1Felly oes unrhyw fantais bod yn Iddew? Oes unrhyw bwynt i'r ddefod o enwaediad? 2Oes! Mae llond gwlad o fanteision! Yn gyntaf, yr Iddewon gafodd y cyfrifoldeb o ofalu am neges Duw. 3Mae'n wir fod rhai ohonyn nhw wedi bod yn anffyddlon, ond ydy hynny'n golygu wedyn fod Duw ddim yn gallu bod yn ffyddlon? 4Wrth gwrs ddim! Mae Duw bob amser yn dweud y gwir er bod “y ddynoliaeth yn gelwyddog” Mae'r ysgrifau sanctaidd yn dweud fel hyn am Dduw: “Mae beth rwyt ti'n ddweud yn iawn;byddi'n ennill yr achos pan fyddi ar brawf.” a
5Ond ydyn ni'n mynd i ddadlau wedyn, “Mae'r pethau drwg dŷn ni'n eu gwneud yn dangos yn gliriach fod Duw yn gwneud beth sy'n iawn, felly mae Duw yn annheg yn ein cosbi ni”? (A dyna sut mae rhai pobl yn dadlau). 6Wrth gwrs ddim! Sut fyddai Duw'n gallu barnu'r byd oni bai ei fod yn gwneud beth sy'n iawn? 7Neu ydy'n iawn dadlau fel yma?: “Mae'r celwydd dw i'n ddweud yn dangos yn gliriach fod Duw yn dweud y gwir, ac mae'n ei anrhydeddu e! Felly pam dw i'n dal i gael fy marnu fel pechadur?” 8Na! Waeth i ni ddweud wedyn, “Gadewch i ni wneud drwg er mwyn i ddaioni ddod o'r peth”! Ac oes, mae rhai yn hel straeon sarhaus mai dyna dŷn ni yn ei ddweud! … Maen nhw'n haeddu beth sy'n dod iddyn nhw!
Dydy perthynas neb yn iawn gyda Duw
9Felly beth ydyn ni'n ei ddweud? Ydyn ni Iddewon yn well yng ngolwg Duw na phawb arall? Wrth gwrs ddim! Dŷn ni wedi dangos fod pechod yn rheoli'n bywydau ni fel pawb arall! 10Mae'r ysgrifau sanctaidd yn dweud y peth yn glir: “Does gan neb berthynas iawn gyda Duw – neb o gwbl! b11Does neb sy'n deall go iawn,
neb sydd wir yn ceisio Duw.
12Mae pawb wedi troi cefn arno,
ac yn dda i ddim.
Does neb yn gwneud daioni – dim un!” c
13“Mae eu geiriau'n drewi fel beddau agored;
dim ond twyll sydd ar eu tafodau.”

14“Mae eu cegau yn llawn melltith a chwerwedd.” e
15“Maen nhw'n barod iawn i ladd;

19Siarad am yr Iddewon mae Duw yma! Mae'r peth yn amlwg – nhw gafodd yr ysgrifau sanctaidd ganddo! Felly beth mwy sydd i'w ddweud? 21Ond mae Duw bellach wedi dangos i ni sut allwn ni gael perthynas iawn gydag e. Dim cadw'r Gyfraith Iddewig ydy'r ffordd, er bod y Gyfraith a'r Proffwydi ▼▼3:21 y Gyfraith a'r Proffwydi: Ysgrifau sanctaidd yr Iddewon, sef yr Hen Destament
yn dangos y ffordd i ni. 22Y rhai sy'n credu sy'n cael perthynas iawn gyda Duw, am fod Iesu y Meseia wedi bod yn ffyddlon. Mae'r un fath i bawb 23am fod pawb wedi pechu. Does neb wedi gallu cyrraedd safon berffaith Duw ar eu pennau eu hunain. 24Duw sy'n gwneud y berthynas yn iawn. Dyma ydy rhodd Duw i ni am fod y Meseia Iesu wedi gwneud popeth oedd ei angen i'n gollwng ni'n rhydd. 25Trwy ei ffyddlondeb yn tywallt ei waed, rhoddodd Duw e yn aberth i gymryd y gosb am ein pechod ni. Cafodd ei gosbi yn ein lle ni! Roedd yn dangos fod Duw yn berffaith deg, er bod pechodau pobl yn y gorffennol heb eu cosbi cyn hyn. Bod yn amyneddgar oedd e. 26Ac mae'n dangos ei fod yn dal yn berffaith deg, wrth iddo dderbyn y rhai sy'n credu yn Iesu i berthynas iawn ag e'i hun. 27Felly oes gynnon ni'r Iddewon le i frolio? Nac oes! Pam ddim? – Yn wahanol i gadw'r Gyfraith Iddewig dydy credu ddim yn rhoi unrhyw le i ni frolio. 28A dŷn ni'n hollol siŵr mai credu yn Iesu sy'n gwneud ein perthynas ni gyda Duw yn iawn, dim ein gallu ni i wneud beth mae'r Gyfraith Iddewig yn ei ofyn. 29Neu ydyn ni'n ceisio honni mai Duw'r Iddewon yn unig ydy Duw? Onid ydy e'n Dduw ar y cenhedloedd eraill i gyd hefyd? Wrth gwrs ei fod e – 30“Un Duw sydd” j ac un ffordd sydd o gael ein derbyn i berthynas iawn gydag e hefyd. Mae e'n derbyn Iddewon (sef ‛pobl yr enwaediad‛) trwy iddyn nhw gredu, ac mae e'n derbyn pawb arall (sef ‛pobl sydd heb enwaediad‛) yn union yn yr un ffordd. 31Os felly, ydy hyn yn golygu y gallwn ni anghofio Cyfraith Duw? How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
