdano, “Dw i wedi dewis Jerwsalem o blith llwythau Israel i gyd, a bydda i'n byw yn y deml yma am byth. 8Wna i ddim gyrru Israel allan o'r tir dw i wedi ei roi i'w hynafiaid, cyn belled â'u bod nhw'n gofalu gwneud beth dw i'n ei orchymyn iddyn nhw, sef cadw'r Gyfraith wnaeth fy ngwas Moses ei rhoi iddyn nhw.” 9Ond wnaethon nhw ddim gwrando. Ac roedd Manasse'n eu harwain nhw i wneud mwy o ddrwg na'r bobloedd roedd yr Arglwydd wedi eu gyrru allan o flaen Israel! 10Felly dyma'r Arglwydd yn dweud drwy ei broffwydi: 11“Mae Manasse, brenin Jwda wedi gwneud pethau ffiaidd, ac wedi pechu'n waeth na'r Amoriaid oedd o'i flaen. Mae wedi gwneud i bobl Jwda bechu hefyd, drwy addoli ei eilunod ffiaidd. 12Felly dyma mae'r Arglwydd, Duw Israel, yn ei ddweud: Dw i'n mynd i ddod â dinistr ar Jerwsalem a Jwda. Bydd pawb fydd yn clywed am y peth yn geg agored. 13Dw i'n mynd i wneud i Jerwsalem beth wnes i i Samaria ac i linach Ahab. Bydda i'n sychu Jerwsalem yn lân fel mae rhywun yn sychu dysgl a'i throi hi wyneb i waered. 14Bydda i'n gwrthod y rhai sydd ar ôl o'm pobl, a'u rhoi nhw i'w gelynion. Byddan nhw fel ysbail i'w gasglu a gwobrau rhyfel i'w gelynion. 15Mae hyn am eu bod wedi gwneud pethau drwg, ac wedi fy nigio i, o'r diwrnod y daeth eu hynafiaid allan o'r Aifft hyd heddiw!” 16Ar ben popeth arall roedd Manasse wedi lladd lot fawr o bobl ddiniwed – roedd staen eu gwaed ar bob stryd yn Jerwsalem! Hyn heb sôn am y ffaith ei fod wedi arwain pobl Jwda i bechu a gwneud pethau oedd yn ddrwg yng ngolwg yr Arglwydd. 17Mae gweddill hanes Manasse, a'r pethau wnaeth e gyflawni, (gan gynnwys yr holl bethau drwg wnaeth e), i'w gweld yn y sgrôl Hanes Brenhinoedd Jwda. 18Pan fuodd Manasse farw, cafodd ei gladdu yng ngardd y palas, sef gardd Wssa. Enw ei fam oedd Meshwlemeth (merch Charwts o Iotba). 20Gwnaeth yntau bethau drwg iawn yng ngolwg yr Arglwydd, yr un fath â'i dad Manasse. 21Roedd yn ymddwyn fel ei dad ac yn gwasanaethu ac addoli'r un eilunod ffiaidd. 22Roedd wedi troi ei gefn ar yr Arglwydd, Duw ei hynafiaid, ac wedi gwrthod ei ddilyn. 23Yna dyma rai o swyddogion y brenin Amon yn cynllwyn yn ei erbyn a'i ladd yn ei balas. 24Ond wedyn dyma bobl y wlad yn dienyddio pawb oedd wedi bod yn rhan o'r cynllwyn yn ei erbyn. A dyma nhw'n gwneud Joseia, ei fab, yn frenin yn ei le. 25Mae gweddill hanes yr hyn wnaeth Amon ei gyflawni i'w weld yn y sgrôl Hanes Brenhinoedd Jwda. 26Dyma nhw'n ei gladdu yn ei fedd yng ngardd Wssa, ac yna daeth Joseia ei fab yn frenin yn ei le. 2 Kings 23:26
26Ac eto, roedd yr Arglwydd yn dal yn ddig gyda Jwda; roedd yr holl bethau oedd Manasse wedi eu gwneud wedi ei ddigio fe gymaint. 2 Kings 24:3

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
